I hope you are all doing great!
Today’s blog post is all about the Tea Tree Oil range by Chi. A big thanks goes to Chi Malta for giving me this lovely opportunity of trying out these products and sharing them with you all!
I have been using these products for nearly 3 months now. I have psoriasis on my scalp which is a condition that leaves my scalp all itchy and flakey! But this hair range has helped in soothing my scalp without leaving my hair dry and boring; as that is what happens when I use psoriasis appropriate shampoos.
This is a shampoo that you can use if you have psoriasis as in my case it didn’t give me any reactions after having used the products. I also use the Tea Tree Hair range with other Chi products such as the Kardashian Beauty line and the Rose Hip Oil Range (a review on these products will be coming out soon too!)
All the Tea Tree Oil products are Tea Tree scented – therefore if you are not a fan of that scent I wouldn’t recommend. However, for me it doesn’t bother me, in fact I have grown to like the scent as I have not always been a fan. Also all products are Paraben Free.
Tea Tree Oil – Shampoo
The shampoo gently cleanses your scalp and helps in ‘removing any impurities’ whilst balancing oils in the scalp and strengthening the hair. I apply the shampoo first of course by using a small amount and using my palms to distribute it evenly though my damp hair. I than leave it sit for a bit before rinsing it off with lukewarm water.
I really do believe that it has helped my hair grow and not remain the same exact length. Yes it is a slow growth process but I have noticed that my hair is growing faster than it usually does when using other hair products.
Of course I cannot say that it is only thanks to the Tea Tree Oil hair range that is making hair growth happen, because as I said before I use other Chi products; because what I do is use the Tea Tree Oil range three times and then use either the Kardashian Beauty or Rose Hip Oil range the following wash after.
Tea Tree Oil – Revitalizing Masque
I almost have finished this product and I hope I am not using more than I should! This masque is filled with ‘rich conditioning ingredients’ and helps to provide moisture to the hair and ‘restores vitality’.
I use this after rinsing off the shampoo and apply this only from the middle parts of my hair to the ends. I leave it sit for around 5-10 minutes and then rinse with cool water.
I notice that when I don’t apply the masque, my hair isn’t as soft as when I would have applied it. It also helps in having knot free hair.
Tea Tree Oil – Conditioner
The conditioner helps to add moisture and nourishes the hair. It is a soothing agent and is quite a ‘lightweight conditioner’. I apply this after I have rinsed off the masque.
I use a small amount and use my palms of my hands to distribute evenly from the middle sections of my hair to ends. I personally do not use this on my scalp. I then leave it to sit for 3-5 minutes and rinse with warm water.
What I like doing is I take my detangler brush with me in the shower and before applying my conditioner I gently brush my hair and then apply my conditioner. I do this so if I have any knots I detangle them.
I find that this helps me once I am out of the shower as my hair tends to get knotted easily. After having come out of the shower I use my brush again to brush my hair. Since I already have brushed it beforehand it isn’t as knotty as it would have been if I skipped the brushing step in the shower!
Chi Tea Tree Oil – Serum
After having brushed my hair I apply a small amount of this serum. You can apply this on wet or dry hair.
This serum is made up of Tea Tree and Peppermint. It includes essential nutrients for ‘silky, smooth and healthy looking hair’ whilst also having ‘UV and thermal protection’.
After applying all these products I dry my hair with a hair dryer or leave it to dry on its own. The result is soft, silky, smooth, healthy and knot free hair. I find that my hair gets a bit dry on the third day after having used the Tea Tree Oil range.
And finally, thanks to Chi Malta I was also given to test out the –
Chi Tea Tree Oil – Soothing Scalp Spray
If I feel my scalp itching in any way I use this soothing scalp spray. It helps in ‘relieving the itching or irritation’. i simply spray where the itching is occurring and leave it sit and not rinse.
The itching sensation usually subsides after a few minutes. I do not tend to reach for this product a lot.
I really hope you enjoyed reading my blog post! Have you ever tried out any of these products by Chi? Or maybe others?
Thank you so much for reading!
