I am currently in Malta for a little trip but on Sunday will fly back to Stirling. But I couldn’t miss my weekly blog post! And like I wrote, this week you got two blog posts and not just one!
So here is the second one of the week!
It is all about a Cut Crease Makeup Tutorial using Soph X Makeup Revolution’sEyeshadow and Highlighter Palette.
I love both products. The eyeshadowpalette has a variety of colour choices and you can create so many looks out of it! It is only £10! That is such a great price! The packaging is so cute too however, the open it, it is such a hassle!!
The shadows applies well, there is some fall out so if you prefer to not do your foundation before your eye makeup then do so! But I honestly don’t mind and you can brush off the fall out and just re apply some concealer. The shadows blendwell and are so pigmented. I used the shade fairylights which is a shimmer shade all over my lid, and I dampened my brush to up the effect of that shadow and it worked out great!
I also loved the highlighter palette that comes with a variety of highlight shades. They are so pigmented and you should definitely mix and match to brighten up that highlight!! The highlighter palette is £8. All in all I really loved using both palettes and think that they are worth the buy!!
Here is the makeup tutorial –

Hope you all are doing great. Today is such a lovely day in Stirling, I couldn’t help but sit down at my desk and write a blog post.
I am so excited to share with you all Malta’s very first Beauty Subscription Box thanks to Plait.Plait is a subscription box website which have 5 different boxes ranging from Maltese food, snacks, beer, wine and now even makeup!
What’s exciting is that because most of the other subscription bags worldwide don’t ship to Malta, but we finally have our very own beauty box called Beauty Plait. Now, the Beauty Plait doesn’t ship internationally, however the rest of the boxes do.
You can choose from 3 different subscription types:
Month subscription – €21
3 months subscription – €19
6 months subscription – €17
What does the Beauty Plait box consist of?
The beauty box comes with 5 products, not sample sizes but full size products and is worth over €40!! I also liked how the box came with a quote that said, “Happy girls are the prettiest”, from Audrey Hepburn.
Now the November box is already SOLD OUT but you can order the next box, which is the December box on November 1st 2017.
I would like to THANK Plait for giving me the opportunity to review the Beauty Plait!! Thank you so much!!
Now I will write about the products that were in the Octoberbox and my thoughts on the products. You can also watch my video right here of trying the products out for the first time too –
The products that were found in the October box were:
TEOXANE Advanced Perfecting Shield
This is quite a high quality kind of product, sold at a high price. It has SPF 30 which I love because Malta needs that SPF to protect us against UV rays!! It is a tinted face cream that you can apply alone or before applying foundation. It contains HyaluronicAcid and peptides which helps our skin. It states that it should create a smooth, radiant base for makeup.
My Thoughts –
I found the product to leave my skin with a glow. I loved the way it made my skin feel. I like wearing it on its own but I also like wearing it alongside foundation and a full face of makeup. It creates a nice base for when you apply the rest of your makeup!
Milkshake Whipped Cream Leave in Foam
I love Milkshake products mostly because of that amazing vanilla scents they come in!! This leave in foam conditioner contains milk, wheat germ and casein proteins that help strengthen the hair whilst detangling agents help in adding smoothness and shine.
My Thoughts –
This product has been added to my Hair Routine. I just love applying it to my ends of my damp hair after a shower. And then I style it by making it wavier. It just leaves my hair feeling soft and shiny!
EVAGARDEN Glaring Eye shadow – Shade 261
This is a powder eye shadow that leaves us with a pearled and ‘metallized’ effect. It is also long lastingas well.
My Thoughts –
Shade 261 is a gorgeous metallicdarkbrown with speckles of glitter. I loved applying it as my shade in the outercorner to finish off my brownsmokey eye makeup look. I found the shadow to blendwell and it was not at all powdery.
Pupa Diva’s Lashes Mascara Maxi Volume
This mascara states to have a volumising effect and creates “defined, sculpted and perfectly combed eyelashes.” It thickens lashes without adding weight.
I loved how the mascara applied and it separated my lashes well. It did not transfer on my lids and simply lengthened my lashes. I did not find it to create that much volume, in my opinion it is more of a lengthening mascara rather than a volumising one.
