Vichy Dermablend 3D Correction Foundation – First Impressions

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your Summer Vacation. I guess if you live in Australia it’s a different story!

Today I shall be writing away about a product that I have grown to love.

If you don’t know, I have acne prone skin and have been dealing with it ever since I hit puberty. I know that probably most of you out there reading my blog might have gone through that icky acne stage or are still going through it.

I still remain with acne scars and pores that are a little deep. Therefore, my skin ain’t perfect!  I have combination skin and I mostly get oily on my nose and my T zone. I also have sensitive skin and hints of redness especially near my nose. Sometimes I have a good skin day whilst other days I just have horrible ones.

Here is a photo of my skin before having applied anything. It has gotten so much better throughout the years and I have to thank Vichy for that. I had gone to a dermatologist and he suggested to try out Vichy Normaderm Deep Cleansing Purifying Gel. I started using it along with a skin cream called Skinoren and my skin has gotten better ever since.

I started trying out other products from Vichy and built my fresh skin routine. That will be for another post, but I just wanted to tell you that Vichy has helped me a lot with my skin issues.

Today’s post is all about the Vichy Dermablend 3D Correction Foundation. You can also watch my youtube video showing you exactly how the foundation applied –

I would like to thank Vichy Malta for giving me this opportunity to try out this foundation and share it with my  followers!

This foundation is high coverage and one does not need to apply a lot to end up with a great result. Literally, a pea size amount is enough for the entire face.

The texture is thick and besides correcting your skin’s imperfections it also improves the look of oily acne-prone skin.

IMG_0253.JPG

It promotes that –

  • It provides immediate texture correction
  • Helps conceal spots and breakouts of acne
  • Reduces the appearance of redness
  • Leaves the skin looking clearer
  • Mattifies the skin for a natural finish
  • Has SPF 25
  • Recommended by dermatologists and used by makeup artists
  • Non-comedogenic, paraben free and hypoallergenic

My thoughts on this foundation –

I found that applying it with my fingertips was better than applying with the brush that Vichy Malta gifted me. (Please note that the brush isn’t sold however it is gifted) I also then went over my application with a beauty blender.

The foundation felt so refreshing and cooling on my skin as soon as I applied it. I found that it instantly covered my blemishes, redness and imperfections.

IMG_0107

It felt nice and gentle on my skin, not tacky or cakey! It was completely matte and no shine was left on my skin.

IMG_0109

I did notice that my enlarged pores showed more especially around my nose. Therefore, using a pore primer beforehand would help there.

It lasted throughout the day without the need to powder it again. I loved how it made my skin look and feel.

Besides it being a high coverage foundation, I also want to add and highlight that it includes salicylic acid and eperulin and these help soothe your skin and reduce the appearance of concerns.

I hope you enjoyed reading today’s post! Have you ever tried this product or any other product from VICHY? Comment down below !!

Thank you so much for reading!!

7th Heaven – Dead Sea Mud Mask – Review

Hi everyone,

A few weeks ago I did a blog post all about 7th Heaven and spoke about the Manuka Honey Peel off mask. You can check it out right here.

Today, I shall be talking about the Dead Sea Mud Mask.

20170730_102712

Unlike the other mask I tried, this was a Mud Mask which meant that it was going to be messier than peel off masks. But, I wasn’t disappointed by the end result that it left me with.

Minerals found in the Dead Sea help clean our impurities and open blocked pores for cleaner and softer skin. So I am all about unblocking those pores and getting rid of them!

20170730_102725

The main ingredients found in this Mud Mask were –

Dead Sea Salt –

A mineral found in the Dead Sea. Dead sea minerals leave our skin feeling relaxed and nourished. I have tried multiple products from Arad which had it’s main ingredients from the Dead Sea. And I loved using their products, they did help my skin become cleaner.

The nutrients from the Dead Sea in this face mask help cleanse our pores, moisturise our skin and draw out any impurities, dirt and grime that we end up with because of today’s modern lifestyle.

Sea Kelp and Seaweed –

These are, “large algae which grow in the seas and oceans around the world, or on rocks below the high-water mark.” Seaweed is, “high in nutrients, is a fantastic detox agent and could even improve the health of your heart. This slimy green plant could be a vital part of your beauty regime.”

The Seaweed and Sea Kelp in the face mask helps with moisturising our skin, “whilst fighting the signs of aging, helping you banish those wrinkles for good.” It can also be seen as a natural exfoliant, and helps with washing away the dead skin cells to leave your skin, “feeling fresh, clean and renewed.”

Lavender –

Lavender is commonly used to treat skin disorders such as acne, wrinkles, psoriasis (which I am accustomed to!) and other inflammatory conditions.

Mud masks in general help with your daily cleansing routine in keeping your skin “super clean” and “less prone to blemishes and uneven skin tones.”

My thoughts –

I applied the Mud Mask after having cleansed my face with my Vichy Normaderm Facial Cleansing Gel.

I then applied the mask on a dry face using a flat foundation brush. I left the mask on for approximately 45 minutes. I KNOW I should have only left the mask on for 15 minutes as that it what it states I should do but it felt so cooling on my face I just wanted to leave it on. That and I was watching an episode of Saving Hope that I couldn’t pause it until it was finished!

