New Products from Technic Cosmetics – Review

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all doing well! I am back home for a little break but will be back in Stirling in a week! Today’s blog post is all about the UK Brand called Technic Cosmetics. It’s an animal cruelty free brand that sells a variety of products from face products, to lipsticks to highlighters to contour or blush palettes as well as many other products! Not only do they sell a variety of items but they do sell them at very reasonable prices! You can order/buy Technic cosmetics from various different shops such as Bodycare (if you are from the UK), Peacocks, Dorothy Perkins, Pretty Little Things and Boohoo and many others (click here to view the complete list of where Technic products are sold!)

So anyways, let us go ahead and get started with the review. But, before doing so I would like to once again say thank you to Technic Cosmetics for the lovely products!!

Let’s begin with the review –

Technic Strobe FX Cream – Catching Rays – £4

IMG_3606

You could apply this strobe cream either before applying any foundation to give your skin a lovely natural glow or else you could just apply it as your cream highlight on your cheekbones. I have tried it both ways and found that applying it before anything else, really does help with giving a nicer glow to your skin and to your overall makeup look! It can be a little sticky but after setting your face with some powder, I think you will be all good!

Technic Colour Correcting Setting Powder  – £4

IMG_3603

IMG_3604

The shade that I was sent was a banana shade and this meant that it kind of was too dark for me. I mean you could use it to help cover redness or set your concealer but I prefer to use light skin shades rather than yellow tones. But when I applied it underneath my eyes, even though I did not like the colour I still felt that it set my concealer right without any creases.

Technic Get Gorgeous Highlighter – £3 – Pink Sparkle

IMG_3599

The Get Gorgeous Highlight range is so cute and pigmented from Technic. Pink Sparkle is literally a glittery pink highlight. I don’t like glitter sparkles in my highlight and I preferred the one that I will be mentioning next!

Technic Get Gorgeous Highlighter – £3 – Peachy Candy

IMG_3600

I prefer this shade from the Get Gorgeous Highlighter range for sure! I think this highlight during summer with your summer sun tan will look great. It doesn’t have any glitter specs running around but it just glides onto your cheekbone and gives you a pop of colour and a glow! You could also apply it to your collar bones! It works perfectly and isn’t patchy at all!

Technic Setting Spray -£3

IMG_3609

The scent of this spray isn’t that nice BUT I love the way it sets all my makeup. It just helps me makeup last all day and if you feel your skin tacky or sticky, this will help reduce that feeling. How it sprays is good too and so is the packaging but the scent I am not too keen on. I prefer this to the primer spray that I tried from Technic.

Technic Pro Finish Eyeshadow – Toffee Edition – £8

IMG_3596

This palette has such lovely tones of browns and reds and matte shades as well as shimmer shades. You can create a number of looks from evening makeup looks to morning ones too! It is a perfect starter palette and it also comes with a double ended brush. One side is a blending brush which I loved using and the other side is a flat shaded brush which I am not too sure about! But this palette blends well, is not too powdery and lasts long!

Technic Colour Fix Blush Palette – £5

IMG_3597

I love this blush palette, honestly I do and out of all the products I will mention today, this has to be my FAVOURITE product out of them all!! You can mix different blush shades to create your choice of blush for the day. You have natural blush shades whilst you also have more intense ones. I found them to work well and apply well on my skin and they blended nicely too!

Technic Mega Lash Waterproof Mascara – £4

IMG_3611

The wand of this mascara is great for gripping all your lashes and giving them volume. It doesn’t lengthen my lashes all too much but it does give them volume. It doesn’t transfer and it is waterproof! I love the packaging of it too!

Technic Metallic Lipgloss – £4 in Aphrodite

IMG_3602

I prefer this shade to the one I will be mentioning after this one! It is a little patchy if you are going to apply it on its own but I like applying it on top of a matte lipstick, I find the colour is much better than applying it on its own! It has a sweet smell and even though it is a gloss it isn’t that sticky!

Technic Metallic Lipgloss – £4 in Bling

IMG_3608

Like I wrote, I prefer the shade Aphrodite, but this one I guess is a perfect colour for summer or for those festivals like Coachella! I think they will spring a pop to your makeup look!

And those were the products I had to review for today. If you want you could check out my video down below where I show you how these products applied and also some other products from the brand which I bought myself!

Testing out Technic Makeup

Hi makeup lovers,

How are you all doing? Today’s blog post is all about my new video dedicated to an Animal Cruelty free makeup brand called Technic.

IMG_8863

It is a UK brand that sells a variety of makeup products at reasonable prices. I would like to thank Technic for giving this amazing opportunity to try out their products!!

You could find all of Technic’s products right here – http://www.lovethymakeup.com/products/technic/

Products Mentioned –

Technic Strobe FX Cream Highlighting Cream -Sunkissed

IMG_8867

Now I have never used such a product, so this was a first to me. You could apply this both under your foundation for that glow-y effect or as you would apply any normal highlight powder on the highest regions of your cheeks to achieve such a highlight.

IMG_8875

It comes in a creamy formula that soaks into your skin quickly if applied before foundation. It does give my foundation look a more glow-y texture. And it blends easily if you apply it in the highlighted areas.

This is a very dainty highlight so don’t expect it to be so bam boom bam of a highlight if you know what I mean!

Technic Colour Max Baked Eyeshadows – Silverado

IMG_8870

IMG_8871

OMG! I love this simple cute palette. It comes in six different baked metallic eyeshadows. Mostly focusing on the grey/silver/blue/white shades. Therefore, you could easily create some smokey makeup looks with this palette.

IMG_8873

The pigmentation of these shadows is AMAZING! I mean they swatch well but when applied with a brush they are still amazing nonetheless. And I applied them both with MAC Fix plus and without.

They blend easily on the lid and stay on well after having applied a primer on the lid.

Technic Monster Lash Mascara

IMG_8868

I have never tried such a mascara with a spider looking wand at the end! It really separated my lashes ever so well! It didn’t volumise them so much however, it did give my lashes the additional length they needed.

IMG_8869

But I was impressed by how the spider looking edge of the wand is perfect to apply to the bottom lashes – it helps as it decreases the messy-ness.

Technic Get Gorgeous Highlighting Powder – Pink Sparkle

IMG_8878

IMG_8881

I don’t usually go for highlights which have glitter speckles in them. But this again is quite a dainty highlight – it comes out more than the Sunkissed Strobe FX cream but it still isn’t that va va voom highlight.

IMG_8880

I think I prefer the Strobing cream to this just because the Pink Sparkle highlighting powder contains those glitter speckles.

Technic Colour Max Lipstick – Kiss Catch

IMG_8876

Whilst filming the video I never found the name of the lipstick. And was so disappointed when I didn’t find a name for this lipstick as I love lipsticks with names! But with more searching I found it and the name of the lipstick is Kiss Catch.

IMG_8877

Now in the Technic Colour Max Lipstick Range you find a variety of shades and of sheer or matte formula. The one I got is a matte formula and I absolutely love it. It has a faint scent. But it applies so nicely and smoothly on the lips. It doesn’t last as much as I would want it to but it is so easy to reapply.

I also love the shade Kiss Catch – a lovely rosey everyday pink. I really recommend these lipsticks as they aren’t drying at all rather they are quite moisturising on the lips!

Have you ever tried any of these products? Or have you tried any products from Technic?
