Blogmas Day 7 – Favourite Christmas Memory

Hi everyone,

How are you all doing? I hope everyone is doing amazingly! It’s Friday, which means we all deserve a break, so I wish you all an amazing weekend!

Today’s Blogmas I reckoned I would write a little and share with you all my Favourite Christmas Memory. But I would love to hear yours too! So don’t forget to share that with me in the comments down below!

My favourite Christmas memory goes back a couple of years, to when I was around 8 I would say. And my brother was  4. It had just turned 6am and I immediately open my eyes with that bubble of excitement and my brother awakes with me! We had left the milk and cookies for father christmas the night before as well as some carrots for his reindeers. We dash off to the sitting room which is were our Christmas Tree is and what we see was just like in the movies. The light was lit, there were presents under the tree that were not there last night and the milk and cookies where gone!

But then we noticed socks hanging on the light that was hanging on the ceiling and the carrots were half eaten, with the pieces that weren’t touched all thrown around our sitting room and hall. To which then we realised something odd, something that wasn’t there before we fell asleep. . . it’s something which when I look back I laugh and just know how much my parents love us and how much they are willing to do for us to keep us happy!

My brother and I noticed … poop! That’s right POOP on our floor, and we were potty trained ok so it wasn’t one of us and we didn’t have pets at home! I put two and two together being one who believed in Santa and said that that was santa’s reindeers poop! We go running into my parents room and just yell about the poop that was left. What’s funny is that we didn’t touch the presents but rather were mesmerised by the poop!

If you believe in Santa, don’t keep on reading from here!!!

Later on, as the years went by I had asked my mother of where that came from and she told me how she stayed carrying it from where she kept a horse that she had back then, little did I know then that the poop I had seen was Serenade’s poop instead of the reindeers as I had easily believed!

And that’s my favourite Christmas memory that I share with my family. But apart from that I just loved Christmas growing up, we had our family christmas lunch and our traditions of going to mass together and seeing all of our family. As the years went by, and some people unfortunately left us, these traditions slowly diminished. But I guess each year we try to build new memories and new traditions and I am always forever grateful of my amazing parents who made my brother and my childhood as amazing as can be! Love you mum and dad even though they probably don’t read my blog posts nor do they know I have this blog!

So yeah, today was a bit different, I kind of shared something close to my heart! I hope you can find the comfort in sharing with me and everyone here on my blog, your favourite christmas memory!!

Thank you so much for reading and for all your amazing support!

Love Kezia

xoxo
