Sweet Sparkle – January Unboxing – Hello Beautiful

Hi everyone,

I decided that for the Sweet Sparkle January box I shall just simply do a blog post all about the products. It will also include photos I took of using the products on a makeup look that I created!

If you would like more information about Sweet Sparkle then visit their website – www.sweetsparkle.com

img_7564

Every month Sweet Sparkle choose products according to a theme. January’s theme was called Simply Beautiful. It basically revolved around beauty that is kept natural. In fact we didn’t get an eyeshadow palette as we usually do; instead we got a single pigmented shadow – which I can just say is just lovely and simple yet gives the right amount of colour to your lids!

I also liked that this month’s card came with the list of products we received plus how much they costed and a little description about them! I hope that this will be done in future boxes!

img_7546

The products we received were –

Kokie High Brow Angled Eyebrow Pencil in Blonde

img_7550

For the first time ever we received a BROW product! And I really love this pencil as it is angled so it helps you attain the eyebrow look that you might want.

I am still brushing up on my eyebrow skills but I think I am getting better. I love the bigger brows (kind of like Cara Delevingne’s!) I found that with this pencil I managed to create what I wanted to!

This retails for $10!

Nicka K Contour Kit

Now this palette confused me as there were three shades. I know that the one on the left is a contour shade whilst the one on the right is the highlight shade. But then what is the one in the middle? I used that shade as a sort of blush to give my cheeks some natural colour!

16357477_10210411049045197_133079548_o

I actually liked the contour shade, it is different to other contour powders I have used as this one is sort of an ashy brown! But it blended well same as the other 2 powders. They all gave more depth to my face!

This retails for  $3.99 – this is quite a bargain as the quality is quite good!

Bella Pierre Shimmer Powder – Beige

img_7559

This was such a cute pigment to get. I found it set well on my eye lid and did not move in any sort. It also blended well and you could easily create an eye look with just this shade!

With my eye look besides using this powder I also used the highlight shade from the Nicka K Contour Kit!

(A photo of the eye look I created is below with the Hikari Mascara)

The Bella Pierre shimmer powder retails for $15!

Hikari MascaraJet

I did not quite like this mascara as it left my lashes all clumpy and did not separate them well. It also did not curl them if you know what I mean so I would not recommend this Mascara.

16325991_10210411049805216_251284855_o

This retails for $15

J.Cat Beauty Wholly Addiction Lip Liner – Acorn

img_7555

I absolutely loved both lip products in this box! The lip liner is such a nice mauve-y shade I love it. It also was not drying on my lips! I applied it all over my lips.

16388967_10210411041004996_150293639_o

This retails for $2.99 – I highly recommend these lip liners!

Cailyn Art Touch Tinted Gloss Stick – Love Stamp

img_7552

I am trying to wear more lip glosses and I love having this in my collection.

The shade goes perfectly with the lip liner – it is like a dark pink glossy shade. It also isn’t that sticky!

16326483_10210411050125224_968513002_o

This retails for $19.

The total price of the box therefore was – $65.98 – this is amazing as I only paid $24 for the box!

So this month’s was definitely a good splurge!

Have you ever tried any of these products?

Happy weekend!

December Makeup Favourites

Hi everyone,

So December is over and I am not going to repeat how quick it passed and how we cannot believe its 2017 already, as I am sure that I am not the only one who is aware of this!

I have loved so many products and have tried out so many new ones too.

img_6936

But the products I shall be mentioning are all products I have used throughout the month of December, ones that I love.

These are all makeup products.

Would you like to see a non makeup related blog post? Let me know in the comments down below!

My December 2016 Favourites are –

The Beauty Treats Roses Eyeshadow Palette

img_6924

I received this palette in a Sweet Sparkle Box. I didn’t think I would still use this palette however I have and did!

img_6925

The shades are all so pretty and from the photo you could see which are my favourite! I love that dusty pink/red it is gorgeous especially loved using it during the Christmas Season! The shadows all blend well and even though there is fall out it is something I can deal with!

ELF Blush – Tickled Pink

This is a fave oldie I have had for years! I love this blush, it is so subtle and natural. I love adding it to an all natural makeup look, you know to just add colour to the face. I miss ordering from elf, it was such a good and reasonable brand. I really must check again to see if the shipping rates have lowered, but last time I checked they were sky high!

Max Factor Smooth Miracle Primer

img_6914

I love this Primer, I don’t really understand primers sometimes, but I can see that this does something! It really helps minimise my pores, reduces shine and creates a lovely base for my foundation and the rest of my makeup look!

Max Factor Miracle Match Blur & Nourish Foundation

IMG_6917.JPG

This goes hands in hands with the primer. I have tried the primer with other foundations, however I never tried this foundation with other primers. The primer as I said really sets a nice base, and the foundation settles so well with it. I love the coverage that it has, it also lasts long and yes there is some shine after a few hours, but nothing a little powder can even it out!

Rimmel London Clear Complexion Transparent Powder

img_6918

This is a monthly favourite. I used to love the Rimmel London stay matte powder however I now switched to this one. I feel this is less heavier and more gentle on the skin. I love setting my under eyes and eyelids as well with this powder. And who wouldn’t love it for its inexpensive price!

Essence Get Big Lashes Volume Curl Mascara

img_6919

This is an oldie too and I absolutely love it. The wand is just good enough to hit all them lashes! It doesn’t transfer on the lid and creates such nice volumed lashes!

City Color Highlight Trio Palette

img_6920

This highlight palette I have found myself to levitate to a lot recently. I also got this from my Sweet Sparkle box! So yes thanks to the Sweet Sparkle box I have found new items that I adore!

img_6921

As you can see from the photo I LOVE those 2 lightest shades, I like mixing them in together to create that natural highlight glow!