I was so excited for this product but I was disappointed with it. It states that it should have a vanilla scent yet I do not smell one.It is a little sticky and not moisturising on the lips but what I was mostly disappointed was that it wasn’t as pigmentedas I hoped it would be. This product didn’tdazzle me at all. However, I preferred using it on a lipstick rather than on its own.
So those were my thoughts on this month’s Beauty Plait. Was it a hit?
I think so – I loved 4/5 of the products – so of course it is a hit!My most fave products out of them all had to be the Milkshake Leave in Foam Conditioner and the EVAGARDEN Glaring Eye Shadow – I was so impressed by them!!
I cannot wait to see what the next box will bring in Beauty Plait!!
Have you guys tried the Beauty Plait? If that’s a yes, what did you think of the products? If that was a no, will you subscribe for the next box? Comment down below!!
Besides getting my makeup done I also got to know a little bit about Chanel Makeup Products. I honestly never had tried any makeup, and the only Chanel product we have at home is the ever so famous Chanel N°5 Perfume. So I was very excited to see how Chanel Makeup plays out.
Here is the makeup look Karen created – A very natural look.
I got to try out the following products –
Hydra Beauty Micro Creme
Hydra Beauty Flash
Hydra Beauty Micro Gel Eyes
CC Cream with SPF 50!
Eyebrow Number 30
Corrective perfection Number 10
CHANEL Dimensions De Chanel Mascara
Blusher Number 88
Lipliner Number 91
Chanel – Ink Rouge Number 142
I also was lucky as I was given some samples to try out!
I received the Coco Mademoiselle Perfume. It just smells so nice and perfect! I can’t help but using it everyday! It’s on my Wishlist!
I also got the Hydra Beauty Micro Creme. Karen had used it on my skin and it was so refreshing, hydrating and fresh on the skin. I enjoy applying it before applying any makeup and it’s perfect for this time of year!
Karen also used the Hydra Beauty Flash that I also received a sample of. This is another moisturiser which hydrates and provides a soothing effect. This helps in decreasing the skin’s imperfections by creating an even texture with less visible pores.
Karen used the CC Cream which had SPF 50. That’s perfect for this Summer season. I also was lucky to receive a sample of the Vitalumiere Aqua – Ultra Light Skin Perfecting Makeup with SPF 15. This has a soft, water-light texture with light to medium coverage. The skin feels so fresh and it isn’t sticky or tacky!
I also got to try out the Dimensions De Chanel Mascara in Shade 10 Noir which Karen used on me. This is an all in one mascara that gives out volume and length as well as a curl to your lashes. It also doesn’t transfer on the lid and gives a lovely natural look to your lashes.
I also received the Rouge Coco Gloss samples with 5 shades. There’s a pretty pink, reds and a slight purple pink shade. They sit nicely on the lips and aren’t too sticky, just the way I like a gloss to be!
At the makeover Karen used a lipliner and the Ink Rouge in Number 142. I loved how it lasted all throughout the day and it moisturised the lips.
I would like to thank Roberts Sliema Perfumery once again and Karen for such a lovely day and for the lovely makeup!
I hope you enjoyed reading, have you ever tried any of these products? If so, comment down below!!

I love this palette. I recently started using this and I find that the shades it includes are the basic shades one would use. They are easy to blend and have lovely pigmentation.
Soft Light/ Douce Lumiere
Milani Baked Blush in Berry Amore
I love using this blush, it is not a blush I would use every day as it is a bit on the pink side. But I loved interpreting it with this look. This again I ordered from the Maltese online shopping website.
Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in Alyssa
I love the Ultra Satin formula from Colourpop. Alyssa is one of the shades from the Kathleen Lights collab she did with them and one of my favourite colours from that collaboration!! Elf Makeup mist & Set
I used mostly from MUA – in long – Makeup Academy where you can get all your makeup items either from Superdrug if I am not mistaken or from their website – http://www.muastore.co.uk which is where I get everything from.
Now I used everything from MUA except for the first step which is, primer. I do not own a MUA primer but I used Makeup Revolution’s Primer and again this is drugstore and you can either buy it from a drugstore or from the website.
