My blog post is all about Essence. I created this look using ONLY ESSENCE products. Ever since I started buying makeup, the first brand I ever bought from was Essence. Yes it was the cheapest and the only brand I could afford back when I was 15 and I started playing around with makeup!!

Here are the products used –

Essence Instant Makeup Foundation

This foundation claims to last for 18 hours, it is said to be super long lasting and contains mineral powder. It is a matt foundation and mine is in the shade 10 matt ivory.

IMG_1764.JPG

Do I think that it lasts all day? No, but I like the formula of it and I love using it as my foundation for my ‘school makeup looks’.

Essence Colour Correcting Liquid Concealer

I got all three shades and each shade has a different purpose.

IMG_1765.JPG

IMG_1766

Green- neutralises redness

Pink – visibly brightens tired looking skin – gives you a ‘wake up effect’

Yellow – conceals dark circles

For this look I only used the Yellow Shade. As you can see from the photo it did crease a little and make sure to not use a lot of the product.

Essence 2 in 1 Highlighting and Contouring Stick for lighter skin in shade 10 blondie

IMG_1769

IMG_1770

I am no expert when it comes to contouring, so I have no idea if I did it right. What I can tell you is that it blended nicely into my skin. The highlight shade of it was not visible, but the contour shade I liked.

Essence All about matt! Fixing compact powder

IMG_1767

I love this powder and this is one powder I have heard a lot about! I love using it to set my under eye concealer and I only apply a little to set the rest of my face. I like matte finishes although now I am kind of wanting more of that glow-y skin. But my skin has a lot of imperfections and am still working on how I could possibly get the glow-y effect.

Essence Make me Brow Duo Eyebrow Powder

IMG_1774

I loved this eye brow powder to fill in my brows. It is so natural and so easy to use. Gently tap an eyebrow brush into the product and fill in your brows. There are two shades and what I do is I apply the lighter shade in the inner part of my brow whilst the outer part I use the darker shade.

Essence make me brow eyebrow gel mascara

IMG_1776

I love using this brow gel to set my brows. I don’t have anything else to say about this apart from saying how much I love this product!

IMG_1726.JPG

Essence The Cushion Eyeliner

IMG_1778

This replaced the gel eyeliner I used to use also from Essence. I love using this eyeliner to create a cat eye or a simple lined look as in the case of today’s look. It is just so pigmented, it doesn’t smudge or transfer and is so easy to apply!

Essence Volume Stylist 18 hr Curl and Hold Mascara with Micro Styling Waxes

IMG_1781

If you don’t already know, I LOVE Essence mascaras and this has been a new favourite of mine to replace the Lash Princess. And you guys know how much I and everyone else loved that mascara! This one has micro styling waxes which elongate the lashes more, gives them more volume and separates them so well!

Essence Luminous Matt Bronzing Powder for lighter skin in shade 01 Sunshine

IMG_1782

This is just a lovely and natural bronzer. I don’t know if it picked up on camera but it just isn’t too heavy and perfect for an everyday makeup look.

Essence Pure Nude Highlighter shade 10 Be my highlight

IMG_1783

IMG_1785

I love this highlight and I got to know about this from Kathleen Lights. Again it doesn’t pick that much on camera but it is a gorgeous natural looking highlight!

IMG_1734.JPG

Essence Matt Matt Matt lipstick in shade 06 Kiss me if you can

IMG_1786

IMG_1787

I love this lipstick brand, I think it is one of the best lipstick ranges that they have out of all the Essence Lipsticks. It lasts all day, it isn’t drying and it is so pigmented! There are so many colours to choose from, so I am sure that you will definitely find a shade for you!

Shimmery Makeup Tutorial ft. Born Pretty Store

Hi everyone,

Today’s blog post is all about a Shimmery Makeup Look I created thanks to some products from Born Pretty Store.

Screen Shot 2017-08-31 at 09.03.21

Born Pretty Store is a website that sells a variety of products, from makeup to nail items and mobile accessories etc. I have made previous videos & blog posts about their website and you can check them out right here –

I also have a 10% DISCOUNT CODE that you could use at checkout and on non sale items – KEZZH10

I would like to thank Born Pretty Store for giving me yet another opportunity to collaborate with them!

The products I reviewed this time from their website were –

2 Piece Face Brush Set

IMG_0484

These retail for $2.59. I found that these brushes are a little small to apply any foundation or powder. I tried blending out my concealer which I liked how they blended it for me. And I also tried applying bronzer and highlight with them.

However, I didn’t get the finished effect I usually get with my other products. The highlight applied better than the bronzer but I think that these brushes look really cute on your vanity with their rhinestone packaging.

