Anew Essential Youth Maximising Sheet Mask – AVON – Review

Hi everyone,

How are all of you doing?

So do you ever have those days when you just feel so tired, stressed and just need a break? Well recently, those days were more often than others and I needed something to keep me relaxed for a bit.

IMG_1488.JPG

A few days ago Avon Malta kindly sent me this new Anew Essential Youth Maximising Sheet Mask and I finally found the time and the moment to try it out. You can order from Avon through their website – www.avon.com.mt or ask for their catalogue which they can send through their local representative. They could also provide a soft copy of the catalogue and they may send it through Facebook or Whatsapp or by email.  To order the products simply either get in touch with your Local AVON Representative or go directly to them.

So let’s get into the review!

Here is a photo of how my skin looked beforedull and in need of a good face treatment!

How I applied it –

IMG_1470.JPG

It came in this cute golden packet which I cut open thanks to the easy instructions. Before applying it, I cleansed my face and prepped my skin for the face mask. I then gently took out the mask and you will notice a tip on the edge of where your forehead is. That marks the spot of the left side of your face. I gently applied it first on my forehead then past my nose, and then I pulled it gently down onto my neck.

My only concern was that when I applied it, it irritated my eyes a little, however this could be because of my poor application skills of sheet masks. But I rinsed my eyes with a little water and all was well.

I then left the mask on for more than 20 minutes even though on the packet it says to leave on for 15 to 20 minutes. But whilst I had the face mask on, it was so relaxing to be laying down on my bed with the mask on, I was feeling as though my skin was being refreshed. It was just a serene and calm moment.

What it entails to do –

IMG_1486.JPG

This is an anti-ageing mask and it is formulated to help repair cells and firm the look of skin. It should help the skin look more radiant, plump and smooths texture.

It is formulated with phytol to help increase cellular metabolism and renewal, and to help improve skin’s barrier protection. [AVON Malta]

After continuous use it should start to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and makes skin look firmer.

 My thoughts –

Here is how my skin looked after

IMG_1501

IMG_1497

As you can see it just looks more awake, refreshed, it felt so soft and smooth and I liked the natural glow that I was left with. Overall, I loved the end result and I stayed with the refreshed feeling on my skin throughout the day.

It was also a motivational factor to keep me going throughout the day and run the errands that needed to be done.

I recommend this face mask, if you are looking for an easy sheet mask, with refreshing effects!

Have you ever tried this sheet mask? Comment down below!

Thank you once again Avon Malta for giving me this opportunity to test out this product, I enjoyed the experience!

Thank you to everyone who has read this blog post and liked it!

Until next time

Vichy Dermablend 3D Correction Foundation – First Impressions

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your Summer Vacation. I guess if you live in Australia it’s a different story!

Today I shall be writing away about a product that I have grown to love.

If you don’t know, I have acne prone skin and have been dealing with it ever since I hit puberty. I know that probably most of you out there reading my blog might have gone through that icky acne stage or are still going through it.

I still remain with acne scars and pores that are a little deep. Therefore, my skin ain’t perfect!  I have combination skin and I mostly get oily on my nose and my T zone. I also have sensitive skin and hints of redness especially near my nose. Sometimes I have a good skin day whilst other days I just have horrible ones.

IMG_0101.JPG

Here is a photo of my skin before having applied anything. It has gotten so much better throughout the years and I have to thank Vichy for that. I had gone to a dermatologist and he suggested to try out Vichy Normaderm Deep Cleansing Purifying Gel. I started using it along with a skin cream called Skinoren and my skin has gotten better ever since.

I started trying out other products from Vichy and built my fresh skin routine. That will be for another post, but I just wanted to tell you that Vichy has helped me a lot with my skin issues.

IMG_0251.JPG

Today’s post is all about the Vichy Dermablend 3D Correction Foundation. You can also watch my youtube video showing you exactly how the foundation applied –

I would like to thank Vichy Malta for giving me this opportunity to try out this foundation and share it with my  followers!

This foundation is high coverage and one does not need to apply a lot to end up with a great result. Literally, a pea size amount is enough for the entire face.

The texture is thick and besides correcting your skin’s imperfections it also improves the look of oily acne-prone skin.