Milani Matte Lipstick in Naked

img_6929

I have been loving this lipstick for work, for running errands, going to appointments; basically for an everyday makeup look that is natural and quick! This just gives the right amount of pink shade to my lip. The formula is all matte and lasts for a while too. Yes of course you will need to reapply it after eating as it does brush off.

Essence XXXL Longlasting Velvet Matte Lipgloss in Silky Red

img_6926

This is such a cute lipstick. I actually got this at the Essence event I attended with my friend Christabel and she actually got two of these. She was so nice as to give me one and I thank her for that! The formula of this lipstick is so nice and creamy. Yes you need to reapply it constantly throughout the day as it is not long lasting however it gives the loveliest of shades. That pinky red! Also it smells like a vanilla cupcake!

Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in Point Zero

img_6927

This was one of the lipsticks Kathleen Lights made! I love this it is such a lovely dusty brown perfect for autumn/winter. I guess if you are used to pinks everyday, this would be different. The formula of the satin lips is amazing and lasts long too!

So those were my December favourites, what were yours?

Thank you so much for reading!!

Arad Dead Sea Malta – Facial Mud Mask – Review

Hi everyone,

A week ago, I wrote up my first review on a product by the brand – ARAD. You can go check out a Maltese Facebook Page all about them by visiting Arad Dead Sea Malta. They have a variety of products!

In my previous post I introduced the brand Arad and gave a summary of what the brand offers, what ingredients are used and why are these ingredients beneficial towards our skin.

If you would like you can view this first post right here –

Arad Dead Sea Malta – The Facial Cleansing Milk Review

(I also gave a review of a product that I am still loving – the Facial Cleansing Milk – Makeup Remover )

Today’s post is another face product that I have tried around 3 times to be exact. And that is the Arad Facial Mud Mask.

images-9

The product states that the mud mask absorbs any excess oils and removes any dead cells and saborea that you might have on your skin.

It also unblocks clogged pores to allow all toxins and bacteria to find their way out.

images-10

It should also stimulate the skin cells to drink the natural rich humectants it offers; and contains calming plant extracts such as Chamomile and Aloe Vera and it is lightly scented.

My thoughts –

(Excuse the Jammies but like I said I apply this in the MORNING!)

I apply this mud mask 2 times a week. It states on the tube that for oily skin you can use it 2 to 3 times a week; whilst for normal to combination skin you can use it 2 to 3 times a month. So before using it make sure you don’t over-use the product!

I first cleanse my face and then I dry my face using my face cloth. Then I would simply apply the mud mask all over my face and leave it for 15 minutes. (On the tube it says to leave it for 7-15 minutes but I like leaving it for the whole 15 minutes so whatever the mud mask needs to absorb it does so!)

I then rinse with lukewarm water and I will follow it up with my moisturiser and my normal face routine. I like applying this in the morning and it does help me wake up more refreshed and prepped for the day!

It doesn’t have a harsh smell, which is good but the best thing I find about this mud mask is that it isn’t messy at all! I sometimes find that with some face masks when rinsing them off, I won’t rinse them properly and I end up with a dirty and muddy face cloth to wash! However, with this one it is not the case.

I find my skin to be so soft after and I notice that my pores (I don’t know if this is a good thing) but they do show more. But I guess that means the face mask is doing its job by cleaning those little buggers out.

I do find my skin to be cleaner by using these products and shall be trying out a new product this week. Therefore, stay tuned for more reviews on Arad products soon!

Have you ever tried any of these Arad products? If not, are you intrigued to do so?

Thank you so much for reading!

Blogmas Day 1 – A little Tardy !! Try on Haul – New Look, Bershka & H&M

Hi everyone,

Ok so as you can see from the title I shall be starting Blogmas. However, day one was already a fail!!

Yesterday I woke up with a bad stomach virus and now I also have temperature – so yes I started December off with a sicky feeling!

But alas, I shall not let this affect me from doing BLOGMAS! I did it last year and really enjoyed it. So I decided on doing it this year.

Now since today is already the 2nd December I have decided that I will run Blogmas as so – I will write the Blogmas day one on the 2nd December, and then I will write Blogmas Day 2 on the 3rd December … if you get what I mean. If I see this is too confusing I will just put two days together and then I will be fully compensated and would have caught up with the days.

Now enough blabbing !! Let’s get on with the post!!

On Tuesday I went to our ‘Tal-Lira Jumbo Store‘ – Tal-Lira means one pound – so it can be compared to America’s The Dollar Tree or the UK’s One Pound Shop.

I bought several Christmas decorations like a Christmas Tree – very tine one – some more fairy lights, a hohoho decoration, some reindeer ears and another reindeer ornament. I am still placing them in my room and decorating. So once that is all done I will post some photos!

Traditionally our family used to decorate every year on the 8th December but since the years have passed decorating the house seems to have lost its priority. So now I usually do it for myself in my room. I guess it is a little saddening as being in a house not decorated for Christmas really doesn’t set you in the Christmas spirit. But who knows maybe this year will be different!

Anyways, have you decorated for Christmas?

What is you favourite decoration?

Comment down below !!

I also would like to add that on Wednesday I put up a new video – my Try on Haul from things I bought from New Look, Bershka and H&M.

They are things I bought from when I went to London in September. And three months later I have done hauls on almost everything that I bought whilst I was there – Accomplishment right there!!

So if you would like to see it you can go ahead I will be linking it right here –

Thank you so much for reading!

Hope you all have a lovely day & weekend!!

Love Kezia
