Carbon Coco – Teeth Whitening – An Honest Review

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all doing well! Today’s post is all about Teeth Whitening!

I am quite self conscious over my teeth as they aren’t straight at all. However, I do have very healthy teeth and I brush daily.

Have I ever wanted to do braces? Yes, but due to financial reasons I couldn’t afford to do so for now. Maybe in the future I don’t know, but for the time being I have come to accept the appearance of how my teeth are.

Carbon Coco approached me a few weeks ago, and asked me whether I was interested in doing a review on their Activated Charcoal Tooth Polish and I accepted.

Carbon Coco sells a variety of items to keep those teeth of your white & clean! They are a 100% natural company and are animal cruelty free.

Their Activated Charcoal Tooth Polish helps remove plaque, keep your teeth and mouth clean and helps removes toxins in your body.

Therefore, besides whitening your teeth it also promotes for clean hygiene.

Carbon Coco also kindly sent me a brush along with the Whitener. I first dampened the brush with a little bit of water and dipped the brush in the charcoal. I then brushed my teeth for 3 entire minutes and then spat and rinsed my mouth. (You can watch the video to watch me brushing away and get a closer look of the end result!)

Besides the charcoal leaving some black coloured leftover around my teeth, I loved the product. I do believe that you have to use the product for a number of times especially if you have yellow stains but the end result is a good one.

Their website also has individuals who are there to help, and their customer care service responds ever so quickly. So whatever you need to ask, do ask them and they will happily give you an answer.

Thin Tea Detox Blends – Review

Hi everyone,

This blog post is all about my brand new video which I just uploaded.

Thin Tea is an Australian brand that sells detox blends which are a 100% natural – gluten, dairy, laxative and caffeine free!

They have a number of blends ranging from 14 or 28 day detox blends to a sleep slumber tea, stress less blends and clari teas which promote focus.

The website shares so much information about their products and are very helpful too. They have a chat system whereby you can talk directly to a Thin Tea representative and ask whatever questions you might have.

On the website there is also a food plan that you can follow and is free to download.

I would like to thank Thin Tea for sending me two blends – the 14 Day Detox blend and the 14 Day Fat Burn blend.

I do not usually try these certain products however, by reading more about the blends and seeing other reviews I was intrigued to go ahead and give them a shot.

With the Detox blend – I take it every morning and what you do is use the tea strainer that you get from the website and place the blends in the strainer then let it into some hot water and leave it for 2 to 3 minutes. I then take the strainer out and enjoy the cup of tea.

The detox blend has a sour plain taste to it, and isn’t that pretty. It helps alkalise your body and leaves you feeling balanced and refreshed.

It contains – fennel seed and nettle leaf, which provide antioxidants that can reduce inflammation and even ward off allergies. It also includes Marshmallow leaf, dandelion root, and juniper berry work to help your food digest and reduce acidity. The blend also includes rose petal to help stimulate and harmonise your immune and nervous systems.

What I mostly noticed was that my bloating decreased as I usually tend to have quite a bit of bloating when I knowingly take foods which aren’t good for me i.e. gluten and egg foods as I am intolerant to them.

The fat detox blend I only tried it out three times as I do not think I really needed it. However, this you take before your dinner and final meal. And you do the same process as with the detox blend.

The fat burn blend has active ingredients that get right to work, boosting your metabolism so your body can burn those calories you’re about to eat faster. It also suppresses your appetite so you won’t be tempted to overeat.

I did notice that my craving for snacks decreased but I simply didn’t think I needed it so I stopped it.

My opinion is that they do work to a certain extreme. The detox blend should have helped cleanse my skin however, I did not see that much and it should have helped boost my immune system however, I did get sick while I was on the blend. So there are some hits and misses but I do recommend you in trying it out. Of course this may have worked for me but it may not work for you. But you should try it as it is 100% natural and safe for your body.

Have you tried out these blends?

ARAD Dead Sea – Black Mud Soap – Helps with Psoriasis

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all having a lovely Sunday!

I wanted to come here and write up a small blog post all about the Black Mud Soap from Arad.

