April 2017 Favourites – Skincare, Hair products & Makeup

Hi beauty lovers,

How are you all doing? Hope you are having a great start to the week!

IMG_8611

Yesterday, I released a BONUS video up on my channel and it was all about my April Favourites; ranging from hair products, skincare and makeup!

My April 2017 Favourites –

IMG_8622

Tangle Teezer

I love using this to untie my knots that seem to love my hair! I love using in this show before applying conditioner and before rinsing it off. This helps my hair in not getting too tangled after coming out of the shower!

TRESemme’ Salon Sleek Frizz Control Smooth Memory Spray

I love using this before straightening my hair and to keep my hair from frizzing after having had a shower!

IMG_8618

Arad Facial Cleansing Milk

This has been my favourite product to use to remove my makeup! It literally takes off any makeup you could possibly use! It is so soft and gentle on the skin. You can click here to read an entire blog post all about this product!

Arad Mineral Facial Scrub

I have been using this in conjunction with my Vichy cleanser and have loved the combination. It really has helped my pores decrease in size and helped keep my face cleansed and clean. You can click here to read an entire blog post all about this product!

NYX Angel Veil Skin Perfecting Primer

IMG_8638

I have been using this primer constantly this month – as in April! It helps keep my makeup last longer and also helps create a nice base before applying other makeup products! It also helps decrease the look of pores!

L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Foundation

IMG_8623

I have been wanting to buy this foundation for a while now and now having tried it I can say it was worth the wait and the money! I would say this a medium to full coverage – very buildable! I love how it sits on the skin – not cakey whatsoever!

Collection  Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer

IMG_8639

For the price it is amazing! One of my favourite concealers to highlight the bridge of my nose, my cupid’s bow and chin! And also to conceal under my eyes. It doesn’t crease and lasts all day!

Wycon Prime and Fine Powder

IMG_8640

This sets my foundation and concealer nicely. It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin and the shade is perfect and blends well!

Milani Baked blush in Berry Amore

I love this blush – it’s like a mix of orange, pink and gold altogether! It has tiny glitter speckles which adds to the intensity and glimmer of this blush! I also love the packaging of the baked blushes by Milani!

Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer

I have been wanting this product ever since I saw Kathleen Lights rave about it so many times! I ordered mine off ebay! I forgot to say in the video that it has an intense summer smell that makes you excited for beach and summer days. It just creates a natural and bronzed look. It is very light weight and not that intense – my favourite!

Sleek Precious Metals Highlight Palette

The packaging is gorgeous and the highlights are amazing! My favourite shade is Antique Bronze which is a lovely gold cream highlight. Perfect for not pointing out your pores more as a powder highlight would!

Max Factor Natural Brow Styler

IMG_8636

I love this as it settles and tames my brows in place. It keeps them intact all throughout the day and dries clearly.

IMG_8634

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara

This mascara has been an old favourite of mine. It just separates and lengthens my lashes nicely. It also doesn’t transfer on eyelids.

Essence Lash Princess Volume Mascara

Yes if you are doing a physical activity and you are wearing this – it may transfer on your eyelids. But it just lengthens and volumises the lashes ever so nicely!

Essence The Cushion Eyeliner

I had never used a cushion eyeliner before and let me just say this small pot really impressed me! It just creates a lovely intense black line!

Essence The Eyeliner Waterproof Pen

You can create a thick or bold line with this waterproof pen. It doesn’t move either! It is not patchy whatsoever although, as the day goes by it does become patchy and you might want to retouch it.

BH Cosmetics Illuminate by Ashley Tisdale- Beach Goddess Palette –

IMG_8616

This palette is just too cute. I love the shades they are all so natural and you can create different looks. My favourite shades from this palette are Fiji – a cream shade , Maui – a copper shade and St. Lucia – a bronze shade. The eyeshadows are also so pigmented and blend nicely together.

MUA Velvet Lip Lacquer – Sizzle

You know that I love these lipsticks! I also includes this shade in my Favourite Spring Lipsticks video and couldn’t resist but to include this in my April Favourites too! I love this shade – it is a beautiful orange/red shade! This one isn’t patchy whatsoever!

Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip – Point Zero

I know that this doesn’t look like a spring shade but I loved wearing it this month and found myself reaching it for it more than I thought I would. The wand isn’t my favourite, but once applied I love the shade on my lips. It is like a brown/nude shade and has a bit of a satin shimmer finish. This was one of the collaborations Kathleen Lights did with Colourpop.

Favourite TV Show – 13 Reasons Why

Oh my god – if you haven’t seen this you really should! It is a Netflix TV Show made up of 13 episodes – 13 reasons why Hannah did what she did! It is a different story from what you normally see but worth watching because these things actually do happen and we need to have our eyes opened more!

Favourite Movie – Beauty and the Beast

This is such a cute movie. I normally do not like movies which have songs in them like musicals do. But I didn’t mind the songs in this movie! The costumes and the hair was amazing and I love the little cutlery dancing around the objects being animate. Watching this movie also brought back childhood memories of when I used to see the cartoon movie on tape!

What were your favourites of April 2017? Have you tried any of the above products?

Thank you so much for reading!

We decided on creating 2 different looks in preparation for Valentine’s Day! Now we have thought of two scenarios that us girls can face on V-Day!

One of them is a Lunch Date look for those girls going on a date with their loved one or their first date! Something simple yet classy!

The second look is for those girls who are going to be having a GNOGirls Night Out with their best friends!

I shall be doing the makeup side of the looks whilst Deborah will be taking care of the outfits!

AdoreMe & Feeling Sexy?

Hi everyone,

So recently I was emailed by AdoreMe and was asked to participate in their #sexysummerylingerie flatlay project.

At first when I read the words ‘sexy’ and ‘lingerie’ I cringed. I mean here I am with the smallest chest size praying every day to the Gods out there to please make them grow at least a pea size more!

I cannot say that I hate them being small but I guess I would lie if I would say I don’t want them to at least be a tiny bit bigger!

So yeah, when I saw the word lingerie and participate in the same sentence I was a little hesitant to take part! But then I read that it is just a flatlay project and I was like, “I so can do that!”

Feeling sexy is something that I can’t say I see myself feeling a lot. I do feel cute and pretty but sexy is not a word I would use to describe myself.

Maybe it’s because of the lack of chest size I have. I guess you can say I do feel uncomfortable with being small chested but I have come a long way. I used to struggle and lacked any confidence as I could not wear certain tops or dresses because everything looked flat.

But now I just know what clothes to wear and what makes me look & feel good!

I do feel comfortable in my size and am not ashamed by my chest size. I do love my breasts (I call them “righty and lefty) equally and in the end I am happy with the way I am.

So I could not pass up this opportunity on taking part in the #sexysummerylingerie flatlay project.

I paired my favourite bra with my Mac Nude Lipstick ‘Angel’. I love wearing this lipstick and it comes in a creamy & soft formula.

I also put in my fave mascara from essence. This lengthens your lashes and makes your eyes pop! This paired with the lipstick is I guess you can say ‘sexy’.

Besides makeup I also had to put in this perfume from Roberto Cavalli. Besides its packaging being a stunner, it smells amazing. My boyfriend bought this for me in Christmas and I love it.

Finally I had to add some floral-y item to the flat lay so I added this fake flower in the mix. I guess this would be my #sexysummerylingerie flatlay which could make me feel sexy and it also looks sexy too.
