Testing PRIMARK Makeup – FULL FACE Makeup Look

Hi everyone,

IMG_0065

This week I uploaded a video all about Primark Makeup. Back in April I picked up some products in the hopes of making a video and a blog post like this … so here goes!

You can watch the video right here of me applying Primark makeup and you can see all my first reactions of the products too.

Now I shall be writing a little about each of these products, after having tried them on other occasions and saw how long they lasted.

Products I bought –
Primark Liquid Foundation –  Shade – Cool Sand – £2.50

IMG_0098

I did not like the smell of this foundation, it reminded me of sunscreen. It is a very water based formula and applies well with a foundation brush. If your skin is not prepped well then this foundation will bring out your pores so much and create cake face.

IMG_9948

It states that it is a medium coverage foundation. I find that to not be true, I believe it is more of a light coverage. It is an oil free formula and it dries to a semi matte finish. After having applied this product more than once, I have noticed that when it dries to the point it can, it still leaves my face feeling sticky. Nothing some powder cannot fix, but still that’s a point I wanted to share.

Was it worth the £2.50 overall? Meh, but I prefer this than the stick foundation.
Primark Foundation Stick – Shade – Sand – £2

IMG_0083

IMG_0084

I got this in the WRONG shade. But funnily enough it blended nicely on the skin and it didn’t look that dark on me, as you can see in the video. It’s texture is quite thick, so you need to blend it well or else it will look so cakey on the skin.
Primark Stick Concealer – Shade – Ivory – £0.90

IMG_0096

For only 90p I LOVED this concealer. I think it blended nicely, even though my under eye lines were still a little visible. But it settled nicely and lasted long too. I mean for only 90p I would say it’s a good enough result.
Primark Mattifying Pressed Powder – Shade – Sand – £2

IMG_0068

IMG_0070

At first I thought that this powder wasn’t going to blend well into the skin but after using my brush and brushing it into my skin, it blended well. I liked the after effect that this powder gave on my skin and after using this product it did not leave my skin feeling sticky.

I think it’s a good enough powder for only £2!
Primark Bronze Glow Bronzing Powder – Sundipped – £2

IMG_0080

IMG_0081

I love this bronzer, I have used it multiple times since I filmed this video. It is a lovely chalky brown, very natural and settles so nicely onto the skin.

I have enjoyed using this to create a sunkissed look.
Primark Strobe and Glow Cream Highlighting Palette£4

IMG_0085

IMG_0086

So the formula of this product is quite water-y and sticky … maybe Kylie Jenner stole the idea from Primark when she created her Wet Set of highlighters? I don’t know as I don’t have that Wet Set but this highlighting palette reminded me of that.

IMG_0087

Besides the formula, I liked how the highlights stayed on my skin. They aren’t that pigmented so you would need to go back and forth to create the highlight that you crave. But I like the effect of these highlights. Do I think it was worth £4 from Primark? No.
Primark PRO Tight Lining Pen£3

IMG_0092

IMG_0091

This was a FAIL and it was £3! I tried tight lining with it and nothing comes out. It’s so strange as when I swatch the pencil on my hand, the product comes out and there’s a lovely black line but then when I come to using it on my eyes … NOTHING.

IMG_0093

I tried creating a cat eye look, shaking it, pressing when I applied it but still not enough product was coming out. Therefore, this is such a FAIL!!

Primark Volumising Mascara£1

IMG_0088

IMG_0090

I love this mascara. It doesn’t add volume to my lashes but it does lengthen them and separates them really well. And it lasts long and the product does not transfer on my lids! For only a POUND this product is GREAT!
Primark Lip Liner Pencil£1 in Desert Sand

IMG_0094

IMG_0095

I love the shade this lip liner comes in. It’s a cute peachy pink. It applies really well and lasts long on the lips. It isn’t that patchy and it isn’t drying as well. Again, for a pound I think this product passed my test.

IMG_9950
Primark Long Lasting Lipstick £2.50

IMG_0072

IMG_0075

I don’t know what the name of this shade of the lipstick I got is but I like the colour. It is a purple pink dark shade. It isn’t patchy and the colour applies well. The shape of the bullet lipstick made it easier to apply on my lips.