If you haven’t done so already, I regularly post reviews about products from Arad, and you can check the previous blog posts right here –

Also if you are Maltese you could also check out the Arad Dead Sea Malta Facebook Page!

Before starting the review I would like to share with you all that I have Psoriasis. It’s when the skin cells multiply up to 10 times faster than normal.

‘As underlying cells reach the skin’s surface and die, their sheer volume causes raised, red plaques covered with white scales.’

I usually get this on my scalp however, I now am getting this on the spine of my back. It is very irritating and if I do not use the correct products it only gets worse.

IMG_7705

Thankfully a product from Arad has calmed my psoriasis down. With that I am talking about this Black Mud Soap. This natural soap is enriched with minerals that helps in cleansing the skin and removing excess oils and dirt from your skin.

It is recommended for those who have normal to oily skin.

How do I use it?

17268913_10210796061870277_587152322_o

I do not use it every time but only every other time. Whilst waiting for the conditioner to set in my hair I apply this soap only to the regions whereby my skin is affected by Psoriasis; that is on my spine on my back. And I gently rub it onto it, leave it settle and then rinse it off. I then go ahead and shower as per usual.

My thoughts –

17273486_10210796060110233_974433867_o

I find that this soap has helped calm down my psoriasis leaving my skin as normal as it can get!

For those of you who have Psoriasis, I know that it isn’t treatable but will stay with you for the rest of your life, so the only thing you can do is to keep it calm! And for that is the reason why I love this soap as that is what it does, it is so gentle on my skin and helps my skin breathe!

Have you ever tried this product or any other products from Arad? Comment down below would love to read your comments!

Happy Sunday and thank you for reading!

Sephora – Algae Face Mask Review

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all having a LOVELY week!

Yesterday’s vlog (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNi4urCHwAo) included a face mask that I tried out for the first time last weekend.

16910879_10210624203853934_81511364_o

I got the Algae Face mask from Sephora whilst I was in Rome. I was having a bad skin day and decided to pamper myself a little for the evening.

Each face mask that Sephora provides has a natural lyocell fibre masks, each with skin care benefits.

What it should do –

16930651_10210624203813933_735871149_o

Each mask has a different active ingredient for relaxing the skin and gather a better and brighter complexion.

The Algae Face Mask helps to detoxify the skin and get rid of any impurities that cause dullness and replace them with a fresh and radiant complexion. It does not include any parabens and the products are animal cruelty free.

My thoughts –

After applying the sheet onto my face – something I had never done before – apart from it feeling strange, it actually felt refreshing. I kept it on for around 25 minutes and then took it off.

The first thing I noticed was that it left a shine-y finish; I thought that was because I didn’t need to rinse off the mask. But the shine and oily-ness remained even after hours having applied the mask.

The mask did leave a nice freshened up look on my skin however, I did not like how oily it made my skin. So I guess I wouldn’t choose the algae one again, instead I would choose another type of mask.

Have you ever tried any of the Sephora Face Masks?

Thank you so much for reading!

Body Blendz Coffee Scrub – Oats Oats Baby – Review

Hi everyone,

How are you all doing?

I just uploaded a NEW video and I wanted to also write up a blog post on it – just as I normally would do every week !!

Have I told you guys how much I LOVE writing up blog posts too apart from doing youtube videos? Well if I haven’t, I really do enjoy both!

Here’s my review video of today –

So Body Blendz was kind enough to send me a body scrub of theirs and asked me to do a review about it.

img_4594

Body Blendz is an Australian based company that does all natural products without using any harmful chemicals.

You can visit their website right here – http://www.bodyblendz.com.au

If you want to purchase any products, you can enter the coupon code – YOUTUBE20 at checkout and get 20% off!

img_4602

I tried out the OATS OATS BABY coffee scrub and it worked out excellently. There are other coffee scrubs like the Suga Daddy one – which I think is a cute funny name! They all do something different.

What is the Oats Oats Baby Scrub?

First of all it is suitable for ALL skin types.

