Arad – Facial Scrub – Review

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all having a lovely Sunday. The weather in Malta looks bliss!!

Today’s blog post is all about another post on an Arad product! As you know if you have been on my blog for quite a while, I have been posting reviews about Arad products!

If you haven’t seen them already be sure to check them out, here are just a few –

Today is all about this Facial Scrub that I have been trying out for 2-3 months. I do not use it every day but I use it in conjunction with my Vichy Cleanser to regulate my acne prone skin. And since the Vichy Cleanser was recommended by my dermatologist I could not stop using it completely.

So what I have been doing is switching the two everyday and I found that this worked. I guess in the end you just have to simply experiment and see what products work out for you. Therefore, this may have worked out for me but it may not work out for you if you have acne.

So what is this Arad Facial Scrub?

IMG_8620

This scrub is formulated with ‘Dead Sea Mud‘ and ‘Natural scrubbing particles‘ to help with cleanse your skin and pores and help in ‘rejuvenating the look of the skin.’

It contains ‘Bees Wax‘ and ‘plant extracts’ which act as ‘skin conditioners‘ to help ‘sooth and calm the skin.’

How to apply it –

Rinse your face as normal, then with your fingertips apply the scrub in circular motions all over your face and avoiding the eye area; do this for one minute or so. Then gentle rinse off.

You could then apply the Arad Day Moisturiser and the Arad Night Cream after. The moisturiser I use is the Arad Hydro Light Moisturizer for Oily Skin.

My thoughts –

IMG_8621

What I like about this scrub is that it isn’t too messy. Even though it has these tiny particles which annoy me, they are easily rinsed off. These particles are the ‘Apricot Seeds‘ which helps in cleansing pores.

Now since I have been using this for a while, I have noticed that my pores are getting slightly smaller. They do not disappear so don’t expect magic. However, they have decreased in size; that makes Kezia very happy!

The scrub makes my skin feel soft and smooth and cleanses my skin thoroughly!

If you are Maltese like me, you can visit Arad Dead Sea Malta’s Facebook Page for more information.

Have you ever tried this product or any other product from Arad? What are your thoughts? If you haven’t, are you intrigued of doing so?

Thank you so much for reading!

Happy Sunday!

Arad Dead Sea Malta – Exfoliating Facial Gel Review

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all having a lovely Saturday!

Today I am here to share with you a product I have been using for the past 2 weeks!

As you all know I have been testing out products by Arad. You could visit the Arad Dead Sea Malta Facebook page right here – https://www.facebook.com/ARADMALTA/?fref=ts

I also have written previous reviews about other products and in my first post also gave a summary about the brand. You could check them out all right here –

Today I am reviewing the Exfoliating Facial Gel. I use it twice a week after I cleanse my face.

What I like most about all these products is that they all contain such great ingredients which are a helpful factor towards gaining healthy, soft and smooth skin!

The Facial Gel’s formula is said to deeply cleanse your skin and leave it “smooth and supple.”

It contains Jojoba seed oil, which is a natural skin conditioning emollient that is empowered by the exfoliating apricot seeds found inside. So I am guess that these should help in getting your skin to be as soft and supple as can be!

On the tube it says to apply over a wet surface however, what I do is I cleanse my face as usual then lightly dry it with a face cloth and immediately apply this exfoliant after.

I find that this way it is more effective and hopefully in this way the exfoliant is getting under my skin more and releasing it off any impurities.

I apply it with my finger tips and onto my skin and rub it gently in circular motions. I let it sit for a bit and then wash it and apply moisturiser and the rest of my skin routine as per usual.

What I do NOT like about this exfoliant is the little bits it has in it. I find it hard to rinse them off and even as I am applying my moisturiser they are still there.

Apart from them, I like using this exfoliant to freshen up and smoothen my face.

However, I have to add that the Arad Facial Mud Mask leaves my skin way softer than the Exfoliant Facial Gel.

Have you ever tried this product or any other Arad Product?

Thank you so much for reading!

Arad Dead Sea Malta – Facial Mud Mask – Review

Hi everyone,

A week ago, I wrote up my first review on a product by the brand – ARAD. You can go check out a Maltese Facebook Page all about them by visiting Arad Dead Sea Malta. They have a variety of products!