6 Piece Gradient Rainbow Unicorn Colorful Handle Eye Makeup Eyeshadow Brushes Set

IMG_0483

This retails for $3.99. I think these brushes are so cutely decorated with that perfect unicorn print. You get a brush for your brows, eyeliner, 2 flat brushes, a crease brush and a pointed brush perfect for the inner corner.

I loved these brushes more than the other face brushes of before. I found that the brow brush and eyeliner one applied the products well. There is no proper blending brush in this set however the flat brushes are great to work with. Overall I think you can get good use out of them and they are so cute too!

1Pc Glow Shimmer Liquid Highlighter

21267648_10212406859699216_1733171655_o

This retails for $2.59. I applied this not as a highlight but as my base colour on my eye look. So I applied it using the flat brush from the unicorn brush set.

I felt that this product was a little patchy when applied and took a little long to dry. However, I loved the finished effect and how it made my eye look pop even more!

1 Pair Handmade False Eyelash Black Long Thick Curly Artificial Eyelash

IMG_0486

These retail for $2.99. I found that these lashes were so easy to work with. The packaging they came in was really practical too.

I love how these applied and that they had a natural effect to them. They lasted long and when I applied mascara on them so to blend my real lashes with them, they stayed on really well. These are my favourite eye lashes that I have tried from born pretty store for sure!

Missy Young Fashion Matte Liquid Lipstick in Shade 5

21268100_10212406859219204_1966671031_o

This retails for $2.59. I loved the colour of this lipstick, it’s such a lovely deep pink shade. I love how it applied, it wasn’t patchy or flakey and it dried down to a complete matte finish.

I tried the kiss proof test, and the lipstick didn’t transfer. For only $2.59 I think these lipsticks are such a bargain!

The final look –

Testing PRIMARK Makeup – FULL FACE Makeup Look

Hi everyone,

IMG_0065

This week I uploaded a video all about Primark Makeup. Back in April I picked up some products in the hopes of making a video and a blog post like this … so here goes!

You can watch the video right here of me applying Primark makeup and you can see all my first reactions of the products too.

Now I shall be writing a little about each of these products, after having tried them on other occasions and saw how long they lasted.

Products I bought –
Primark Liquid Foundation –  Shade – Cool Sand – £2.50

IMG_0098

I did not like the smell of this foundation, it reminded me of sunscreen. It is a very water based formula and applies well with a foundation brush. If your skin is not prepped well then this foundation will bring out your pores so much and create cake face.

IMG_9948

It states that it is a medium coverage foundation. I find that to not be true, I believe it is more of a light coverage. It is an oil free formula and it dries to a semi matte finish. After having applied this product more than once, I have noticed that when it dries to the point it can, it still leaves my face feeling sticky. Nothing some powder cannot fix, but still that’s a point I wanted to share.

Was it worth the £2.50 overall? Meh, but I prefer this than the stick foundation.
Primark Foundation Stick – Shade – Sand – £2

IMG_0083

IMG_0084

I got this in the WRONG shade. But funnily enough it blended nicely on the skin and it didn’t look that dark on me, as you can see in the video. It’s texture is quite thick, so you need to blend it well or else it will look so cakey on the skin.
Primark Stick Concealer – Shade – Ivory – £0.90

IMG_0096

For only 90p I LOVED this concealer. I think it blended nicely, even though my under eye lines were still a little visible. But it settled nicely and lasted long too. I mean for only 90p I would say it’s a good enough result.
Primark Mattifying Pressed Powder – Shade – Sand – £2

IMG_0068

IMG_0070

At first I thought that this powder wasn’t going to blend well into the skin but after using my brush and brushing it into my skin, it blended well. I liked the after effect that this powder gave on my skin and after using this product it did not leave my skin feeling sticky.

I think it’s a good enough powder for only £2!
Primark Bronze Glow Bronzing Powder – Sundipped – £2

IMG_0080

IMG_0081

I love this bronzer, I have used it multiple times since I filmed this video. It is a lovely chalky brown, very natural and settles so nicely onto the skin.

I have enjoyed using this to create a sunkissed look.
Primark Strobe and Glow Cream Highlighting Palette£4

IMG_0085

IMG_0086

So the formula of this product is quite water-y and sticky … maybe Kylie Jenner stole the idea from Primark when she created her Wet Set of highlighters? I don’t know as I don’t have that Wet Set but this highlighting palette reminded me of that.

