Testing out some new products! Are they worth the hype? ft. Anastasia Beverly Hills, Makeup Revolution, Mario Badescu

Hi everyone,

How are you all doing? It’s Friday which means a new Blog post must be uploaded! And I truly love writing blog posts as much as I love creating videos! When writing up blog posts my room’s atmosphere is different, with my fairy lights on and music playing!

Anyways, moving on! This week I only managed to write up one blog post, but if you wish to see more than one blog post per week, do let me know in the comments down below!

Before I start I would like to say THANK YOU to everyone who has subscribed to my channel! I reached 3k subscribers!! I am simply still over whelmed and so happy !! Thank you for joining my little corner! There’s 3000 of us! And a bit more now too!

Today’s post is all about a Makeup Tutorial that featured lots of new products that I never tried out before! Be sure to be subscribed to my Youtube Channel!!

So in the video I did not really review the products, I simply just said how I used them. But I wanted to come here and talk about some NEW products that I tried out whilst filming this makeup tutorial!

The finished makeup look

The Products I used in this makeup tutorial were –

(The ones in Bold are the ones that I will be talking about in this blog post, as they are the new products that I had never tried out before filming this video!)

  • Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe Herbs and Rosewater
  • Makeup Revolution Foundation Stick in F4
  • Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Full Coverage Conceal and Contour Concealer
  • Primark Beauty PS … Insta Girl Rice Powder
  • Catrice Brow Palette – Matt & Glow – First I applied the wax and then the powder shade
  • Max Factor Brow Gel
  • Maybelline Fit me Matte and Poreless Pressed Powder shade 120 Classic Ivory
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette
    • Shades used: Orange Soda, Burnt Orange, Mulberry, Fairy, Rose Pink, Tempera for the inner corner and brow bone highlight
  • Essence Super Precise Eyeliner
  • Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara
  • GWA Fantasy lashes – I bought these from Primark!!
  • DUO Lash Glue
  • Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer
  • Technic Colour Fix Blush Palette
  • Makeup Revolution Liquid Highlighter – Liquid Starlight
  • Golden Rose Longstay Liquid Matte Lipstick – Shade 20
  • Colourpop – Ultra Glossy Lip in Moon Child – Collab with Kathleen Lights

Now here are the new products I tried out and a mini review (plus there’s a link to where you can get the items if you click their titles!)

#1 Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe Herbs and Rosewater

IMG_4242

This facial spray has become a staple in my everyday makeup routine. I love the smell of it and I love how it sprays. Although, to be honest the first time I sprayed it I was not impressed as not much product was coming out. But then I don’t know how the pump readjusted itself or something because more products sprayed out and I just love how it makes my skin feel.

I love applying it before and after applying makeup. I find that it helps my makeup last longer. But in this makeup tutorial that I filmed I wished I had applied a primer that helps in reducing pores as I only sprayed this as my ‘primer’ and it kind of did nothing to my pores which is obvious because it does not state that it should. So yes, a gentle reminder to apply a primer nonetheless after spraying this all over your face before applying makeup!

#2 Makeup Revolution Foundation Stick

IMG_4216

So yes Makeup Revolution have released their foundation sticks and they are only £5 each!! I mean you do not get much product but honestly, it is so worth it! It conceals so much, like all my redness was gone and spots were hidden without the need to apply concealer!!

But it really increases the appearance of my pores, so it is very important to apply a pore minimizing primer when using this foundation! Also, this foundation stick comes in 18 different shades! That’s just amazing!!

#3 Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Full Coverage Conceal and Contour Concealer

IMG_4218

Makeup Revolution also released their amazing, jaw dropping concealers before the foundation sticks! In the makeup tutorial I used C4 but now I also bought the C2 because I wanted it a bit lighter for my under eye concealer.

Again, the concealer comes in 18 different shades and it’s just £4! I mean you can’t go wrong! I love the applicator of this concealer, it’s similar to the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer but the Makeup Revolution one I would say creases more.

