How are you all doing? Are you excited to see more of Blogmas? I thank everyone who has checked out Blogmas Day 1 already, and for those of you who are just joining me on Day 2 … WELCOME!!
Today’s blogmas is all about an eyeshadow palette I recently received in the I Heart Chocolate Vault from Makeup Revolution. I had done a video on this box, you can check it out RIGHT HERE. And basically, in this box you will find this palette. However, I now know that you can buy this palette separately too!
I have done a video showing you exactly how the palette tested out and what not, but since I am doing a blog post a day, I will include the videos I upload on my Youtube Channel as part and parcel of my Blogmas … you know what I am saying?
My thoughts on the Cranberries and Chocolate Palette –
I love the packaging of the Chocolate palettes, and I love the shade this one comes in! I think it’s a very christmas-sy colour, so this palette is perfect for a blog post, don’t you agree? I also like how the shadows come with names and you get a great sized mirror!
The palette has a mixture of shimmers and mattes. It also has this gorgeous black shade called Rich which is perfect for that smokey eye. It also has this beautiful dark pink/berry shade called Wine which is a great shade for the crease and a berry look! Which is like the look I did in my video!
The matte shadows worked out well and are so pigmented and blend nicely even with each other. Yet the shimmer shades I had to work with them more. Number one I cannot use them without wetting my brush. Example Tasteful worked well all over the lid applying it with a flat brush which was wet. Yet gratification which is the white shimmer shade didn’t go on as pigmented as i would have hoped in my inner corner even though my brush was wet.
So I wish the shimmer shades worked out better but apart from that, I love this palette. It’s a perfect autumn/winter palette with a variety of brown, pink, shimmer shades and even a dark brown and black! And if you’re looking for an inexpensive palette to create a berry toned look or a brown toned too you can use this for those looks!!
Here is my video if you would like to see how it tested out –
Thank you so much for reading!! Have you tried this palette out or are you interested in doing so? Let me know in the comments down below!!
How are you all doing? It’s Friday which means a new Blog post must be uploaded! And I truly love writing blog posts as much as I love creating videos! When writing up blog posts my room’s atmosphere is different, with my fairy lights on and music playing!
Anyways, moving on! This week I only managed to write up one blog post, but if you wish to see more than one blog post per week, do let me know in the comments down below!
Before I start I would like to say THANK YOU to everyone who has subscribed to my channel! I reached 3k subscribers!! I am simply still over whelmed and so happy !! Thank you for joining my little corner! There’s 3000 of us! And a bit more now too!
Today’s post is all about a Makeup Tutorial that featured lots of new products that I never tried out before! Be sure to be subscribed to my Youtube Channel!!
So in the video I did not really review the products, I simply just said how I used them. But I wanted to come here and talk about some NEW products that I tried out whilst filming this makeup tutorial!
The Products I used in this makeup tutorial were –
(The ones in Bold are the ones that I will be talking about in this blog post, as they are the new products that I had never tried out before filming this video!)
Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe Herbs and Rosewater
Makeup Revolution Foundation Stick in F4
Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Full Coverage Conceal and Contour Concealer
Primark Beauty PS … Insta Girl Rice Powder
Catrice Brow Palette – Matt & Glow – First I applied the wax and then the powder shade
Max Factor Brow Gel
Maybelline Fit me Matte and Poreless Pressed Powder shade 120 Classic Ivory
Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette
Shades used: Orange Soda, Burnt Orange, Mulberry, Fairy, Rose Pink, Tempera for the inner corner and brow bone highlight
Essence Super Precise Eyeliner
Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara
GWA Fantasy lashes – I bought these from Primark!!
This facial spray has become a staple in my everyday makeup routine. I love the smell of it and I love how it sprays. Although, to be honest the first time I sprayed it I was not impressed as not much product was coming out. But then I don’t know how the pump readjusted itself or something because more products sprayed out and I just love how it makes my skin feel.
I love applying it before and after applying makeup. I find that it helps my makeup last longer. But in this makeup tutorial that I filmed I wished I had applied a primer that helps in reducing pores as I only sprayed this as my ‘primer’ and it kind of did nothing to my pores which is obvious because it does not state that it should. So yes, a gentle reminder to apply a primer nonetheless after spraying this all over your face before applying makeup!
So yes Makeup Revolution have released their foundation sticks and they are only £5 each!! I mean you do not get much product but honestly, it is so worth it! It conceals so much, like all my redness was gone and spots were hidden without the need to apply concealer!!