It is anti-inflammatory

It is effective in healing dry & Itchy skin

It is a natural moisturiser for removing dead skin cells

It enhances wound healing

It is a natural cleanser and leaves behind soft & natural skin

It reduces pore sizes

The ingredients in this scrub are:

  • 100% Pure & Natural
  • Ground & Roasted Arabica Beans
  • Sea Salt
  • Fine Oatmeal
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Sweet Almond Oil
  • Macadamia Oil
  • Jojoba Oil

What I learnt from using it –

Place some product in a container and take this container with you in the shower/bath because it is rather messy. You wouldn’t want the bag to fall or slip because it will only result in a big mess!

Use this scrub when you are going to have a shower – meaning when you are going to wash only your body and not your hair. And don’t think you can go out of the shower/bath with this scrub settling in whilst waiting for the time to pass because you aren’t going to be able to. As I said it is way too messy!

It smells of coffee – so if you don’t like coffee I don’t know if you will like this product.

img_4605

The product comes in these fine grains that are rough against the skin whilst blending them in.

Do an Allergy PATCH test before using this product to make sure it agrees on your skin. Even though it is an all natural product it still somehow did not agree with me 100% as when I stepped out of the shower,  I had red patches on my back which yes went away after 5 minutes but still they were there. However, for the rest of the body my skin was normal.

Directions to using this product –

Make sure your body is wet and not damp before applying this coffee scrub

Take a handful of this product and place on chosen area. Blend in circular motions so that you allow the product to work its magic.

Leave it on for 5-10 minutes then rinse it well.

Make sure to seal the bag shut so you keep it fresh.

My thoughts –

This product really did make me feel as though I just ripped away the dead skin cells and replaced them with brand new fresh skin! It’s like I evolved (Pokemon reference).

Apart from getting a reaction on my back, I will use it again on other parts of my body as it is a nice feelings to feel yourself fresh and squeaky clean!

Hope you enjoyed my blog post/video.

Thank you so much for reading/watching!!

My Gluten & Egg Free Diet!

Hi everyone,

So yes, I am intolerant to Wheat and Egg foods.

Was it a life changer? Of course!

On a daily basis I used to enjoy an egg or some pasta! I love pasta, one of my favourite dishes!

I knew something was wrong with my body. The constant itching, the bruises, the spots! There was something inside, my body was fighting a battle and it was losing!

The worst I think was the itching. I needed to scratch – my back, my hands, my legs! The worst was my head !!

It was horrible! Even in public had to sneak away to just scratch!

Besides that I had bloating and worst of all I felt tired! I felt tired when I did not even do anything that should make me feel this way!!!

And so I did a food intolerance test … I did this in August and from then on I found out that I was intolerant to Wheat and Egg!

It was a shock and a relief! A relief because now I know why my body is acting the way it is acting! But a shock because I had to change my food diet, and those 2 food groups I loved and adored!

I mean especially eggs – I only knew how to fry an egg, boil an egg and scramble one too!

Going from one day thinking you can eat anything to the next having restrictions – it was hard! I think the hardest point came when I could not eat whatever I liked in restaurants whilst my friends ate anything that they liked!

Also cakes – good bye to cakes! No more going out with my friends to take some cake because I would not be able to !!

I live in Malta and gluten free things are still being introduced in local restaurants. There are a few places which I can name on my ten fingers who can offer a wide range of a menu for us – food intolerance peoples – but these are very limited!

I know of places who serve gluten free pancakes or gluten free cakes – but then they would have egg in them so still I would not be able to!

Then there are a lot of restaurants who serve gluten free pasta and pizza but then the price of these would be more than the other ‘normal’ foods! Ridiculous!

I however, have gotten used to this change! Yes I do break it sometimes and suffer the consequences later but I just cannot be too strong when there is my favourite cake standing in front of me !!

Anyways, I made this video about some gluten and egg free foods that I take daily and wanted to share it with you! I will be doing a story time video based on this new change in my life and all that I said above !! Please comment below if you would like to see this !!

Here’s the video –

I hope you like it ! This was also a collaboration with my friend Elle on youtube.