#4 Maybelline Fit me Matte and Poreless Pressed Powder

IMG_4239

I got mine in the shade 120 Classic Ivory and to be honest I thought I would be more impressed. I love the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder, I have been using that to set my face for so long now and I wanted a change! But I thought this powder from Maybelline would decrease my pores a little more than it does! After filming this makeup tutorial, I did use it again and again this powder and yes having a pore minimizing primer helped, but I just thought that this powder would have a stronger effect than it actually gives out.

I guess I had high hopes for it but alas. I still love the product and have been using it on my everyday makeup looks. If you follow me on Instagram I post daily on my Insta Stories showing you guys what products I use for my everyday makeup looks! And I have been featuring this powder in my insta stories …. I just hoped it performed better!

#5 Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette

IMG_4191

This palette is just …. one word …. STUNNING. Ok two words – GORGEOUS. The colour scheme is great because you have everyday wearable shades but you also have a dark red and black for smokey eyes! I just love this palette and compared to Subculture and Prism, this one is way better and right down my alley!

IMG_4196

IMG_4202

The powders aren’t that powdery although I recommend you do your eye makeup first if you want to avoid fall out! But they blend really well, the shimmer shades also apply nicely. I applied Fairy and Rose Pink with a damp brush, sprayed with the Mario Badescu setting spray to intensify their look and I think it worked out great! They lasted all day and I just love how the look turned out! Definitely will be reaching for this palette while I am here in Scotland!

#6 GWA Fantasy lashes + DUO Lash Glue (I bought mine from Primark)

IMG_4236

OH MY GOODNESS! I swear I was so shocked! Shocked! These applied just PERFECTLY, EFFORTLESSLY!!! Like OMG! And the glue must have been good too! I bought both these products from Primark and am in love!!! BUT I cannot find Fantasy lashes from Primark!! I only find the Glamour and Natural ones but not the Fantasy ones!! Must find them because they are worth the £3!

I love the look the lashes gave! Imogen recommended these lashes over on youtube. I have been following her youtube channel since she first started her channel over a year ago and she has come a long way! In fact, she is sort of my inspiration! I love the way she creates content, and even though she is becoming big on Youtube she still takes the time to reply to her followers and she is just a nice person over all! If you didn’t know about Imogen also known as Imogenation over at youtube, then get to know!!

And that’s the end of this blog post! Do you use any of the products I mentioned? Is one or more your favourite products to use? Let me know in the comments down below! I also hope you liked the makeup look I created !! Let me know in the comments down below too!

See you all next week! And thank you so much for reading!

Valentine’s is just another day however, we could show more love to somebody we care about, more on this day than any other. You could think about the past year and just feel so thankful and grateful to this/those person/s who has/have only shown you love and happiness and helped you with any difficulties that you faced throughout the year. Anyways that’s what I do, either way I hope you all have a lovely Valentine’s Day and be sure to spend it around people who love you and care about you!

The products I used in this tutorial were –

Blogmas Day 18 🎅🏻☃️🎄 – Christmas Makeup Looks over 3 years!!

Hi everyone!!

I apologise, however I had to miss a couple days of blogmas!! I hope that the final week of Blogmas I will be all caught up … fingers crossed.

I am back in Malta and just had my final week in Stirling that passed super quickly. I enjoyed going to Glasgow and Edinburgh, I might do a little blog post about that !!

But now I am back home, back in me room on my bed, I just love it!!

Today’s blog post is all about the three makeup looks for Christmas that I have done on my Youtube Channel for the past three years!!

I cannot believe that I have kept on uploading weekly on my channel  – so happy wit h that – and I have over 2k subscribers! I am truly grateful to everyone who has subscribed to my channel!

Anyways I just wanted to put together a blog post with all the three christmas makeup look videos. I never really took any makeup classes and only learnt everything from youtubers like Kathleen Lights, Zoella, Carli Bybel, Shaaanxo and recently Imogenation. So yeah, thanks to youtubers I have gotten some makeup skills over the years and I also love trying out new looks and I especially did so in this year’s Christmas Makeup look (I think).