But it really increases the appearance of my pores, so it is very important to apply a pore minimizing primer when using this foundation! Also, this foundation stick comes in 18 different shades! That’s just amazing!!
Makeup Revolution also released their amazing, jaw dropping concealers before the foundation sticks! In the makeup tutorial I used C4 but now I also bought the C2 because I wanted it a bit lighter for my under eye concealer.
Again, the concealer comes in 18 different shades and it’s just £4! I mean you can’t go wrong! I love the applicator of this concealer, it’s similar to the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer but the Makeup Revolution one I would say creases more.
I got mine in the shade 120 Classic Ivoryand to be honest I thought I would be more impressed. I love the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder, I have been using that to set my face for so long now and I wanted a change! But I thought this powder from Maybelline would decrease my pores a little more than it does! After filming this makeup tutorial, I did use it again and again this powder and yes having a pore minimizing primer helped, but I just thought that this powder would have a stronger effect than it actually gives out.
This palette is just …. one word …. STUNNING. Ok two words – GORGEOUS. The colour scheme is great because you have everyday wearable shades but you also have a dark red and black for smokey eyes! I just love this palette and compared to Subculture and Prism, this one is way better and right down my alley!
The powders aren’t that powdery although I recommend you do your eye makeup first if you want to avoid fall out! But they blend really well, the shimmer shades also apply nicely. I applied Fairy and RosePink with a damp brush, sprayed with the Mario Badescu setting spray to intensify their look and I think it worked out great! They lastedallday and I just love how the look turned out! Definitely will be reaching for this palette while I am here in Scotland!
#6 GWA Fantasy lashes + DUO Lash Glue (I bought mine from Primark)
OH MY GOODNESS! I swear I was so shocked!Shocked! These applied just PERFECTLY,EFFORTLESSLY!!! Like OMG! And the glue must have been good too! I bought both these products from Primark and am in love!!! BUT I cannot find Fantasy lashes from Primark!! I only find the Glamour and Natural ones but not the Fantasy ones!! Must find them because they are worth the £3!
I love the look the lashes gave! Imogen recommended these lashes over on youtube. I have been following her youtube channel since she first started her channel over a year ago and she has come a long way! In fact, she is sort of my inspiration! I love the way she creates content, and even though she is becoming big on Youtube she still takes the time to reply to her followers and she is just a nice person over all! If you didn’t know about Imogen also known as Imogenation over at youtube, then get to know!!
And that’s the end of this blog post! Do you use any of the products I mentioned? Is one or more your favourite products to use? Let me know in the comments down below! I also hope you liked the makeup look I created !! Let me know in the comments down below too!
See you all next week! And thank you so much for reading!
This palette has been talked about a lot and in my opinion has the loveliest of shades. (I just got mine and cannot wait to play around with it!) But I think this would make for a perfect Christmas gift as it has vibrant shades, the quality is just amazing and you just get so much in the palette! You can create so many looks!! I think this would be an amazing Christmas gift!
If you want something slightly cheaper than the gift above, any eyeshadow palette from Makeuprevolution would honestly be great! But one that I know you cannot go wrong with is this one right here. I just made a makeup tutorial using this palette and I think it is just so pigmented, the shadows blend well, you get a great variety of colours and it is only $10! What more can a girl want!! And it comes in the cutest packaging and if your friend/girlfriend/daughter/whoever loves watching Youtubers then she would definitely love this as this was a Collab with SophDoesNails!
There are 8 different shades of these lipsticks and they all look stunning. I personally haven’t tried these but I think giving any JeffreeStar Liquid Lipstick would be amazing. In this collection you can choose from either a matte or metallic finish. I think they are a great Christmas Gift Idea!
Yes this is a little pricey, but wait I will give you a cheaper alternative don’t worry! But this mask I think is perfect for those girls who love face masks, love having their weekly chill session and relaxation time! It is a great face mask that brightens and clears your skin! It dries so quickly and feels amazing after rinsing it off!
I told you I would give you an alternative face mask which is much cheaper. You can buy different types of these Garnier face masks and they are amazing too. You can reuse these and they are so hydrating and refreshing on your skin!! You can make a cute little gift set with these!! These could also be stocking fillers!
In this set, you get a body lotion and a body set. You can buy them separately but honestly I think buying the set is much more worth both for the quantity you get and for the value of money. I love Zoella’s products and the Snowella body mist just smells so sweet and cute! I think that this gift is perfect for those girls who love spraying anything during anytime of the day!!