IMG_0253.JPG

It promotes that –

  • It provides immediate texture correction
  • Helps conceal spots and breakouts of acne
  • Reduces the appearance of redness
  • Leaves the skin looking clearer
  • Mattifies the skin for a natural finish
  • Has SPF 25
  • Recommended by dermatologists and used by makeup artists
  • Non-comedogenic, paraben free and hypoallergenic

My thoughts on this foundation –

I found that applying it with my fingertips was better than applying with the brush that Vichy Malta gifted me. (Please note that the brush isn’t sold however it is gifted) I also then went over my application with a beauty blender.

The foundation felt so refreshing and cooling on my skin as soon as I applied it. I found that it instantly covered my blemishes, redness and imperfections.

IMG_0107

It felt nice and gentle on my skin, not tacky or cakey! It was completely matte and no shine was left on my skin.

IMG_0109

I did notice that my enlarged pores showed more especially around my nose. Therefore, using a pore primer beforehand would help there.

It lasted throughout the day without the need to powder it again. I loved how it made my skin look and feel.

IMG_0245.JPG

Besides it being a high coverage foundation, I also want to add and highlight that it includes salicylic acid and eperulin and these help soothe your skin and reduce the appearance of concerns.

I hope you enjoyed reading today’s post! Have you ever tried this product or any other product from VICHY? Comment down below !!

Thank you so much for reading!!

7th Heaven – Dead Sea Mud Mask – Review

Hi everyone,

A few weeks ago I did a blog post all about 7th Heaven and spoke about the Manuka Honey Peel off mask. You can check it out right here.

Today, I shall be talking about the Dead Sea Mud Mask.

20170730_102712

Unlike the other mask I tried, this was a Mud Mask which meant that it was going to be messier than peel off masks. But, I wasn’t disappointed by the end result that it left me with.

Minerals found in the Dead Sea help clean our impurities and open blocked pores for cleaner and softer skin. So I am all about unblocking those pores and getting rid of them!

20170730_102725

The main ingredients found in this Mud Mask were –

Dead Sea Salt –

A mineral found in the Dead Sea. Dead sea minerals leave our skin feeling relaxed and nourished. I have tried multiple products from Arad which had it’s main ingredients from the Dead Sea. And I loved using their products, they did help my skin become cleaner.

The nutrients from the Dead Sea in this face mask help cleanse our pores, moisturise our skin and draw out any impurities, dirt and grime that we end up with because of today’s modern lifestyle.

Sea Kelp and Seaweed –

These are, “large algae which grow in the seas and oceans around the world, or on rocks below the high-water mark.” Seaweed is, “high in nutrients, is a fantastic detox agent and could even improve the health of your heart. This slimy green plant could be a vital part of your beauty regime.”

The Seaweed and Sea Kelp in the face mask helps with moisturising our skin, “whilst fighting the signs of aging, helping you banish those wrinkles for good.” It can also be seen as a natural exfoliant, and helps with washing away the dead skin cells to leave your skin, “feeling fresh, clean and renewed.”

Lavender –

Lavender is commonly used to treat skin disorders such as acne, wrinkles, psoriasis (which I am accustomed to!) and other inflammatory conditions.

Mud masks in general help with your daily cleansing routine in keeping your skin “super clean” and “less prone to blemishes and uneven skin tones.”

My thoughts –

I applied the Mud Mask after having cleansed my face with my Vichy Normaderm Facial Cleansing Gel.

I then applied the mask on a dry face using a flat foundation brush. I left the mask on for approximately 45 minutes. I KNOW I should have only left the mask on for 15 minutes as that it what it states I should do but it felt so cooling on my face I just wanted to leave it on. That and I was watching an episode of Saving Hope that I couldn’t pause it until it was finished!

But I really love how it left my skin looking so clean and so smooth. Throughout the day I felt my skin feeling refreshed and healthier. I do really recommend this mask and I prefer this one over the Honey Peel off that I tried before!

7th Heaven Face Masks – Manuka Honey Peel Off Review

Hi everyone,

In the following weeks you will see me review some of the 7th Heaven Face Masks. They have such a variety of face masks available, all with different beneficial skin ingredients packed inside them

IMG_9678

IMG_9682

I love applying a face mask once a week and relaxing a little. I think we all need it on our skincare routine!

I never had tried these face masks by 7th Heaven before so I was really excited to try out the first one. I chose the Manuka Honey Peel Off face mask.

IMG_9683

A peel off mask is not messy, gentler on the skin and you can relax while it soothes into your skin.

IMG_9688

IMG_9691
Here I am having just applied the mask

I left the mask on for 30 minutes, I then gently pulled it off and rinsed my face. My skin looked so refreshed.

