Hi everyone,

We are each sharing a blog post every day for this week and we are also hosting a giveaway where a person will win the Naked Heat Palette from Urban Decay!!! Visit my FACEBOOK PAGE for more information.
My blog post is all about Essence. I created this look using ONLY ESSENCE products. Ever since I started buying makeup, the first brand I ever bought from was Essence. Yes it was the cheapest and the only brand I could afford back when I was 15 and I started playing around with makeup!!
Here are the products used –
Essence Instant Makeup Foundation
This foundation claims to last for 18 hours, it is said to be super long lasting and contains mineral powder. It is a matt foundation and mine is in the shade 10 matt ivory.
Do I think that it lasts all day? No, but I like the formula of it and I love using it as my foundation for my ‘school makeup looks’.
Essence Colour Correcting Liquid Concealer
I got all three shades and each shade has a different purpose.
Green- neutralises redness
Pink – visibly brightens tired looking skin – gives you a ‘wake up effect’
Yellow – conceals dark circles
For this look I only used the Yellow Shade. As you can see from the photo it did crease a little and make sure to not use a lot of the product.
Essence 2 in 1 Highlighting and Contouring Stick for lighter skin in shade 10 blondie
I am no expert when it comes to contouring, so I have no idea if I did it right. What I can tell you is that it blended nicely into my skin. The highlight shade of it was not visible, but the contour shade I liked.
Essence All about matt! Fixing compact powder
I love this powder and this is one powder I have heard a lot about! I love using it to set my under eye concealer and I only apply a little to set the rest of my face. I like matte finishes although now I am kind of wanting more of that glow-y skin. But my skin has a lot of imperfections and am still working on how I could possibly get the glow-y effect.
Essence Make me Brow Duo Eyebrow Powder
I loved this eye brow powder to fill in my brows. It is so natural and so easy to use. Gently tap an eyebrow brush into the product and fill in your brows. There are two shades and what I do is I apply the lighter shade in the inner part of my brow whilst the outer part I use the darker shade.
Essence make me brow eyebrow gel mascara
I love using this brow gel to set my brows. I don’t have anything else to say about this apart from saying how much I love this product!
Essence The Cushion Eyeliner
This replaced the gel eyeliner I used to use also from Essence. I love using this eyeliner to create a cat eye or a simple lined look as in the case of today’s look. It is just so pigmented, it doesn’t smudge or transfer and is so easy to apply!
Essence Volume Stylist 18 hr Curl and Hold Mascara with Micro Styling Waxes
If you don’t already know, I LOVE Essence mascaras and this has been a new favourite of mine to replace the Lash Princess. And you guys know how much I and everyone else loved that mascara! This one has micro styling waxes which elongate the lashes more, gives them more volume and separates them so well!
Essence Luminous Matt Bronzing Powder for lighter skin in shade 01 Sunshine
This is just a lovely and natural bronzer. I don’t know if it picked up on camera but it just isn’t too heavy and perfect for an everyday makeup look.
Essence Pure Nude Highlighter shade 10 Be my highlight
I love this highlight and I got to know about this from Kathleen Lights. Again it doesn’t pick that much on camera but it is a gorgeous natural looking highlight!
Essence Matt Matt Matt lipstick in shade 06 Kiss me if you can
I love this lipstick brand, I think it is one of the best lipstick ranges that they have out of all the Essence Lipsticks. It lasts all day, it isn’t drying and it is so pigmented! There are so many colours to choose from, so I am sure that you will definitely find a shade for you!
And that was my take on a one brand makeup look. Don’t forget to check out my FACEBOOK PAGE to enter our #endofsummercollab GIVEAWAY!!
