April 2017 Favourites – Skincare, Hair products & Makeup

Hi beauty lovers,

How are you all doing? Hope you are having a great start to the week!

IMG_8611

Yesterday, I released a BONUS video up on my channel and it was all about my April Favourites; ranging from hair products, skincare and makeup!

My April 2017 Favourites –

IMG_8622

Tangle Teezer

I love using this to untie my knots that seem to love my hair! I love using in this show before applying conditioner and before rinsing it off. This helps my hair in not getting too tangled after coming out of the shower!

TRESemme’ Salon Sleek Frizz Control Smooth Memory Spray

I love using this before straightening my hair and to keep my hair from frizzing after having had a shower!

IMG_8618

Arad Facial Cleansing Milk

This has been my favourite product to use to remove my makeup! It literally takes off any makeup you could possibly use! It is so soft and gentle on the skin. You can click here to read an entire blog post all about this product!

Arad Mineral Facial Scrub

I have been using this in conjunction with my Vichy cleanser and have loved the combination. It really has helped my pores decrease in size and helped keep my face cleansed and clean. You can click here to read an entire blog post all about this product!

NYX Angel Veil Skin Perfecting Primer

IMG_8638

I have been using this primer constantly this month – as in April! It helps keep my makeup last longer and also helps create a nice base before applying other makeup products! It also helps decrease the look of pores!

L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Foundation

IMG_8623

I have been wanting to buy this foundation for a while now and now having tried it I can say it was worth the wait and the money! I would say this a medium to full coverage – very buildable! I love how it sits on the skin – not cakey whatsoever!

Collection  Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer

IMG_8639

For the price it is amazing! One of my favourite concealers to highlight the bridge of my nose, my cupid’s bow and chin! And also to conceal under my eyes. It doesn’t crease and lasts all day!

Wycon Prime and Fine Powder

IMG_8640

This sets my foundation and concealer nicely. It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin and the shade is perfect and blends well!

Milani Baked blush in Berry Amore

I love this blush – it’s like a mix of orange, pink and gold altogether! It has tiny glitter speckles which adds to the intensity and glimmer of this blush! I also love the packaging of the baked blushes by Milani!

Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer

I have been wanting this product ever since I saw Kathleen Lights rave about it so many times! I ordered mine off ebay! I forgot to say in the video that it has an intense summer smell that makes you excited for beach and summer days. It just creates a natural and bronzed look. It is very light weight and not that intense – my favourite!

Sleek Precious Metals Highlight Palette

The packaging is gorgeous and the highlights are amazing! My favourite shade is Antique Bronze which is a lovely gold cream highlight. Perfect for not pointing out your pores more as a powder highlight would!

Max Factor Natural Brow Styler

IMG_8636

I love this as it settles and tames my brows in place. It keeps them intact all throughout the day and dries clearly.

IMG_8634

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara

This mascara has been an old favourite of mine. It just separates and lengthens my lashes nicely. It also doesn’t transfer on eyelids.

Essence Lash Princess Volume Mascara

Yes if you are doing a physical activity and you are wearing this – it may transfer on your eyelids. But it just lengthens and volumises the lashes ever so nicely!

Essence The Cushion Eyeliner

I had never used a cushion eyeliner before and let me just say this small pot really impressed me! It just creates a lovely intense black line!

Essence The Eyeliner Waterproof Pen

You can create a thick or bold line with this waterproof pen. It doesn’t move either! It is not patchy whatsoever although, as the day goes by it does become patchy and you might want to retouch it.

BH Cosmetics Illuminate by Ashley Tisdale- Beach Goddess Palette –

IMG_8616

This palette is just too cute. I love the shades they are all so natural and you can create different looks. My favourite shades from this palette are Fiji – a cream shade , Maui – a copper shade and St. Lucia – a bronze shade. The eyeshadows are also so pigmented and blend nicely together.

MUA Velvet Lip Lacquer – Sizzle

You know that I love these lipsticks! I also includes this shade in my Favourite Spring Lipsticks video and couldn’t resist but to include this in my April Favourites too! I love this shade – it is a beautiful orange/red shade! This one isn’t patchy whatsoever!

Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip – Point Zero

I know that this doesn’t look like a spring shade but I loved wearing it this month and found myself reaching it for it more than I thought I would. The wand isn’t my favourite, but once applied I love the shade on my lips. It is like a brown/nude shade and has a bit of a satin shimmer finish. This was one of the collaborations Kathleen Lights did with Colourpop.