This set is perfect for those girls who enjoy taking baths! The gift set includes a bath tea bag and a bath milk powder! They come so cutely packaged and the girls who love baths would thank you for them !! Maybe they never used a bath tea bag but from then on they would do so! And again it is from Zoella so if the girl you are buying the gift for loves Youtubers then I am sure she would love this! Anything from Zoella is actually a cute Christmas Gift Idea!
This is the cutest mirror that someone could add to their vanity. So many people have talked about and bought it. And so many people loved it. I think it is a cute gift idea and is an inexpensive one too!
This gift is for those who are Kylie Cosmetics fan. Both these palettes are currently in stock and their shades look equally cute. Which palette you choose for a gift depends on the person who you are buying it hehe! I think that any girl would love this … but that’s my opinion so I might be wrong!! (Just be careful as they might not arrive before Christmas, I ordered mine on November 27th and they haven’t even been shipped yet 😦 )
This is for those girls who loves note taking or journaling or writing to do lists! And yes it is another Zoella product but like I said, Zoella has some amazing gift ideas from her collection! I think that this journal had to make it into my list of Christmas ideas for her as it is just too cute!
What did you think of My Christmas Gift Ideas? Where there ones you liked or disliked? Please let me know in the comments down below!
Thank you so much for reading and for supporting my blog!!
And that’s all from me today!! Join me and my blog again today for the next Blogmas!!
I am currently in Malta for a little trip but on Sunday will fly back to Stirling. But I couldn’t miss my weekly blog post! And like I wrote, this week you got two blog posts and not just one!
So here is the second one of the week!
It is all about a Cut Crease Makeup Tutorial using Soph X Makeup Revolution’sEyeshadow and Highlighter Palette.
I love both products. The eyeshadowpalette has a variety of colour choices and you can create so many looks out of it! It is only £10! That is such a great price! The packaging is so cute too however, the open it, it is such a hassle!!
The shadows applies well, there is some fall out so if you prefer to not do your foundation before your eye makeup then do so! But I honestly don’t mind and you can brush off the fall out and just re apply some concealer. The shadows blendwell and are so pigmented. I used the shade fairylights which is a shimmer shade all over my lid, and I dampened my brush to up the effect of that shadow and it worked out great!
I also loved the highlighter palette that comes with a variety of highlight shades. They are so pigmented and you should definitely mix and match to brighten up that highlight!! The highlighter palette is £8. All in all I really loved using both palettes and think that they are worth the buy!!

I think the Shampoos and Conditioners from Herbal Essence are lovely products and leave your hair not only smelling like strawberries but also leaves your hair feeling smooth and healthy.
Makeup Revolution Pro Base Blur Primer
This is a good primer to start off your makeup. It is a good base and helps decrease those nasty pores from being seen. It may not hide them completely but it does decrease them. L’Oreal Paris Infallible 24HR Foundation in Rose beige
I have been loving this foundation this summer! It has been one of my favourites as it makes me believe that my face actually looks flawless! And that is saying a lot from me who has acne scares and pores galore! ZOEVA Defined Buffer Brush N. 103
I loved applying my l’Oreal foundation with this brush. I think it blends out foundations really well especially if they are creamy and liquid-y! Rimmel Clear Complexion Clarifying Powder in Transparent
I have replaced my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder for this one! I think it is just a perfect, lightweight powder to set all your makeup. Milani Illuminating Face Powder in Amber Nectar
I love using this as my blush as it contains different shades that when blended together make a perfect natural blushed look. MUA Mosaic Bronzer in Sunkissed Glow
Again this has different browns all blended together which can give you that natural bronzed looking effect that we all crave during these hot summer months! BH Cosmetics HD Brow Pencil in Blonde
I absolutely love this brow pencil! It is by far the best out of all my eyebrow products in my collection. It just fills your brows in the most natural and perfect way ever. It is also a dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hill HD Brow Whiz! BH Cosmetics, Illuminate by Ashley Tisdale Eyeshadow Palette in Night Goddess
I have been using this palette all throughout these summer months and have been loving the palette. Even though this includes a blush, contour and highlight shade; they are not my favourite. However, the eyeshadow shades are super pigmented, easy to blend and are not too powder-y!
My Favourite Eyeshadow shades are Wild Child and Moon Light ❤ mixed together they are super sweet! Essence Get Big Lashes Volume Curl Mascara
This mascara besides coming from the brand called essence which is an animal cruelty free brand is an amazing product! The wand of the brush allows you to hit all your lashes from left to right! It is not clumpy and gives your lashes volume and length. LIPS:
