Blogmas Day 3 – My November Favourites

Hi everyone,

Hope you are having a great day!!!! Here is Day 3 of Blogmas!! So happy to be doing this again this year! Cannot believe, that this will be my third year of doing Blogmas!!

Also, the first vlogmas video will come out on Sunday because I will be doing vlogmas with weekly vlogs!!

Just a reminder that my first XMAS giveaway went up yesterday and you can participate right here (If you don’t have FB/Instagram please let me know and will see what we can do!!) – https://www.facebook.com/KezziesCorner/posts/1136505859850828

Today’s blogmas is all about my November Favourites! I’ll first mention my beauty favourites and then I will add 2 tv shows that I have loved watching during the month of November cos Kezia loves her TV!!  So here we go!!

#1 – L’Oréal Paris True Match Liquid Foundation

I loved using this whilst I was in Scotland and using it just reminded me of how much I love it. It’s so lightweight and has good coverage and it lasts all day! I in fact already have a backup once it’s finished. I also used to love the Infallible one and might reach for it again to see what I think about it as haven’t used it in a while!!

#2 – MUA Wonder Vanishing Cream Primer

I love this primer from MUA and I only rediscovered it when I had done the makeup tutorial using the Norvina Palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills. It just creates a nice fresh base for your makeup and it is perfect for people with sensitive skin!

#3 – Max Factor Brow Contouring Powder Kit

I love how this brow contouring kit is packaged and it is great for travel! I love using the first and second shade and I fix everything up with the last shade. They are pigmented and work very well. I personally do not use the brush that it comes with but I use my own eyebrow brush from Jessup! This fills in my brows perfectly!

#4 – Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette

Again, I fell in love with this again whilst in Scotland as that was the palette I decided to take with me. In this November favourites post I will be including a high end palette which is this one and a drugstore palette, just in case you are wondering! This palette has such a variety of shades yet I wish they included more matte shades but nonetheless the shimmer shades are gorgeous. And you can create several looks both for morning and evening with this palette!

#5 Makeup Revolution – I heart revolution – Cranberries and Chocolate Palette

When I am looking for a palette to create a berry look I am kind of reaching for this one! If you haven’t read my previous blogmas post, it’s all about this palette and my thoughts on it! But basically I love this palette and maybe just wish that the shimmer shades were more pigmented! But you can read more about what I thought of it right here – https://kezziescorner.com/2018/12/02/blogmas-day-2-cranberries-chocolate-palette-review

#6 – Rimmel Day 2 Night Mascara

I love that this mascara comes with 2 wants, one to lengthen and one to volumise! I love the lengthening one more because it honestly does lengthen my lashes and the brush is so light! I like the volumising one too, but I prefer working with the lengthening one more! But it has a cool concept to it and I always usually love Rimmel Mascaras and this one ain’t clumpy!!

#7 – Makeup Revolution – Soph X Highlighter Palette

I love this highlighter palette because number one it’s packaged so cutely and I love the peach shade of the packaging so much! And number two it comes with a variety of shades! I love the white pearl one and the gold ones too!! I just love mixing the above shades together to create such a popping of a highlight!!

#8 MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer in Dash

I love MUA Luxe liquid lipsticks, they were one of the first liquid lipsticks I ever owned! I love the shade Dash it’s one of my favourites from this formula and I rediscovered it in November, it’s such a pretty deep dark pink shade. Perfect for autumn if you ask me and to begin preparing for the christmas season and the red lip season!

Those were my beauty favourites, but here are my 2 favourite TV shows that I have been loving during the month of November!!

Charmed –

Ok so now that this story is back, I am in love with it. Yes these three new girls can never replace, Phoebe, Piper, Prue and Paige but it sure as hell is nice to see some badass witches back on TV. So far I am loving the story and no complaints here whatsoever!! I think my favourite character is Maggie. I just like how her power to understand people and that now she has decided to take up psychology as her major so can relate to her there! But I cannot wait to see how this story later on unfolds!!