IMG_9694
Here I am with the mask after having it on for around 15 minutes

After having peeled off the mask I noticed that my skin looked smoother and fresher. It also peeled off some of my whiteheads – therefore this mask really does thoroughly cleanse my skin.

IMG_9697
Here I am after having rinsed off the mask

The main ingredients for this mask were – Aloe Vera, Manuka Honey and Jasmine.

Aloe Vera – This helps people who have an oily skin texture as it moisturises the skin without leaving it feeling greasy.

Manuka Honey – This has lots of antioxidants and besides it reducing signs of ageing it also helps moisturises and soothes the skin. Honey also helps open up any pores, and this makes it easier for the skin to get cleansed and for the pores to become unclogged.

Jasmine – This helps in rejuvenating the skin and it also helps those with dry skin.

I cannot wait to try the other masks!

Arad Dead Sea Malta – Fluffy Liquid Soap Mousse Review

Hi everyone,

This is my fourth post reviewing an Arad product!

I truly am impressed by what these products are doing to my skin. I love the feel of them on my face and now even all over my body!

If you would like to see the other three posts (with the first one giving you a summary of what the Arad brand is all about) then have a look on these posts –

Also, for those of you who are Maltese you can head on over to Arad Dead Sea Malta‘s Facebook Page.

Today’s review is on a body product called The Fluffy Liquid Soap Mousse. It is one of the new products from Arad. I was so hesitant on using this as my body is so sensitive and when I change products it would just set an alarm all over my body; and I could end up with red patches on my skin!

But due to the ingredients being so natural such as Aloe Vera and Vitamin extracts, those red patches I feared never showed up! I was so glad and so I tried it a couple of more times and here I am now being able to write up this review for you guys!

It is described as a “special soaping experience!” It comes out as a “cloud of fluffy soap” that should melt on your skin whilst cleaning and nurturing it. It is enriched with Dead Sea minerals such as Aloe Vera extract and Vitamin E.

It also states that it may be applied to all skin types.

 How did I apply it?

images-7

Well, on the bottle it states that you have to shake it and then turn it upside down and simply push the handle. Honestly, it truly did come out like a cloud of fluffy soap!! You could compare it to when you push out whipped cream out of the can! Then you simply rub it all over your body and rinse.

The soap itself is so soft and when you glide it onto your skin it just feels so gentle on your body.

Now it does have a weird smell of men’s after shave when you put it on BUT this smell gradually lessens as you rinse it off your body. Therefore, if you do not like men’s after shave then do not use it as you might not like it!

For me personally it did not bother me!

images-5

My thoughts –

I can say that I have replaced my everyday body wash with this product as I am so happy with it! Not only does my body not flare up into red patches of mayhem but my skin feels so smooth and soft!

I definitely recommend this product, and it is a perfect product to use when you are having that spa day in the comfort of your own home; while taking a bubble bath to get rid of all the stress of the week!

Have you tried any of the Arad products? What do you think of this product?

Arad Dead Sea Malta – Facial Mud Mask – Review

Hi everyone,

A week ago, I wrote up my first review on a product by the brand – ARAD. You can go check out a Maltese Facebook Page all about them by visiting Arad Dead Sea Malta. They have a variety of products!

In my previous post I introduced the brand Arad and gave a summary of what the brand offers, what ingredients are used and why are these ingredients beneficial towards our skin.

If you would like you can view this first post right here –

Arad Dead Sea Malta – The Facial Cleansing Milk Review

(I also gave a review of a product that I am still loving – the Facial Cleansing Milk – Makeup Remover )

Today’s post is another face product that I have tried around 3 times to be exact. And that is the Arad Facial Mud Mask.

images-9

The product states that the mud mask absorbs any excess oils and removes any dead cells and saborea that you might have on your skin.

It also unblocks clogged pores to allow all toxins and bacteria to find their way out.

images-10

It should also stimulate the skin cells to drink the natural rich humectants it offers; and contains calming plant extracts such as Chamomile and Aloe Vera and it is lightly scented.

My thoughts –

(Excuse the Jammies but like I said I apply this in the MORNING!)

I apply this mud mask 2 times a week. It states on the tube that for oily skin you can use it 2 to 3 times a week; whilst for normal to combination skin you can use it 2 to 3 times a month. So before using it make sure you don’t over-use the product!

I first cleanse my face and then I dry my face using my face cloth. Then I would simply apply the mud mask all over my face and leave it for 15 minutes. (On the tube it says to leave it for 7-15 minutes but I like leaving it for the whole 15 minutes so whatever the mud mask needs to absorb it does so!)