Favourite TV Show – 13 Reasons Why

Oh my god – if you haven’t seen this you really should! It is a Netflix TV Show made up of 13 episodes – 13 reasons why Hannah did what she did! It is a different story from what you normally see but worth watching because these things actually do happen and we need to have our eyes opened more!

Favourite Movie – Beauty and the Beast

This is such a cute movie. I normally do not like movies which have songs in them like musicals do. But I didn’t mind the songs in this movie! The costumes and the hair was amazing and I love the little cutlery dancing around the objects being animate. Watching this movie also brought back childhood memories of when I used to see the cartoon movie on tape!

What were your favourites of April 2017? Have you tried any of the above products?

Thank you so much for reading!

Favourite Spring Lipsticks 2017

Hi lip lovers,

As you may know I am crazy about lip products! So if you have been following my Youtube channel and blog for a while you would know that I always do my favourite seasonal lipsticks!

And as Spring has just rolled in I had to do my Favourite Spring Lipsticks. However, this video was a collab with Daisy Taveras. You should really visit and support her channel as she does amazing makeup videos!!

My top 10 lipstick picks for this season are –

MAC Amplified Lipstick – Fast Play

IMG_8207fast play 1

I love this as it has such a lovely pink and creamy finish! Perfect lipstick for an everyday Spring Makeup Look!
Sleek Matte Me Ultra Smooth Matte Lip Cream – Birthday Suit

IMG_8215birthday suit 1

This is such a gorgeous pink shade! I absolutely love this and the formula from Sleek!
Max Factor Velvet Matte Lipstick – Blush

IMG_8206blush 1

This is such a gorgeous fun pink to wear. It isn’t light or bright but just in between! I love the formula of these lipsticks too – they are so moisturising!
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream – Prague

IMG_8210prague 1

I love the Soft Matte Lip Cream’s from NYX! And this is quite similar to the shade Blush from before. However, this shade is more matte than the other and it is slightly darker!
Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Lipstick – Summer Lovin’

IMG_8211summer lovin' 1

This is an out there kinda’ pink!!! Something that is bold and fun to wear! Reminds me of Nicki Minaj! Nonetheless, you can rock this on a night out makeup look.
(EBAY DUPE) Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick – Double Date

IMG_8212double date

Even though this is a dupe it is still a pretty shade. I had to reapply it a couple of times to get the finished look. But then it settles nicely on the lips!
Essence Matt Matt Matt Longlasting Lipgloss – Shade 5

IMG_8213shade 5 1

This is such a gorgeous pinky red! I love the way it settles on the lips and it isn’t all that matte but has a slight sheen to it.
Milani Amore Matte Lip Cream – Amore

IMG_8214amore 1

I love the scent of these formula lipsticks! This pink red shade is just GORGEOUS! Wear some eyeliner and mascara and add this, and you’re good to go!
MUA Velvet Lip Lacquer – Sizzle

IMG_8216sizzle 1

This is a lovely burnt orange shade. I guess orange is a more autumnal colour however I like this for spring as it isn’t dark!
Golden Rose Liquid Lipstick – Shade 8

IMG_8208shade 8 1

This again is a lovely pink shade – very fun and bright!

What is your favourite spring shade? Comment down below !!

Testing Out/ First Impressions on NEW Max Factor Makeup Products

Hi everyone!

Hope you are all doing well. Today’s blog post is all about 3 new Max Factor Makeup Products.

IMG_8170

Here is my video showing you all how the products actually apply –

The three products I tried were –

Max Factor Natural Brow Gel

IMG_8186

This transparent brow gel comes with a twisted wire brush which helps to spread out the gel all over your brow hairs. You could either use it on its own or else apply it after having filled in your brows with a powder or an eyebrow pencil. Personally I prefer using it after having filled in my brows in order to get more of a natural looking brow.

IMG_8172

The gel is shiny at first however, then it just dries down and settles nicely on your brows. I find that it helps to my hairs in place and it helps keep them tidy and tamed! I also apply this first in my inner brows and then moving it to the outer parts!

Max Factor 2000 Calorie Curl Addict Mascara

IMG_8176

The packaging of this mascara is so cool and retro! The brush of this mascara is a short curved brush with dense fibre bristles which helps them to get in between all of your lashes!

I love this mascara because you don’t need to curl your lashes beforehand with a lash curler, the mascara does the job itself. I find that it can be messy, so apply it with a steady hand and just in case keep a cue tip next to you to help clean out any mistakes that you might have done.

IMG_8190

This mascara lasts throughout the day and keeps your lashes long and curled! It is not tacky and clumpy.