In my previous post I introduced the brand Arad and gave a summary of what the brand offers, what ingredients are used and why are these ingredients beneficial towards our skin.

If you would like you can view this first post right here –

Arad Dead Sea Malta – The Facial Cleansing Milk Review

(I also gave a review of a product that I am still loving – the Facial Cleansing Milk – Makeup Remover )

Today’s post is another face product that I have tried around 3 times to be exact. And that is the Arad Facial Mud Mask.

images-9

The product states that the mud mask absorbs any excess oils and removes any dead cells and saborea that you might have on your skin.

It also unblocks clogged pores to allow all toxins and bacteria to find their way out.

images-10

It should also stimulate the skin cells to drink the natural rich humectants it offers; and contains calming plant extracts such as Chamomile and Aloe Vera and it is lightly scented.

My thoughts –

(Excuse the Jammies but like I said I apply this in the MORNING!)

I apply this mud mask 2 times a week. It states on the tube that for oily skin you can use it 2 to 3 times a week; whilst for normal to combination skin you can use it 2 to 3 times a month. So before using it make sure you don’t over-use the product!

I first cleanse my face and then I dry my face using my face cloth. Then I would simply apply the mud mask all over my face and leave it for 15 minutes. (On the tube it says to leave it for 7-15 minutes but I like leaving it for the whole 15 minutes so whatever the mud mask needs to absorb it does so!)

I then rinse with lukewarm water and I will follow it up with my moisturiser and my normal face routine. I like applying this in the morning and it does help me wake up more refreshed and prepped for the day!

It doesn’t have a harsh smell, which is good but the best thing I find about this mud mask is that it isn’t messy at all! I sometimes find that with some face masks when rinsing them off, I won’t rinse them properly and I end up with a dirty and muddy face cloth to wash! However, with this one it is not the case.

I find my skin to be so soft after and I notice that my pores (I don’t know if this is a good thing) but they do show more. But I guess that means the face mask is doing its job by cleaning those little buggers out.

I do find my skin to be cleaner by using these products and shall be trying out a new product this week. Therefore, stay tuned for more reviews on Arad products soon!

Have you ever tried any of these Arad products? If not, are you intrigued to do so?

Thank you so much for reading!

Arad Dead Sea Malta – The Facial Cleansing Milk Review

Hi everyone,

I hope you had a lovely Christmas and enjoyed the time with your family, friends and loved ones. I wish you all a lovely HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Today’s post is about a product from the brand called Arad.

I would like to thank Arad Dead Sea Malta for giving me this opportunity to try out and review their products. You can visit them right here on their Facebook Page – Click Here.

Therefore, keep your eyes out for a number of reviews from this brand in the upcoming weeks to come and maybe even a Giveaway!

I personally had never tried any of their products, especially since they are skin products. I tend to just stick to my day to day face products and never change them as my skin is quite sensitive. I also have acne prone skin and do breakout quite often.

However, I was curious to try out their products and so I did.

Before I go onto review today’s product I would like to give a basic overview of the brand Arad.

screen-shot-2016-12-27-at-14-03-45

On their website, they state that a source of their products is from The Dead Sea which is, “the deepest hypersaline lake in the world, whose unique mineral content has been used as a boon for healthy skin for thousands of years.”

Arad is made up of 26 minerals (such as Pomegranate, Propolis and Mari Coll n-30 extracts) which are found in the dead sea and together they make the Arad 26 natural skin care line.

What are these ingredients and what do they do?

  • The Pomegranate is a powerful antioxidant, natural SPF booster and has Vitamins A & C.
  • Propolis is a natural ingredient and includes natural minerals and amino acids which are considered to have “antiseptic, antibacterial, water-binding and antioxidant properties.” It also includes Vitamins B compound that controls excess oiliness, pimples, irritability and redness. It also has a soothing effect on the skin.
  • Mari Coll n-30 is a high-purity, marine derived collagen that helps moisturise your skin, strengthens connective skin tissues and provides anti-irritant benefits.

These minerals come with plant-based ingredients that extract the purest of ingredients. The products are “preservative free, and most do not have additives such as parabens.”

Having read this about the brand I was curious to try out at least one of their products immediately!