Anyways here are the makeup looks in the three years – including this year’s – I would love to know which one was your favourite?

2015:

2016:

2017:

One thing did remain constant …. the red lip!! I don’t know how many red lipsticks I bought over this month in a red shade … I am obsessed!

Thank you so much for reading!

Cut Crease Makeup Tutorial ft. SOPH X Makeup Revolution

Hi everyone,

I am currently in Malta for a little trip but on Sunday will fly back to Stirling. But I couldn’t miss my weekly blog post! And like I wrote, this week you got two blog posts and not just one!

So here is the second one of the week!

Screen Shot 2017-11-17 at 15.54.48

It is all about a Cut Crease Makeup Tutorial using Soph X Makeup Revolution’s Eyeshadow and Highlighter Palette.

IMG_2441

I love both products. The eyeshadow palette has a variety of colour choices and you can create so many looks out of it! It is only £10! That is such a great price! The packaging is so cute too however, the open it, it is such a hassle!!

IMG_2443

The shadows applies well, there is some fall out so if you prefer to not do your foundation before your eye makeup then do so! But I honestly don’t mind and you can brush off the fall out and just re apply some concealer. The shadows blend well and are so pigmented.  I used the shade fairy lights which is a shimmer shade all over my lid, and I dampened my brush to up the effect of that shadow and it worked out great!

IMG_2447

IMG_2451

I also loved the highlighter palette that comes with a variety of highlight shades. They are so pigmented and you should definitely mix and match to brighten up that highlight!! The highlighter palette is £8. All in all I really loved using both palettes and think that they are worth the buy!!

Here is the makeup tutorial –

Here are the products I used in the makeup tutorial on the video!

IMG_2461.JPG

  • Essence Colour Correcting Liquid Concealer in Green
  • Benefit Porefessional Primer
  • Benefit Porefessional Pore Minimizing makeup

  • Tarte Shape Tape Concealer in Fair Neutral
  • Makeup Revolution Luxury Powder – Banana
  • Catrice Matt & Glow Powder & Wax

Screen Shot 2017-11-17 at 15.54.58

I hope you enjoyed the makeup look. I really enjoyed creating it. It was my first cut crease attempt, I hope to get better.

Thank you so much for reading!!

Glasses Makeup Tutorial ft. Firmoo – Buy one and get one for FREE

Hi everyone,

How are you all doing? Here is a Glasses makeup look. Lots of you may be starting school soon or have already started. And some of you wear glasses on daily basis or like me have to wear your glasses for computers/long distances/driving.

IMG_0296

Here is a simple makeup look which will still make your eyes pop even though they are behind a pair of glasses. This is also in collaboration with Firmoo.

IMG_0441

Firmoo is a website that sells a variety of both vision glasses and sun glasses.
If you would like your own prescription glasses you can order them off this website. You can either enter the details of your prescribed lenses or photocopy your prescription and then let Firmoo do the rest. I feel that this website is a better option from ordering a pair of sight glasses locally. I find that you save money and the glasses are still of good quality!

IMG_0425
The glasses I ordered – you can get them right here –https://www.firmoo.com/eyeglasses-p-4848.html

They ship fast and you get a pocket for free! I think it really is worth it. The customer care service is amazing, therefore if you require any help simply email them and they will reply immediately!!

I also bought two pairs for me mum and I used the Buy one and get one free offer so I only paid for one then!
Basically you can get the Buy one pair and get one pair for FREE from http://bit.ly/bogofirmooglasses By clicking on this link, you can get your very own coupon code and with this code you can get two pairs from Firmoo for the price of one.
Therefore, you are entitled to one pair of glasses for FREE! This includes the frame and standard lenses.

IMG_0431

But these glasses that I am showing you in the video were kindly sent to me by Firmoo, so thank you so much Firmoo!!

Previous videos and blog posts about Firmoo Glasses  –

In this makeup look I also got to use some of my newer makeup from my collection!

