Apologies for not writing the blog posts I promised last week! I guess dissertation stress is taking over! But I want to continue uploading regularly, be it on my blog or my youtube channel. When I am having a bad day, I just love sitting down at my vanity and apply makeup, it is just my sort of therapy to help me relax and get back at thinking more positively.
Anyways, going away from the deep talk as Eyal does on Love Island (Who watches the reality show??), today’s blog post is about my favourite summer lipsticks! I shared a video where I showed you swatches of my choices. So you could either watch that or read this blog post … or do both!!
In summer I love wearing bolder and brighter lipstick colours. I wear less makeup yes but that doesn’t stop me from wearing a vibrant lip shade! My top 10 choices cover pink nudes to fun reds and oranges to a stunning hot pink and even a purple shade. Play around with colours, step out of your comfort zone and have fun with makeup!!
Here were my choices –
1 – Pixi by Petra Matte Last Liquid Lip – Au Naturelle
2 – Huda Beauty Liquid Matte – Bombshell
3 – Catrice Cosmetics Matt 6 hr Lip Artist – Hibiskiss Proof
4 – Revolution Pro Supreme Matte Lip Pigment – Imagine
5 – Milani Amore Matte Lip Creme – Fancy
6 – Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip – More Better
7 – Milani Matte Lipstick – Luxe
8 – Makeup Academy MUA Velvet Lip Lacquer – Zest
9 – Golden Rose Longstay Liquid Matte Lipstick – Shade 06
10 – 3INA The Longwear Lipstick – Shade 508
Which shade was your favourite? What are your favourite lipstick shades for the summer? Let me know in the comments down below!!
See you all next time and thank you all for reading!!
How are you all doing? Here is a Glasses makeup look. Lots of you may be starting school soon or have already started. And some of you wear glasses on daily basis or like me have to wear your glasses for computers/long distances/driving.
Here is a simple makeup look which will still make your eyes pop even though they are behind a pair of glasses. This is also in collaboration with Firmoo.
Firmoo is a website that sells a variety of both vision glasses and sun glasses.
If you would like your own prescription glasses you can order them off this website. You can either enter the details of your prescribed lenses or photocopy your prescription and then let Firmoo do the rest. I feel that this website is a better option from ordering a pair of sight glasses locally. I find that you save money and the glasses are still of good quality!
They ship fast and you get a pocket for free! I think it really is worth it. The customer care service is amazing, therefore if you require any help simply email them and they will reply immediately!!
I also bought two pairs for me mum and I used the Buy one and get one free offer so I only paid for one then!
Basically you can get the Buy one pair and get one pair for FREE from http://bit.ly/bogofirmooglasses By clicking on this link, you can get your very own coupon code and with this code you can get two pairs from Firmoo for the price of one.
Therefore, you are entitled to one pair of glasses for FREE! This includes the frame and standard lenses.
But these glasses that I am showing you in the video were kindly sent to me by Firmoo, so thank you so much Firmoo!!

In this makeup look I also got to use some of my newer makeup from my collection!
You can watch the entire video on this glasses makeup tutorial right here –
Products mentioned for the Glasses Makeup Tutorial –
NYX Angel Veil Primer NYX HD Foundation – applied with my beauty blender Maybelline FIT ME concealer MUA Ultra Fine Loose Setting Powder RIMMEL Stay Matte Pressed Powder – Silky Beige – Applied with my REAL TECHNIQUES Powder Brush
Milani Stay Put Brow Colour – one of my new products – I love this brow product and the brush that came with it. It made filling my brows so easy and straightforward! Loved the finished look it left me with. Max Factor Natural Brow Gel
MUA 15 Shade Palette – Fire Vixen – one of my new products – I love this palette, I think the shade selection is perfect! The shadows are slightly powder-y but I don’t hate that about this palette. They blend ever so nicely and they are the same shade as what is represented in the palette. It is so cheap and affordable from MUA and you get a whole palette with 15 shades! Total bargain!! Shades used – Shade 3 – in my crease – applied with an EBAY Blending Brush Shade 13 – on my counter of my crease – applied with same brush Shade 8 – placed on my lid – Ebay Flat brush Shade 1 – inner corner and under my brow bone – ebay pointed brush Milani Eye Tech Extreme Liquid liner
L’Oreal miss Baby Roll Mega Volume Waterproof Mascara
MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighter – peach Diamond applied with Ebay Highlighter brush – a new product and I loved it. It isn’t a very pigmented highlight even though when you swatch it on your hands it appears to be. But when applied to my cheek bone it doesn’t transfer that much. But I love the slight sheen that it gives me, it is just enough for me. It is a little chalky but it doesn’t appear like that on the skin, so don’t be alarmed that when you swatch it on your hands it will be appear to be so but it isn’t!
