Dubliners – Date Night

Hi everyone,

Hope you all are having a lovely day !! August is almost over and September is 2 days away!! I cannot believe it !!

So last Saturday, I went to a restaurant/pub called ‘Dubliners’.

Downstairs is the pub and upstairs is the restaurant. The place is really relaxed and has a lovely view of the St.Julians bay.

The theme is rustic and the food is delicious and really well priced! The owner is lovely too!

Unfortunately, when I went to take photos of my outfit my mobile decided to go silent on me! So I only took photos inside the restaurant and of the food and of course an occasional selfie!

I was wearing a crop top from H&M, a long maroon maxi skirt from Dorothy Perkins and a pair of sandals from H&M. I also wearing a pair of statement earrings from Ebay. (They kind of show in this selfie)

Like I said, the food was amazing. Even though they did not offer a wide range of gluten free foods I was still pleased with what we got.

We ordered these potatoe bites as a starter. These were boiling hot and were served with a chilli sauce! Even though we might have burnt our tongues, our stomachs were beyond pleased with it!

Then Luke took a burger which looked amazing! And I took a Moroccan Chicken served with some salad and mashed potatoe. Now I thought that it would taste a little spicy but I didn’t feel it. However, Luke took a piece and was like, ‘I do taste it a little on the spicy end.’ So probably the starter just killed all of my sensitive taste buds and I did not taste it spicy. Oh well!

We did not have any dessert as we were so full!! It was YUMMY!!

Then when we left I was about to take my outfit of the day and the camera didn’t want to. So then we met our friends and had some fun at the feast that is celebrated annually in St.Julians.

See in Malta, every city has a patron saint, and some cities go as far as making a week of celebration out of it. Literally, the roads would be closed so no cars can come through. People will bring out their stands of hot dogs, and candy floss or these DELICIOUS fresh doughnuts. There would be a lot of drinking involved!

Basically the entire community comes all as one, and people from outside the city can obviously join. My boyfriend and I are from Swieqi which does not host its own feast week so St.Julians is the closest we come to celebrating anything! Besides all the fun, there are other activities which take place.

Like the city’s band playing out in the road whilst taking out the statue of their patron saint. It’s a Maltese tradition which also includes lovely fireworks !

Anyways, until next time

Sunday Lunch & OOTD

Hi everyone,

Hope everyone is doing well.

Seeing that last week I really enjoyed writing up that post about my sushi evening, today I am going to be doing the same.

Earlier today, my family and I went out for lunch. This is a rare thing that we do, so when we do it, I really enjoy it. I only have one brother, so technically it was a small gathering consisting of myself, my brother, mum, dad and grandma.

Here is the outfit that I wore:

Dress: Boohoo

Sandals: Maltese Outlet

Off the shoulder bag: My grandma somehow made it

We went to Valetta Waterfront which is filled with a road full of restaurants. And let me tell you, you will find a variety of restaurants from Maltese cultured to Italian pizzeria’s to Chinese places.

Today we decided on going to Bistro 516 as it has its very own Gluten Free menu which of course is perfect for me being Wheat and Egg free !!

This is very rare in Malta, however Malta is becoming aware of gluten free foods.

I took an angus beef burger with chips and salad. I chose this because there are very few restaurants that actually serve gluten free buns. The bread that they do is fresh and so good!!  My dad and brother took some pasta.

For dessert I had a Chocolate Brownie which is also Gluten free! It tasted so delicious! I have been waiting so long for this brownie as last time we went there, by the time I ordered it they had none left! So I was so happy to had it at the table and I just devoured that brownie !! It was amazing!

I also did some pokehunting whilst I was there and caught a Magmar plus evolved a Tentacool into Tentacruel!! But then I ended up without any Pokeballs left!!

I hope you all had a lovely Sunday.

Blogmas Day 11, 12, 13 – Makeup Revolution Haul Video, Cafe Cuba and One Year Anniversary

Hi everyone,

So yes I know I missed not one day but two days of blogmas! Shame on me!

However Friday was upset so decided to spend a night in watching TV shows and I went to bed early.

Then Saturday I had a lovely time with my boyfriend where he took me shopping and I bought from MAC and NYX. So I guess was very happy. Will share with you what I got in a separate Blog Post. After we also went to Cafe Cuba and he got this awesome burger and I could take was a Beef Salad.

Then Sunday was our One Year Anniversary so we went to this place called Sharma which serves Indian and Arabic dishes. It was amazing, that I am craving more food from them as I write this blog post!

I got Chicken Tikka Masala and he got Chicken Tandori. And damn where they good with plain rice and this other rice which had added Indian Rices.

The only thing I regret is ordering an ice cream which had an indian taste to it. I guess all I wanted really was Vanilla. But then it actually tasted good but there were moments where I don’t know it would taste weird.

Now I am back home writing to you guys!!