Yesterday evening I tried out my first product, as it came time for bed I had to remove my makeup. Normally I would use my Vichy Pureté Thermale 3 in 1 but I used something different.

I used the Arad Facial Cleansing Milk – Make Up Remover.

img_6538

This product states that it contains Dead Sea Minerals which helps to remove all kinds of make-up and eliminates skin impurities. It is specially formulated to leave your skin prepared for further absorption of facial creams that you would follow up with after.

It is enriched with calming plant extracts and is suitable for sensitive eyes and users of contact lenses.

I gently squeezed the product onto a cotton pad and began rubbing it against my face. My makeup instantly came off. It wasn’t harsh against my skin nor did it burn my skin or cause any irritation.

15785102_10210107777543599_183950634_o

I was surprised at how quick it removed the makeup, my cotton pad was full of all that gunk!

It then came time to remove my eye makeup – and I was surprised as it again did not irritate my eye area and it removed my eye makeup with one rub! Yes I did have to go rub again to remove my mascara but the eyeliner came off so quick where usually I would have to rub a few times until it has cleared!

When I was done, I knew that my skin was cleansed of all my makeup by noticing that my pores were emphasised and huge! Was I happy with that? Maybe not but this Facial Cleanser really does the trick at removing your makeup!!

img_6540

I highly recommend this especially after a night out dancing with your friends! I know the feeling of just wanting to go home and get into bed without washing off your makeup! But with this product I am pretty sure that it would only take a minute or two and then you can jump into bed and snore all the way through to the afternoon!

Have you ever tried any products from the brand? If not, are you curious to try them out now?

Thank you so much for reading!!

Jor’El Parker Fango Mud Therapy Review

Hi everyone,

Hope you all are having a lovely weekend !! Thank goodness it has finally arrived.

I have come to write on my blog to share with you a new product that I have tried and one that I really recommend you on trying.

I recently received my May Lip Monthly Bag (a video on that  will be out NEXT WEDNESDAY so stay tuned!!!) and found this item – The Jor’El Parker Fango Mud Therapy –  in the bag.

I never had heard of this brand or product so I was intrigued to try it out. And so I did without reading any reviews on the product !!

It comes in this orange tub, I probably got the sample size of it and it retails for $10. You could use this on your face and body. It comes in this thick texture and dark green colour. It smells very minty if you ask me. You apply this to your face or body and you leave it do its job for around 5 minutes. After which you rinse it thoroughly.

It is full of these amazing ingredients:

  1. Sweet Almond Oil
  2. Avocado Oil
  3. Green Tea Antioxidants
  4. Volcanic Ash Minerals

And all these different ingredients serves for a purpose.

  • It claims to protect your skin from harmful substances caused by the free radicals and pollutants found in the environment we live and breath in.
  • Intensely moisturises with a hydrating blend of Sweet Almond Oil.
  • Softly rejuvenates with anti-aging Green Tea Antioxidants.
  • Gently exfoliates with Volcanic Ash Minerals.
  • Minimises pores, reduces fine lines and deep cleanses. (This point made me more curious to try it out!)
  • Decreases dark circles and reverses sun damage.
  • Purifies to bring out your body’s natural luster and tone.

IMG_3159

So I tried out this product twice already and I love the effect that this leaves on my skin.

First thing I noticed you really do feel the product going into your skin and reaching its deepest points because I felt my skin was like on botox after the five minutes were up.

But once I rinsed off the mask I felt my face so fresh and well cleansed.

I wanted to try this out mostly because I have been getting nasty pores round my nose and cheek area. And also my nose was sunburnt from having supervision over the kids at work. (Not my kids haha because I work with children at a school)

So once I rinsed it off, the sunburn and redness on my nose decreased a little and seemed like my skin was nice and freshened up.

13287924_10208203183529939_1813416898_o.jpg
As you can see you will know once it has fully cleansed your skin – it changes to a lighter shade.

As for minimising pores I guess it does but do not expect miracles of course.

I guess I like the idea it has such natural products and I will be using this until I finish it. But then I will not be looking to buy it again simply because I never saw this in Malta haha!

Anyways I hope you loved reading this. Remember a new video will be up on Wednesday showing you what I got in my May Lip Monthly bag.

Happy weekend!!

Love Kezzie