God Friended Me

I legit watched the first 8 episodes whilst on the plane going and coming to Scotland haha! I just loved them so much and love the storyline behind it. This guy Miles has this podcast all about how he doesn’t believe in God and then God friends him on facebook. He starts sending him friend suggestions which ultimately mean that these people need help! But I just love how these suggestions fit perfectly together and I just love it and think that you guys should give it a try! I love Cara the character who Miles helps and then who joins on his mission to track who is behind this God account!

Well that’s all my November favourites and that’s a wrap for Blogmas Day 3! What were your beauty favourites for November or what shows did you enjoy watching last month? Let me know in the comments down below!! Also, thank you so much for reading and for supporting my blog, I really appreciate it!!

Testing out NEW MUA COSMETICS!!

Hi everyone,

Boy I haven’t written here in a while. I miss it so much. I should be posting a couple of blog posts in the coming week. . . So STAY TUNED!!

I hope you all had a lovely Easter! Mine was spent in London with my mum so yes expect a Primark Haul soon!

Today’s video is all about some NEW MUA products that recently came out. I bought them a while ago and managed to film a video for you guys. This was my First Impressions of the products as before having filmed this video I never tried them out! I created this look with copper pink eyes and rosey dark pink lips.

I noticed that MUA have recently came out with some other NEW products! I am so wanting to get my hands on them and am so disappointed that I didn’t notice them in Superdrug while on holiday!!

Here are the products mentioned in the video and also a little written summary of my after thoughts –

Face Products –

I love using this powder to set my overall foundation. Yes it is a little too powder-y but it does the job in setting all your face products and settling them down nicely. When taking pictures I find that my face doesn’t come looking as white as can be therefore there isn’t any flashback. I prefer however, using this only to set my under eye concealer rather than applying it all over my face.

Finally, this is a bargain as you get a lot of product for only £4!

This is the product I prefer to set my overall face products with rather than the fine loose setting powder. It doesn’t move my foundation all around and the blush, bronzer and highlight settle down nicely on this product. This is a great product and is very affordable at only £4!

I did not use this product on camera however I did use it after. Besides there only being half of the product in the tub it is an okay primer to start off your makeup look. It doesn’t make my skin red and helps in decreasing the look of my pores. It isn’t shiny as well!

However, again I did not like that the product came half empty and it was £5! I don’t think I would buy this product again!

  • MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighters –

I love these highlighters. I have others in my collection and would like to get the other new shades that they recently came out with as well (Peach Diamond, Ice Sparkle, Pearlescent Sheen) . They create a bright highlight across your cheekbone which can be seen a mile away. I love how they don’t emphasise any lines or pores on your skin but settle nicely on my face. I absolutely love these highlighters and they are also so affordable at £3 each!

From Left to Right – Rosewood Glimmer, Golden After Glow, Golden Scintillation

I showed the following shades in my video –
Golden After Glow  – literally a golden glimmer highlight!
Rosewood Glimmer – a rosey/pinky/pinkred, original highlight!
Golden Scintillation – a softer and lighter yellow golden glimmer highlight!

  • Illumination Highlight Kits

MUA also released two illumination Highlight Kits. The first I totally dig as even though the highlights are quite light they still come up as very natural on my skin. The second kit I think is for those who have darker skin tone as some shades are more like a contour, bronze and dusky rose shade rather then a highlight for us fair kinda gals. But I think they would look amazing on those who darker skin tones and want a natural looking highlight!

The shades are powders and matte and can be layered together to create an effortless highlight. These palettes however are a little bit pricey for £6 but you do get 6 different shades so I guess a £1 for each!

Eye Products –

IMG_8028

This eyeshadow palette was so difficult to work with. The shades are all shimmer-y and are so difficult to pat onto your eyelid. I used that one ember shade all over my eyelid and I do not know how many times I had to go back and forth and add more product for me to be completely happy with the end result.

In the end I did get a good enough look however, I would not buy this palette again. I loved using the palest of shades to highlight with but that’s it! I guess for the price being £3.50 you really don’t get much from this product.

Lip Products –

  • MUA Velvet Lip Lacquers –

You all know how much I love these velvet lip lacquers! They were the first matte liquid lipsticks I ever bought and applied onto my lips! I love them, some colours are misses but some are amazing! I will be doing a separate video showing you lip swatches of each of these shades .. so STAY TUNED for that!