I then rinse with lukewarm water and I will follow it up with my moisturiser and my normal face routine. I like applying this in the morning and it does help me wake up more refreshed and prepped for the day!

It doesn’t have a harsh smell, which is good but the best thing I find about this mud mask is that it isn’t messy at all! I sometimes find that with some face masks when rinsing them off, I won’t rinse them properly and I end up with a dirty and muddy face cloth to wash! However, with this one it is not the case.

I find my skin to be so soft after and I notice that my pores (I don’t know if this is a good thing) but they do show more. But I guess that means the face mask is doing its job by cleaning those little buggers out.

I do find my skin to be cleaner by using these products and shall be trying out a new product this week. Therefore, stay tuned for more reviews on Arad products soon!

Have you ever tried any of these Arad products? If not, are you intrigued to do so?

Arad Dead Sea Malta – The Facial Cleansing Milk Review

Hi everyone,

I hope you had a lovely Christmas and enjoyed the time with your family, friends and loved ones. I wish you all a lovely HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Today’s post is about a product from the brand called Arad.

I would like to thank Arad Dead Sea Malta for giving me this opportunity to try out and review their products. You can visit them right here on their Facebook Page – Click Here.

Therefore, keep your eyes out for a number of reviews from this brand in the upcoming weeks to come and maybe even a Giveaway!

I personally had never tried any of their products, especially since they are skin products. I tend to just stick to my day to day face products and never change them as my skin is quite sensitive. I also have acne prone skin and do breakout quite often.

However, I was curious to try out their products and so I did.

Before I go onto review today’s product I would like to give a basic overview of the brand Arad.

screen-shot-2016-12-27-at-14-03-45

On their website, they state that a source of their products is from The Dead Sea which is, “the deepest hypersaline lake in the world, whose unique mineral content has been used as a boon for healthy skin for thousands of years.”

Arad is made up of 26 minerals (such as Pomegranate, Propolis and Mari Coll n-30 extracts) which are found in the dead sea and together they make the Arad 26 natural skin care line.

What are these ingredients and what do they do?

  • The Pomegranate is a powerful antioxidant, natural SPF booster and has Vitamins A & C.
  • Propolis is a natural ingredient and includes natural minerals and amino acids which are considered to have “antiseptic, antibacterial, water-binding and antioxidant properties.” It also includes Vitamins B compound that controls excess oiliness, pimples, irritability and redness. It also has a soothing effect on the skin.
  • Mari Coll n-30 is a high-purity, marine derived collagen that helps moisturise your skin, strengthens connective skin tissues and provides anti-irritant benefits.

These minerals come with plant-based ingredients that extract the purest of ingredients. The products are “preservative free, and most do not have additives such as parabens.”

Having read this about the brand I was curious to try out at least one of their products immediately!

Yesterday evening I tried out my first product, as it came time for bed I had to remove my makeup. Normally I would use my Vichy Pureté Thermale 3 in 1 but I used something different.

I used the Arad Facial Cleansing Milk – Make Up Remover.

img_6538

This product states that it contains Dead Sea Minerals which helps to remove all kinds of make-up and eliminates skin impurities. It is specially formulated to leave your skin prepared for further absorption of facial creams that you would follow up with after.

It is enriched with calming plant extracts and is suitable for sensitive eyes and users of contact lenses.

15784942_10210107778343619_1553822914_o

I gently squeezed the product onto a cotton pad and began rubbing it against my face. My makeup instantly came off. It wasn’t harsh against my skin nor did it burn my skin or cause any irritation.

15785102_10210107777543599_183950634_o

I was surprised at how quick it removed the makeup, my cotton pad was full of all that gunk!

It then came time to remove my eye makeup – and I was surprised as it again did not irritate my eye area and it removed my eye makeup with one rub! Yes I did have to go rub again to remove my mascara but the eyeliner came off so quick where usually I would have to rub a few times until it has cleared!

When I was done, I knew that my skin was cleansed of all my makeup by noticing that my pores were emphasised and huge! Was I happy with that? Maybe not but this Facial Cleanser really does the trick at removing your makeup!!

img_6540

I highly recommend this especially after a night out dancing with your friends! I know the feeling of just wanting to go home and get into bed without washing off your makeup! But with this product I am pretty sure that it would only take a minute or two and then you can jump into bed and snore all the way through to the afternoon!

Have you ever tried any products from the brand? If not, are you curious to try them out now?

Thank you so much for reading!!