MUA Luxe Velvet Matte Lipsticks – Shade 4 & 12 – I love this formula of these lipsticks. The formula feels so nice on my lips, not drying at all. But I do NOT like the bullet these lipsticks come with. The application because of these bullets makes it so hard to do a perfect application of these lipsticks. But apart from that, I love these lipsticks. Even the packaging is pretty sleek.
MUA Velvet Matte Metallic Lip Lacquer – Perseus – I don’t usually like metallic lipsticks and don’t like buying any. But I thought I would give this a shot, and I really liked it. It isn’t patchy and not drying either. I love how it applied and it is a pretty metallic pink shade!
I used theMUA Velvet Matte Lipstick in shade number 4 for this tutorial.
Thank you so much for reading. This blog post had a little bit of everything, a review, a haul and testing out new products!!
Have you tried out any of these products? If so, comment down below! What about the Firmoo glasses, have you ever tried ordering from this website?
I hope you are all having a lovely SUNDAY! Many of you are probably celebrating today with your families and your dad’s. I know I am, we are soon going to have a good home cooked lunch.
Yesterday I uploaded a new video on my Summer Essentials. This was a collaboration with Ashley Stoyko, make sure you can visit her channel. And we decided of putting together our Summer Essentials. We decided on choosing 5 but we couldn’t stick with that and we chose more. I based my Essentials around 7 different items.
#1 – BB Creams
I love applying BB Creams in Summer. I can also create a makeup look with only my BB Cream and ignoring the foundation step. In summer putting on foundation during the day is a little bit stressful especially on our Maltese Islands unless you set it will and have a good setting spray (which I will mention in my next essential).
My favourite BB Cream is the Rimmel9 in 1 BB Cream. I have a review all about this you can visit it right here.
#2 – Makeup Setting Sprays
We all need this in our collection especially during summer. In winter I tend to forget setting my makeup with one of these but in Summer if I forget it, I regret it!
My favourite setting sprays are – the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray, the Avon Mark Setting Spray and the Gerard Cosmetics Slay All Day Setting Spray in the Peach scent.
#3 – Crop Tops
I live in crop tops during the summer. I mostly buy them from H&Mand they just make a summer outfit pop! I love wearing them with high waister shorts and sandals.
#4 – Hats
The two hats I own are from H&M and Primark. I love running around with them, doing my daily errands. A hat is your best friend in summer .. that and sunglasses and sunscreen – we cannot forget those!
#5 – Bikinis
I don’t go swimming much and I prefer going to a pool rather than the sea. The irony is Malta is known for its sunny beaches .. so yeah. But of course I still go, sometimes but I go. And I bought these 2 bikinis I showed on my video last summer from ebay and those are the ones I am using this year!
#6 – Lip Stains
I love matte lips but in Summer I prefer lip stains. They are so lightweight on the lips and leave your lips moisturised. They last all day and there’s no way you will need to reapply these. I love using the MUA Inked Lip Stain– I love their formula and they are so soft on the lips.
#7 – Summer reads
I love lounging on the beach or the pool with a book. I think I prefer reading a book rather than going for a swim and getting my hair all tangled up either with sea salt water or chlorine!
I have plenty other summer essentials but I would say that these are my basics!
What are your summer essentials?
I hope you enjoyed reading my blog post, thank you so much for doing so!
How are you all doing? Hope you are having a great start to the week!
Yesterday, I released a BONUS video up on my channel and it was all about my April Favourites; ranging from hair products, skincare and makeup!
My April 2017 Favourites –
Tangle Teezer
I love using this to untie my knots that seem to love my hair! I love using in this show before applying conditioner and before rinsing it off. This helps my hair in not getting too tangled after coming out of the shower!
TRESemme’ Salon Sleek Frizz Control Smooth Memory Spray
I love using this before straightening my hair and to keep my hair from frizzing after having had a shower!
Arad Facial Cleansing Milk
This has been my favourite product to use to remove my makeup! It literally takes off any makeup you could possibly use! It is so soft and gentle on the skin. You can click hereto read an entire blog post all about this product!
Arad Mineral Facial Scrub
I have been using this in conjunction with my Vichy cleanser and have loved the combination. It really has helped my pores decrease in size and helped keep my face cleansed and clean. You can click here to read an entire blog post all about this product!
NYX Angel Veil Skin Perfecting Primer
I have been using this primer constantly this month – as in April! It helps keep my makeup last longer and also helps create a nice base before applying other makeup products! It also helps decrease the look of pores!