But I really love how it left my skin looking so clean and so smooth. Throughout the day I felt my skin feeling refreshed and healthier. I do really recommend this mask and I prefer this one over the Honey Peel off that I tried before!

Arad – Facial Scrub – Review

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all having a lovely Sunday. The weather in Malta looks bliss!!

Today’s blog post is all about another post on an Arad product! As you know if you have been on my blog for quite a while, I have been posting reviews about Arad products!

If you haven’t seen them already be sure to check them out, here are just a few –

IMG_8619

Today is all about this Facial Scrub that I have been trying out for 2-3 months. I do not use it every day but I use it in conjunction with my Vichy Cleanser to regulate my acne prone skin. And since the Vichy Cleanser was recommended by my dermatologist I could not stop using it completely.

So what I have been doing is switching the two everyday and I found that this worked. I guess in the end you just have to simply experiment and see what products work out for you. Therefore, this may have worked out for me but it may not work out for you if you have acne.

So what is this Arad Facial Scrub?

IMG_8620

This scrub is formulated with ‘Dead Sea Mud‘ and ‘Natural scrubbing particles‘ to help with cleanse your skin and pores and help in ‘rejuvenating the look of the skin.’

It contains ‘Bees Wax‘ and ‘plant extracts’ which act as ‘skin conditioners‘ to help ‘sooth and calm the skin.’

How to apply it –

Rinse your face as normal, then with your fingertips apply the scrub in circular motions all over your face and avoiding the eye area; do this for one minute or so. Then gentle rinse off.

You could then apply the Arad Day Moisturiser and the Arad Night Cream after. The moisturiser I use is the Arad Hydro Light Moisturizer for Oily Skin.

My thoughts –

IMG_8621

What I like about this scrub is that it isn’t too messy. Even though it has these tiny particles which annoy me, they are easily rinsed off. These particles are the ‘Apricot Seeds‘ which helps in cleansing pores.

Now since I have been using this for a while, I have noticed that my pores are getting slightly smaller. They do not disappear so don’t expect magic. However, they have decreased in size; that makes Kezia very happy!

The scrub makes my skin feel soft and smooth and cleanses my skin thoroughly!

If you are Maltese like me, you can visit Arad Dead Sea Malta’s Facebook Page for more information.

Have you ever tried this product or any other product from Arad? What are your thoughts? If you haven’t, are you intrigued of doing so?

Thank you so much for reading!

Happy Sunday!

Blogmas Day 12 – Max Factor Smooth Miracle Primer & Miracle Match Foundation Review

Hi everyone,

I recently bought two new products that Max Factor recently came out with and have tried them out twice so far.

15555298_10209965515947148_554813180_o

The products I am talking about are the Smooth Miracle Primer and the Miracle Match Blur and Nourish Foundation.

I have previously tried out the Face Finity 3 in 1 foundation, and that is still one of my favourite foundations to use; it gives such lovely coverage and you can make do without applying any concealer!

I have read many great comments about these so I was very excited to try these out.

15536796_10209965521107277_350842677_o

Let’s start off with the Smooth Miracle Primer. It comes in a tube with a pump. I prefer pumps to tubes where you have to squeeze to push the product out. I feel that with a pump you can control how much product comes out.

15515795_10209965521067276_1987787821_o

The primer comes in a similar texture form of a moisturiser.

I used my fingertips to apply the primer onto my face and blended it in circular motions.

I noticed that when applying it, it left my skin feelings soft, smooth and not at all sticky.

15536725_10209965507706942_1970149403_o-tile

It did not leave any redness, which is surprising as whichever primer I tend to use always leaves me with a red face. However, this one did not.

It did decrease the intensity of my pores, which is primarily why I wanted to try out this primer.

Therefore, this is a primer which I shall start using regularly as I did not feel it to be sticky and it also helped my foundation stay in place. And it also helped my overall makeup look stay in place for a long amount of time.

15540595_10209965516187154_871085090_o

Now, let’s move onto writing about the Miracle Match Blur and Nourish Foundation. I got mine in the shade 5o Natural.

Thanks to the primer the foundation blended smoothly onto my skin.

The foundation states that it is a medium to full coverage and can give a lovely natural finish and this is helped by the “translucent particles” that are found in the foundation. They allow, “the skin’s natural highlights to shine through”. These reflecting particles also help, “the skin to radiate and blurs imperfections.”

15409582_10209965518307207_647928462_o.jpg

I applied the foundation with a Milani Foundation flat Brush. I found the foundation to have a medium coverage. I love foundations that leave your skin natural looking and this foundation gave that result. It also blended very easily onto my skin.

15409689_10209965507146928_1316022834_o

It did minimise the appearance of enlarged pores (not completely hide them but minimise them) and therefore I was a happy trooper with that result!

Primer & Foundation with a Translucent Powder on top

Overall, both products gives the skin a radiant finish, minimised the appearance of pores and does not give a sticky feeling whatsoever. They easily blended onto my skin and sat perfectly throughout the day.

They are a little price-y so if you would like to invest in a new primer & foundation I recommend these.

Have you tried out any Max Factor products? Have you tried these out? What do you think of them?

I really hope you enjoyed reading! Thank you so much for doing so.

Have a lovely day!