IMG_0448

You can watch the entire video on this glasses makeup tutorial right here –

Products mentioned for the Glasses Makeup Tutorial –

NYX Angel Veil Primer
NYX HD Foundation – applied with my beauty blender
Maybelline FIT ME concealer
MUA Ultra Fine Loose Setting Powder
RIMMEL Stay Matte Pressed Powder – Silky Beige – Applied with my REAL TECHNIQUES Powder Brush

IMG_0464
You can get this product right here – http://www.beautybay.com/cosmetics/milani/stayputbrowcolour/ – retails for €11.30

Milani Stay Put Brow Colour – one of my new products – I love this brow product and the brush that came with it. It made filling my brows so easy and straightforward! Loved the finished look it left me with.
Max Factor Natural Brow Gel

IMG_0453
You can get this palette right here –https://www.muastore.co.uk/mua-pro-eyeshadow-fire-vixen – Retails for £5

IMG_0455
MUA 15 Shade Palette – Fire Vixen – one of my new products – I love this palette, I think the shade selection is perfect! The shadows are slightly powder-y but I don’t hate that about this palette. They blend ever so nicely and they are the same shade as what is represented in the palette. It is so cheap and affordable from MUA and you get a whole palette with 15 shades! Total bargain!!
Shades used –
Shade 3 – in my crease – applied with an EBAY Blending Brush
Shade 13 – on my counter of my crease – applied with same brush
Shade 8 – placed on my lid – Ebay Flat brush
Shade 1 – inner corner and under my brow bone – ebay pointed brush
Milani Eye Tech Extreme Liquid liner

L’Oreal miss Baby Roll Mega Volume Waterproof Mascara

IMG_0457

You can get this mascara from http://eu.feelunique.com/p/LOreal-Paris-Miss-Baby-Roll-Mascara-91ml – retails for €9.59

IMG_0460
MUA Bronze & Sculpt Contour Kit – applied with my Milani Powder Brush

IMG_0461
Peach Diamond – You can buy this product right here – https://www.muastore.co.uk/undress-your-skin-highlighting-powder-peach-diamond – retails for £3

IMG_0463

MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighter – peach Diamond applied with Ebay Highlighter brush – a new product and I loved it. It isn’t a very pigmented highlight even though when you swatch it on your hands it appears to be. But when applied to my cheek bone it doesn’t transfer that much. But I love the slight sheen that it gives me, it is just enough for me. It is a little chalky but it doesn’t appear like that on the skin, so don’t be alarmed that when you swatch it on your hands it will be appear to be so but it isn’t!

Lipsticks mentioned –

IMG_0473
Shade 4 – you can buy this product right here – https://www.muastore.co.uk/new/mualuxe-velvet-matte-lipstick – retails for £3
IMG_0474
Shade 4 – second shade
IMG_0477
Shade 12 – you can buy this product right here – https://www.muastore.co.uk/new/mualuxe-velvet-matte-lipstick – retails for £3
IMG_0478
Shade 12 – bottom pink

MUA Luxe Velvet Matte Lipsticks – Shade 4 & 12 – I love this formula of these lipsticks. The formula feels so nice on my lips, not drying at all. But I do NOT like the bullet these lipsticks come with. The application because of these bullets makes it so hard to do a perfect application of these lipsticks. But apart from that, I love these lipsticks. Even the packaging is pretty sleek.

IMG_0466
Perseus – you can buy this product right here – https://www.muastore.co.uk/mua-luxe-velvet-matte-metallic-lip-lacquer-perseus – retails for £3
IMG_0468
Perseus

MUA Velvet Matte Metallic Lip Lacquer – Perseus – I don’t usually like metallic lipsticks and don’t like buying any. But I thought I would give this a shot, and I really liked it. It isn’t patchy and not drying either. I love how it applied and it is a pretty metallic pink shade!

I used the MUA Velvet Matte Lipstick in shade number 4 for this tutorial.

Thank you so much for reading. This blog post had a little bit of everything, a review, a haul and testing out new products!!

Have you tried out any of these products? If so, comment down below! What about the Firmoo glasses, have you ever tried ordering from this website?

Until next time,