L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Foundation
I have been wanting to buy this foundation for a while now and now having tried it I can say it was worth the wait and the money! I would say this a medium to full coverage – very buildable! I love how it sits on the skin – not cakey whatsoever!
For the price it is amazing! One of my favourite concealers to highlight the bridge of my nose, my cupid’s bow and chin! And also to conceal under my eyes. It doesn’t crease and lasts all day!
Wycon Prime and Fine Powder
This sets my foundation and concealer nicely. It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin and the shade is perfect and blends well!
Milani Baked blush in Berry Amore
I love this blush – it’s like a mix of orange, pink and gold altogether! It has tiny glitter speckles which adds to the intensity and glimmer of this blush! I also love the packaging of the baked blushes by Milani!
Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer
I have been wanting this product ever since I saw Kathleen Lights rave about it so many times! I ordered mine off ebay! I forgot to say in the video that it has an intense summer smell that makes you excited for beach and summer days. It just creates a natural and bronzed look. It is very light weight and not that intense – my favourite!
Sleek Precious Metals Highlight Palette
The packaging is gorgeous and the highlights are amazing! My favourite shade is Antique Bronze which is a lovely gold cream highlight. Perfect for not pointing out your pores more as a powder highlight would!
Max Factor Natural Brow Styler
I love this as it settles and tames my brows in place. It keeps them intact all throughout the day and dries clearly.
Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara
This mascara has been an old favourite of mine. It just separates and lengthens my lashes nicely. It also doesn’t transfer on eyelids.
Essence Lash Princess Volume Mascara
Yes if you are doing a physical activity and you are wearing this – it may transfer on your eyelids. But it just lengthens and volumises the lashes ever so nicely!
Essence The Cushion Eyeliner
I had never used a cushion eyeliner before and let me just say this small pot really impressed me! It just creates a lovely intense black line!
Essence The Eyeliner Waterproof Pen
You can create a thick or bold line with this waterproof pen. It doesn’t move either! It is not patchy whatsoever although, as the day goes by it does become patchy and you might want to retouch it.
BH Cosmetics Illuminate by Ashley Tisdale- Beach Goddess Palette –
This palette is just too cute. I love the shades they are all so natural and you can create different looks. My favourite shades from this palette are Fiji – a cream shade , Maui – a copper shade and St. Lucia – a bronze shade. The eyeshadows are also so pigmented and blend nicely together.
MUA Velvet Lip Lacquer – Sizzle
You know that I love these lipsticks! I also includes this shade in my Favourite Spring Lipsticks video and couldn’t resist but to include this in my April Favourites too! I love this shade – it is a beautiful orange/red shade! This one isn’t patchy whatsoever!
Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip – Point Zero
I know that this doesn’t look like a spring shade but I loved wearing it this month and found myself reaching it for it more than I thought I would. The wand isn’t my favourite, but once applied I love the shade on my lips. It is like a brown/nude shade and has a bit of a satin shimmer finish. This was one of the collaborations Kathleen Lights did with Colourpop.
Favourite TV Show – 13 Reasons Why
Oh my god – if you haven’t seen this you really should! It is a Netflix TV Show made up of 13 episodes – 13 reasons why Hannah did what she did! It is a different story from what you normally see but worth watching because these things actually do happen and we need to have our eyes opened more!
Favourite Movie – Beauty and the Beast
This is such a cute movie. I normally do not like movies which have songs in them like musicals do. But I didn’t mind the songs in this movie! The costumes and the hair was amazing and I love the little cutlery dancing around the objects being animate. Watching this movie also brought back childhood memories of when I used to see the cartoon movie on tape!
What were your favourites of April 2017? Have you tried any of the above products?
Boy I haven’t written here in a while. I miss it so much. I should be posting a couple of blog posts in the coming week. . . So STAY TUNED!!
I hope you all had a lovely Easter! Mine was spent in London with my mum so yes expect a Primark Haul soon!
Today’s video is all about some NEW MUA products that recently came out. I bought them a while ago and managed to film a video for you guys. This was my First Impressions of the products as before having filmed this video I never tried them out! I created this look with copper pink eyes and rosey dark pink lips.
I noticed that MUA have recently came out with some other NEW products! I am so wanting to get my hands on them and am so disappointed that I didn’t notice them in Superdrug while on holiday!!
Here are the products mentioned in the video and also a little written summary of my after thoughts –
I love using this powder to set my overall foundation. Yes it is a little too powder-y but it does the job in setting all your face products and settling them down nicely. When taking pictures I find that my face doesn’t come looking as white as can be therefore there isn’t any flashback. I prefer however, using this only to set my under eye concealer rather than applying it all over my face.