IMG_0087

Besides the formula, I liked how the highlights stayed on my skin. They aren’t that pigmented so you would need to go back and forth to create the highlight that you crave. But I like the effect of these highlights. Do I think it was worth £4 from Primark? No.
Primark PRO Tight Lining Pen£3

IMG_0092

IMG_0091

This was a FAIL and it was £3! I tried tight lining with it and nothing comes out. It’s so strange as when I swatch the pencil on my hand, the product comes out and there’s a lovely black line but then when I come to using it on my eyes … NOTHING.

IMG_0093

I tried creating a cat eye look, shaking it, pressing when I applied it but still not enough product was coming out. Therefore, this is such a FAIL!!

Primark Volumising Mascara£1

IMG_0088

IMG_0090

I love this mascara. It doesn’t add volume to my lashes but it does lengthen them and separates them really well. And it lasts long and the product does not transfer on my lids! For only a POUND this product is GREAT!
Primark Lip Liner Pencil£1 in Desert Sand

IMG_0094

IMG_0095

I love the shade this lip liner comes in. It’s a cute peachy pink. It applies really well and lasts long on the lips. It isn’t that patchy and it isn’t drying as well. Again, for a pound I think this product passed my test.

IMG_9950
Primark Long Lasting Lipstick £2.50

IMG_0072

IMG_0075

I don’t know what the name of this shade of the lipstick I got is but I like the colour. It is a purple pink dark shade. It isn’t patchy and the colour applies well. The shape of the bullet lipstick made it easier to apply on my lips.

It didn’t last long as I had to retouch it throughout the day but I don’t hate it. Would I buy it again? I don’t think so as you can find other options from the drugstore.

Those were the products I tried and here is the finished makeup look that I created during the video –

IMG_9972

Overall, Primark makeup are packaged so nicely, and some items are hits whilst others are total fails. I quite enjoyed testing these out and I guess we all wanna save a little.

IMG_0066

In my opinion you should try and get yourselves to Primark, if you live in the UK or anywhere else that has Primark; and try out their range of makeup. You might be surprised what you can find at such a little price!

Have you ever tried any makeup from Primark? What are your thoughts? Comment down below!!

Testing Out Born Pretty Store Cheap Makeup!

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all doing well! When finishing the school/work year, the last week is all so tiring especially with the weather resembling a hot summer days! Therefore, apologies for not blogging too often as I normally tend to.

Yesterday, I uploaded a new video all about 5 recent Bornprettystore makeup products. And I would like to share them on blog too!

Don’t forget that I have a 10% discount code you can use at CHECKOUT – Simply enter – KEZZH10 – this code can only be used on non-sale items.

IMG_9869

Born Pretty Store is a website that sells relatively cheap makeup. It sells makeup, nail products, accessories and many more things. So be sure to browse around the website!

You can CLICK HERE to view a previous blog post where I tried makeup from this website for the very first time!

Here are the 5 products that I tried out –

Silicone Sponge Pattern 1

Now I have never tried these types of Silicone applicators before and so this was my first time trying it out. I found that all it did was place my makeup in blotches all around my face. It didn’t perform any blending of any kind either. I had to go in with a foundation brush to blend my foundation.

So I wouldn’t recommend this product. However, maybe I didn’t use it right?

IMG_9876

Sponge HolderLight pink

Ever wanted your beauty blender to be placed in an egg cup as an egg would be placed when eaten as a boiled egg? Well, you can look no further as this is the perfect beauty blender or any type of blender holder that you can find. It makes a cute room decor too!

False Lashes

IMG_9872

Now I am not the best of applying lashes and these are quite a hefty pair of lashes as they slightly weigh more than your natural looking fake lashes. So I am not going to lie and say that I managed to stick the lashes on my first try. I think it was the forth time that I managed to finally put them on right!

Was it worth it? Yes! The look they gave was nothing like the look I usually go for however, it is nice to sometimes jump out of your comfort zone and try out new things!

I honestly love them and think that you should definitely give these a shot!

Rainbow Highlighter

IMG_9873

Something else that I had never tried before is a Rainbow Highlighter. I went for it but I didn’t like the end result. The blue, purple and green I didn’t understand what made them a highlight? But the last two colours I get!

The orange and the pink do create a lovely highlight. This highlight is also covered in glitters so if you are not a glitter fan, be aware!
Matte liquid lipstick – Shade 9

IMG_9881

The last time I tried BornPrettyStore makeup I had tried a Matte Lipstick from the same formula and collection that this came from. I prefer this red colour to the dark purple that I tried last time! This is such a gorgeous, red matte lipstick and it just sits on my lips ever so well! It isn’t sticky or drying and doesn’t transfer either!

I truly recommend this collection and this colour!

19403576_10211749183177714_1813664379_o

And those were the products I tried out.