Max Factor Velvet Matte Lipstick – Shade Blush

IMG_8180

Max Factor have released a new lipstick formula, that is the Velvet Matte Lipstick. There is a slight scent to the lipstick however, it isn’t that clear. The packaging is so sleek and compact!

IMG_8184 2

The shade I got mine in was Blush and it is a rosey pink shade perfect for Spring! The formula is simply amazing as it is quite moisturising having oils and butters that makes it rich in moisture. It is easily applied onto the lips and glides smoothly. It isn’t patchy at all and it just looks amazing on the lips.

IMG_8061 2

There is a slight shine on it however, it gradually decreases. It is also quite long lasting however, you do need to have it in your bag if you are going to go out to eat to touch it up a little.

Have you tried any of these products?

Did you like my review?

What is your favourite Max Factor product?

Mine has to be the Velvet Matte Lipstick!

December Makeup Favourites

Hi everyone,

So December is over and I am not going to repeat how quick it passed and how we cannot believe its 2017 already, as I am sure that I am not the only one who is aware of this!

I have loved so many products and have tried out so many new ones too.

img_6936

But the products I shall be mentioning are all products I have used throughout the month of December, ones that I love.

These are all makeup products.

Would you like to see a non makeup related blog post? Let me know in the comments down below!

My December 2016 Favourites are –

The Beauty Treats Roses Eyeshadow Palette

img_6924

I received this palette in a Sweet Sparkle Box. I didn’t think I would still use this palette however I have and did!

img_6925

The shades are all so pretty and from the photo you could see which are my favourite! I love that dusty pink/red it is gorgeous especially loved using it during the Christmas Season! The shadows all blend well and even though there is fall out it is something I can deal with!

ELF Blush – Tickled Pink

This is a fave oldie I have had for years! I love this blush, it is so subtle and natural. I love adding it to an all natural makeup look, you know to just add colour to the face. I miss ordering from elf, it was such a good and reasonable brand. I really must check again to see if the shipping rates have lowered, but last time I checked they were sky high!

Max Factor Smooth Miracle Primer

img_6914

I love this Primer, I don’t really understand primers sometimes, but I can see that this does something! It really helps minimise my pores, reduces shine and creates a lovely base for my foundation and the rest of my makeup look!

Max Factor Miracle Match Blur & Nourish Foundation

IMG_6917.JPG

This goes hands in hands with the primer. I have tried the primer with other foundations, however I never tried this foundation with other primers. The primer as I said really sets a nice base, and the foundation settles so well with it. I love the coverage that it has, it also lasts long and yes there is some shine after a few hours, but nothing a little powder can even it out!

Rimmel London Clear Complexion Transparent Powder

img_6918

This is a monthly favourite. I used to love the Rimmel London stay matte powder however I now switched to this one. I feel this is less heavier and more gentle on the skin. I love setting my under eyes and eyelids as well with this powder. And who wouldn’t love it for its inexpensive price!

Essence Get Big Lashes Volume Curl Mascara

img_6919

This is an oldie too and I absolutely love it. The wand is just good enough to hit all them lashes! It doesn’t transfer on the lid and creates such nice volumed lashes!

City Color Highlight Trio Palette

img_6920

This highlight palette I have found myself to levitate to a lot recently. I also got this from my Sweet Sparkle box! So yes thanks to the Sweet Sparkle box I have found new items that I adore!

img_6921

As you can see from the photo I LOVE those 2 lightest shades, I like mixing them in together to create that natural highlight glow!

Milani Matte Lipstick in Naked

img_6929

I have been loving this lipstick for work, for running errands, going to appointments; basically for an everyday makeup look that is natural and quick! This just gives the right amount of pink shade to my lip. The formula is all matte and lasts for a while too. Yes of course you will need to reapply it after eating as it does brush off.

Essence XXXL Longlasting Velvet Matte Lipgloss in Silky Red

img_6926

This is such a cute lipstick. I actually got this at the Essence event I attended with my friend Christabel and she actually got two of these. She was so nice as to give me one and I thank her for that! The formula of this lipstick is so nice and creamy. Yes you need to reapply it constantly throughout the day as it is not long lasting however it gives the loveliest of shades. That pinky red! Also it smells like a vanilla cupcake!

Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in Point Zero

img_6927

This was one of the lipsticks Kathleen Lights made! I love this it is such a lovely dusty brown perfect for autumn/winter. I guess if you are used to pinks everyday, this would be different. The formula of the satin lips is amazing and lasts long too!

So those were my December favourites, what were yours?

Thank you so much for reading!!