It didn’t last long as I had to retouch it throughout the day but I don’t hate it. Would I buy it again? I don’t think so as you can find other options from the drugstore.

Those were the products I tried and here is the finished makeup look that I created during the video –

IMG_9972

Overall, Primark makeup are packaged so nicely, and some items are hits whilst others are total fails. I quite enjoyed testing these out and I guess we all wanna save a little.

IMG_0066

In my opinion you should try and get yourselves to Primark, if you live in the UK or anywhere else that has Primark; and try out their range of makeup. You might be surprised what you can find at such a little price!

Have you ever tried any makeup from Primark? What are your thoughts? Comment down below!!

Thank you so much for reading!

My Summer Essentials

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all having a lovely SUNDAY! Many of you are probably celebrating today with your families and your dad’s. I know I am, we are soon going to have a good home cooked lunch.

Yesterday I uploaded a new video on my Summer Essentials. This was a collaboration with Ashley Stoyko, make sure you can visit her channel. And we decided of putting together our Summer Essentials. We decided on choosing 5 but we couldn’t stick with that and we chose more. I based my Essentials around 7 different items.

#1 – BB Creams

I love applying BB Creams in Summer. I can also create a makeup look with only my BB Cream and ignoring the foundation step. In summer putting on foundation during the day is a little bit stressful especially on our Maltese Islands unless you set it will and have a good setting spray (which I will mention in my next essential).

My favourite BB Cream is the Rimmel 9 in 1 BB Cream. I have a review all about this you can visit it right here.

#2 – Makeup Setting Sprays

We all need this in our collection especially during summer. In winter I tend to forget setting my makeup with one of these but in Summer if I forget it, I regret it!

My favourite setting sprays are – the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray, the Avon Mark Setting Spray and the Gerard Cosmetics Slay All Day Setting Spray in the Peach scent.

#3 – Crop Tops

I live in crop tops during the summer. I mostly buy them from H&M and they just make a summer outfit pop! I love wearing them with high waister shorts and sandals.

#4 – Hats

The two hats I own are from H&M and Primark. I love running around with them, doing my daily errands. A hat is your best friend in summer .. that and sunglasses and sunscreen – we cannot forget those!

#5 – Bikinis

I don’t go swimming much and I prefer going to a pool rather than the sea. The irony is Malta is known for its sunny beaches .. so yeah. But of course I still go, sometimes but I go. And I bought these 2 bikinis I showed on my video last summer from ebay and those are the ones I am using this year!

#6 – Lip Stains

I love matte lips but in Summer I prefer lip stains. They are so lightweight on the lips and leave your lips moisturised. They last all day and there’s no way you will need to reapply these. I love using the MUA Inked Lip Stain – I love their formula and they are so soft on the lips.

#7 – Summer reads

I love lounging on the beach or the pool with a book. I think I prefer reading a book rather than going for a swim and getting my hair all tangled up either with sea salt water or chlorine!

I have plenty other summer essentials but I would say that these are my basics!

What are your summer essentials?

I hope you enjoyed reading my blog post, thank you so much for doing so!

Happy Sunday!

Malta Fashion Week – TRESemme Collaboration and final fashion shows – Suzana Peric, Nathan Micallef & Ritienne Żammit

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I attended the last set of shows at Malta Fashion Week. I really enjoyed going to these shows, getting dressed everyday, being in heels and basically all dolled up for an unforgettable evening!

Yesterday, I also collaborated with TRESemme Malta! I really would love to thank them for such an opportunity and for sharing with me some lovely products! Yesterday, I actually did my hair wavy for the evening.

TRESemme was actually one of the main sponsors of Malta Fashion Week and with the help of all the hair stylists, the models’ hair always looked on fleek! As was the makeup by all the makeup artists who took part!

IMG_9143

The final fashion shows were –

Suzana Peric from Serbia presented Dancing in the Clouds.

IMG_9465

IMG_9462

IMG_9467

IMG_9479

There were lots of dresses in black and white. Some were in red too. Basically a lot of colour was going on during the show. However, each dress mostly had just the one chosen colour.

IMG_9473

IMG_9477

IMG_9480

I loved the dresses, all were so flow-y and girly. Most of the dresses had floral patterns. All the models’ hair were put in a pony tail and the makeup was kept natural.