Finally, this is a bargain as you get a lot of product for only £4!
This is the product I prefer to set my overall face products with rather than the fine loose setting powder. It doesn’t move my foundation all around and the blush, bronzer and highlight settle down nicely on this product. This is a great product and is very affordable at only £4!
I did not use this product on camera however I did use it after. Besides there only being half of the product in the tub it is an okay primer to start off your makeup look. It doesn’t make my skin red and helps in decreasing the look of my pores. It isn’t shiny as well!
However, again I did not like that the product came half empty and it was £5! I don’t think I would buy this product again!
MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighters –
I love these highlighters. I have others in my collection and would like to get the other new shades that they recently came out with as well (Peach Diamond, Ice Sparkle, Pearlescent Sheen) . They create a bright highlight across your cheekbone which can be seen a mile away. I love how they don’t emphasise any lines or pores on your skin but settle nicely on my face. I absolutely love these highlighters and they are also so affordable at £3 each!
From Left to Right – Rosewood Glimmer, Golden After Glow, Golden Scintillation
I showed the following shades in my video – Golden After Glow – literally a golden glimmer highlight! Rosewood Glimmer– a rosey/pinky/pinkred, original highlight! Golden Scintillation – a softer and lighter yellow golden glimmer highlight!
Illumination Highlight Kits
MUA also released two illumination Highlight Kits. The first I totally dig as even though the highlights are quite light they still come up as very natural on my skin. The second kit I think is for those who have darker skin tone as some shades are more like a contour, bronze and dusky rose shade rather then a highlight for us fair kinda gals. But I think they would look amazing on those who darker skin tones and want a natural looking highlight!
The shades are powders and matte and can be layered together to create an effortless highlight. These palettes however are a little bit pricey for £6 but you do get 6 different shades so I guess a £1 for each!
This eyeshadow palette was so difficult to work with. The shades are all shimmer-y and are so difficult to pat onto your eyelid. I used that one ember shade all over my eyelid and I do not know how many times I had to go back and forth and add more product for me to be completely happy with the end result.
In the end I did get a good enough look however, I would not buy this palette again. I loved using the palest of shades to highlight with but that’s it! I guess for the price being £3.50 you really don’t get much from this product.
Lip Products –
MUA Velvet Lip Lacquers –
You all know how much I love these velvet lip lacquers! They were the first matte liquid lipsticks I ever bought and applied onto my lips! I love them, some colours are misses but some are amazing! I will be doing a separate video showing you lip swatches of each of these shades .. so STAY TUNED for that!
From Left to Right – Panache – Wine Red Shade Curious – Dark Purple Shade
Sizzle – Perfect Orange Red Shade Gravity– Pink Nude Shade
Thank you so much for reading! I would love to hear your thoughts of these products. Have you ever tried them? Would you like to if you haven’t? Comment down below!!
As you may know I am crazy about lip products! So if you have been following my Youtube channel and blog for a while you would know that I always do my favourite seasonal lipsticks!
And as Spring has just rolled in I had to do my Favourite Spring Lipsticks. However, this video was a collab with Daisy Taveras. You should really visit and support her channel as she does amazing makeup videos!!
My top 10 lipstick picks for this season are –
MAC Amplified Lipstick – Fast Play
I love this as it has such a lovely pink and creamy finish! Perfect lipstick for an everyday Spring Makeup Look! Sleek Matte Me Ultra Smooth Matte Lip Cream – Birthday Suit
This is such a gorgeous pink shade! I absolutely love this and the formula from Sleek! Max Factor Velvet Matte Lipstick – Blush
This is such a gorgeous fun pink to wear. It isn’t light or bright but just in between! I love the formula of these lipsticks too – they are so moisturising! NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream – Prague
I love the Soft Matte Lip Cream’s from NYX! And this is quite similar to the shade Blush from before. However, this shade is more matte than the other and it is slightly darker! Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Lipstick – Summer Lovin’
This is an out there kinda’ pink!!! Something that is bold and fun to wear! Reminds me of Nicki Minaj! Nonetheless, you can rock this on a night out makeup look. (EBAY DUPE) Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick – Double Date
Even though this is a dupe it is still a pretty shade. I had to reapply it a couple of times to get the finished look. But then it settles nicely on the lips! Essence Matt Matt Matt Longlasting Lipgloss – Shade 5
This is such a gorgeous pinky red! I love the way it settles on the lips and it isn’t all that matte but has a slight sheen to it. Milani Amore Matte Lip Cream – Amore
I love the scent of these formula lipsticks! This pink red shade is just GORGEOUS! Wear some eyeliner and mascara and add this, and you’re good to go! MUA Velvet Lip Lacquer – Sizzle
This is a lovely burnt orange shade. I guess orange is a more autumnal colour however I like this for spring as it isn’t dark! Golden Rose Liquid Lipstick – Shade 8
This again is a lovely pink shade – very fun and bright!
