7th Heaven – Dead Sea Mud Mask – Review

Hi everyone,

A few weeks ago I did a blog post all about 7th Heaven and spoke about the Manuka Honey Peel off mask. You can check it out right here.

Today, I shall be talking about the Dead Sea Mud Mask.

Unlike the other mask I tried, this was a Mud Mask which meant that it was going to be messier than peel off masks. But, I wasn’t disappointed by the end result that it left me with.

Minerals found in the Dead Sea help clean our impurities and open blocked pores for cleaner and softer skin. So I am all about unblocking those pores and getting rid of them!

The main ingredients found in this Mud Mask were –

Dead Sea Salt –

A mineral found in the Dead Sea. Dead sea minerals leave our skin feeling relaxed and nourished. I have tried multiple products from Arad which had it’s main ingredients from the Dead Sea. And I loved using their products, they did help my skin become cleaner.

The nutrients from the Dead Sea in this face mask help cleanse our pores, moisturise our skin and draw out any impurities, dirt and grime that we end up with because of today’s modern lifestyle.

Sea Kelp and Seaweed –

These are, “large algae which grow in the seas and oceans around the world, or on rocks below the high-water mark.” Seaweed is, “high in nutrients, is a fantastic detox agent and could even improve the health of your heart. This slimy green plant could be a vital part of your beauty regime.”

The Seaweed and Sea Kelp in the face mask helps with moisturising our skin, “whilst fighting the signs of aging, helping you banish those wrinkles for good.” It can also be seen as a natural exfoliant, and helps with washing away the dead skin cells to leave your skin, “feeling fresh, clean and renewed.”

Lavender –

Lavender is commonly used to treat skin disorders such as acne, wrinkles, psoriasis (which I am accustomed to!) and other inflammatory conditions.

Mud masks in general help with your daily cleansing routine in keeping your skin “super clean” and “less prone to blemishes and uneven skin tones.”

My thoughts –

I applied the Mud Mask after having cleansed my face with my Vichy Normaderm Facial Cleansing Gel.

I then applied the mask on a dry face using a flat foundation brush. I left the mask on for approximately 45 minutes. I KNOW I should have only left the mask on for 15 minutes as that it what it states I should do but it felt so cooling on my face I just wanted to leave it on. That and I was watching an episode of Saving Hope that I couldn’t pause it until it was finished!

But I really love how it left my skin looking so clean and so smooth. Throughout the day I felt my skin feeling refreshed and healthier. I do really recommend this mask and I prefer this one over the Honey Peel off that I tried before!

Arad – Facial Scrub – Review

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all having a lovely Sunday. The weather in Malta looks bliss!!

Today’s blog post is all about another post on an Arad product! As you know if you have been on my blog for quite a while, I have been posting reviews about Arad products!

If you haven’t seen them already be sure to check them out, here are just a few –

Today is all about this Facial Scrub that I have been trying out for 2-3 months. I do not use it every day but I use it in conjunction with my Vichy Cleanser to regulate my acne prone skin. And since the Vichy Cleanser was recommended by my dermatologist I could not stop using it completely.

So what I have been doing is switching the two everyday and I found that this worked. I guess in the end you just have to simply experiment and see what products work out for you. Therefore, this may have worked out for me but it may not work out for you if you have acne.

So what is this Arad Facial Scrub?

This scrub is formulated with ‘Dead Sea Mud‘ and ‘Natural scrubbing particles‘ to help with cleanse your skin and pores and help in ‘rejuvenating the look of the skin.’

It contains ‘Bees Wax‘ and ‘plant extracts’ which act as ‘skin conditioners‘ to help ‘sooth and calm the skin.’

How to apply it –

Rinse your face as normal, then with your fingertips apply the scrub in circular motions all over your face and avoiding the eye area; do this for one minute or so. Then gentle rinse off.

You could then apply the Arad Day Moisturiser and the Arad Night Cream after. The moisturiser I use is the Arad Hydro Light Moisturizer for Oily Skin.

My thoughts –

What I like about this scrub is that it isn’t too messy. Even though it has these tiny particles which annoy me, they are easily rinsed off. These particles are the ‘Apricot Seeds‘ which helps in cleansing pores.

Now since I have been using this for a while, I have noticed that my pores are getting slightly smaller. They do not disappear so don’t expect magic. However, they have decreased in size; that makes Kezia very happy!

The scrub makes my skin feel soft and smooth and cleanses my skin thoroughly!

If you are Maltese like me, you can visit Arad Dead Sea Malta’s Facebook Page for more information.

Have you ever tried this product or any other product from Arad? What are your thoughts? If you haven’t, are you intrigued of doing so?

Thank you so much for reading!

Happy Sunday!

Jor’El Parker Fango Mud Therapy Review

Hi everyone,

Hope you all are having a lovely weekend !! Thank goodness it has finally arrived.

I have come to write on my blog to share with you a new product that I have tried and one that I really recommend you on trying.

I recently received my May Lip Monthly Bag (a video on that  will be out NEXT WEDNESDAY so stay tuned!!!) and found this item – The Jor’El Parker Fango Mud Therapy –  in the bag.

I never had heard of this brand or product so I was intrigued to try it out. And so I did without reading any reviews on the product !!

It comes in this orange tub, I probably got the sample size of it and it retails for $10. You could use this on your face and body. It comes in this thick texture and dark green colour. It smells very minty if you ask me. You apply this to your face or body and you leave it do its job for around 5 minutes. After which you rinse it thoroughly.

It is full of these amazing ingredients:

  1. Sweet Almond Oil
  2. Avocado Oil
  3. Green Tea Antioxidants
  4. Volcanic Ash Minerals

And all these different ingredients serves for a purpose.

  • It claims to protect your skin from harmful substances caused by the free radicals and pollutants found in the environment we live and breath in.
  • Intensely moisturises with a hydrating blend of Sweet Almond Oil.
  • Softly rejuvenates with anti-aging Green Tea Antioxidants.
  • Gently exfoliates with Volcanic Ash Minerals.
  • Minimises pores, reduces fine lines and deep cleanses. (This point made me more curious to try it out!)
  • Decreases dark circles and reverses sun damage.
  • Purifies to bring out your body’s natural luster and tone.

So I tried out this product twice already and I love the effect that this leaves on my skin.

First thing I noticed you really do feel the product going into your skin and reaching its deepest points because I felt my skin was like on botox after the five minutes were up.

But once I rinsed off the mask I felt my face so fresh and well cleansed.

I wanted to try this out mostly because I have been getting nasty pores round my nose and cheek area. And also my nose was sunburnt from having supervision over the kids at work. (Not my kids haha because I work with children at a school)

So once I rinsed it off, the sunburn and redness on my nose decreased a little and seemed like my skin was nice and freshened up.

As you can see you will know once it has fully cleansed your skin – it changes to a lighter shade.

As for minimising pores I guess it does but do not expect miracles of course.

I guess I like the idea it has such natural products and I will be using this until I finish it. But then I will not be looking to buy it again simply because I never saw this in Malta haha!

Anyways I hope you loved reading this. Remember a new video will be up on Wednesday showing you what I got in my May Lip Monthly bag.

Happy weekend!!

Love Kezzie