My favourite outfit of the show –

IMG_9478

Nathan Micallef who is studying in London, presented us with a presentation entitled Really Not Real. All the pieces were so unique and the models came so close to the audience.

IMG_9482

IMG_9485

IMG_9489

The colours were mostly grey and white and most of the pieces had the emblem of Nathan’s brand. Well done to Nathan for this unique presentation.

IMG_9486

The final show was by Ritienne Żammit. She gave us a hint of Maltese in her outfits. She presented with I Love Valletta. I like how she interpreted her home country into her fashion style. Her designs and patterns on the dresses were so unique!

IMG_9534

I would love to get my hands on this outfit – I think that even though it is sportive it just is so fashionable! I love it!

IMG_9522

The hair of the models were either in a short black bob or else some models were rocking space buns, such a trend right now! I loved their makeup too, so earthy.

Dinner Date – #OOTD

Hi everyone,

If you recall in my previous #OOTD blog post I wrote that I will be posting another OOTD Blog post … and so here it is!

20170513_193343

Last Saturday Luke and I went out to celebrate him having finished his dissertation. I am so proud of him … last step Luke!

Anyways, we went to eat at Suruchi in St Julians. It is this little Indian restaurant in Malta that hasn’t been opened for long. The food is lovely however, as the place was so small I got a little bit faint inside as I was feeling too hot. In fact, we ended up taking most of the food home.

On the day I was wearing  –

20170513_193316

Top – from Primark – It is a puffy pink nude top but what I like about it the most is that it has these bows tied near the elbow which makes it so unique. It also comes with puffy sleeves.

Jeans – from Bershka – My only white pair of jeans found in my closet. And they are also ripped at the knees and they are high waisted.

High Heels – from Main Street Fashion Wear in Rabat – I love these shoes – they are one of my faves but I hardly wear them. I took this occasion to do so! It’s peep toe and covered in a cute purple and green floral pattern.

20170513_193320(3)

Accessories – Earrings – Accessorize – I hardly ever wear big and dangly earrings but since I didn’t wear any necklaces and my top was all one colour I decided on wearing them.

20170513_193324(0)

20170513_193320

20170513_193322

And here is what we ate –

20170513_202000
Starter – some type of spicy chicken

20170513_203510
Tikka Masala
20170513_203823
Pilau rice with the Tikka Masala sauce and Naan bread

Do you like Indian? What will you be doing this weekend?

Thank you so much for reading!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Mother’s Day Lunch #OOTD

Hi everyone,

I haven’t done one of these posts in so long! However, this week keep your eye out for another post like this one!

I don’t do much of these because I tend to be the one taking most of my photos; if not Luke/ my brother/ my dad/ or my friends are the ones taking the photos whenever I am out with them!

So yesterday was Mother’s Day and my family and I went out for Sunday Lunch at the Blue Creek Restaurant in Għar Lapsi. So I took the opportunity and asked Aidan (my brother) and my dad to take some quick photos. And they did quite a good job!

The outfit I wore yesterday was all Pink and Spring themed even though the weather wasn’t anything but Spring like!

18552910_10211390762057410_1754566276_o

18553084_10211390762617424_1571314192_o

The Crop Top is from H&M. I love buying crop tops from them as one they are well priced but still of good quality. And two they fit nicely on me.

The Skirt is from Primark and besides it having a striped pattern it also has a pocket on the mid left side. It’s high waist and has a zip that goes all the way down.

The Shoes are also from Primark. I love the colour and the pattern of them. They are what I call the perfect Summer shoes you can have in any colour.

The Clutch Bag was a gift from a student of mine and I absolutely love it. I am a klutz when it comes to opening it as Luke knows how to open it more than I do but I still manage nonetheless. I find that you can fit your purse, a lipstick and some tissues in it and still have place for something small. I also love the gold chain it comes with, you can unhook it if you wish.

18519284_10211390929581598_492346685_o.jpg

The Choker is also from Primark and I love how delicate and shiny it is. The intricate design makes it even more beautiful. I loved pairing it with this outfit.

And while at the restaurant I also took some snaps of the lunch.