What is your favourite spring shade? Comment down below !!
This video has been pre-uploaded for a while now and it finally went up on my Youtube Channel!!
Here today I have my makeup, skin care and hair products empties that I used throughout spring, summer and autumn. Yes, I filmed this video a while ago but I couldn’t put it up earlier so it had to wait for its time; and that time is NOW.
The products mentioned were –
Makeup Discs to clean away your makeup Simple Wipes Vichy Purete Thermale 3 in 1 Cleansing Milk Vichy Cleanser Vichy Normaderm Anti Blemish Cream Skinoren Cream Herbal Essence Conditioner Kite Z Shampoo Suave Heat Protection Spray Tea Tree Refreshing Body Wash Tea Tree Oil Sensodyne Toothpaste P.S. I am so excited to be sharing with you this Youtube Video. As you know lip videos are my favourite ones to film. I have previously filmed my favourite seasonal lipsticks however, never did one for Winter until now!!
So here are my favourite 10 lipsticks that are all reasonably priced as all of them are drugstore as I now have realised!!
MUA Velvet Lip Lacquer in Harmony
As you know I love the MUA Velvet Lip Lacquers. Even though they aren’t long last and need a constant re application especially when food or drink is involved, their range is great. They have so many shades in their collection including four new SPRING shades1!!
Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in Point Zero
This was one of the collaborations that Kathleen Lights did with Colourpop and of course I had to get my hands on it! I love the formula of their satin lips and this lip shade screams winter!! Kathleen also released a new set of three lipsticks with Colourpop called Aquarius Bundle!
Essence XXXL Longlasting Velvet Matte Lipgloss in Silky Red
The formula isn’t the best but the scent of this lipstick is AMAZING! I have only managed to get my hands on one of these shades from this range. I love the formula as it is very soft and creamy!
Focallure Matte Lips in Shade 03 Burnt Amber
I purchased these off Ebay and I love the range. They are a little patchy and a little bit sticky but when I apply some sort of lip moisturiser before hand it definitely helps!
3ina Lipstick Shade 102
3INA is a brand that we recently got in Malta, there are 3 branches and I love the shop and the way it is designed! I love their products, and they are well priced too! The only thing that I don’t like about this lipstick is the bullet is so annoying to apply with!
BH Cosmetics Bh Liquid Lipstick in Clara
I absolutely love the formula of these lipsticks! They dry to a matte perfect finish and they have the fastest drying formula that I have ever tried! They are also long lasting as well!
NYX Soft Matte Lip Creme in Copenhagen
I love the Soft Matte Lip Range from NYX I think they have such a lovely range of shades! The scent that these lipsticks have is AMAZING!! I like this shade however you have to be so careful around it as it tends to get patchy!
HUDA Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Vixen – Ebay Replica
So I cannot lie and tell you that this is the original products but no it is a knock off from Ebay. And I was hesitant in trying these out but I did and actually like how the colour pay off truly is! They do have a scent to them not a chemically one as you would expect off ebay! They are a little patchy and need constant re application but apart from those factors I love this lipstick!
Milani Amore Matte Lip Creme in Magnetic
The MilaniAmore Matte Lip Creme’s are by far my favourite liquid lipsticks! They have the sweetest scents from all these lipsticks I have mentioned! They are not that long lasting but are so soft and creamy! They apply so well and smoothly across the lips !! The applicator is helpful in creating a precise shape onto your lips!
Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Dominatrix – Ebay Replica
Again, this is a knock off and yes I did not want to spend all that money on the real thing, and was I happy with my decision? YES!! I love it. It is a little bit drying but again applying some moisturiser or lip balm before applying this lipstick definitely helps!! I love the shade it’s sort of a dusty mauavey brown and pink mixed together!!
I am so excited to be sharing with you this blog post! Besides it being a Makeup Tutorial with not one makeup look but two, something I have never done; this is also a COLLAB with Deborah from Distorted Priorities.
She is a Maltese Blogger who posts about beauty, makeup and fashion! This is my first collaboration with someone who is Maltese like me!!
Here is a new Makeup Tutorial that is quite different to the looks I normally create!! So this is stepping out of my comfort zone. However, I think I am happy with it!
I love creating new looks!
The products I used –
