Hi Makeup Lovers,
How are you all doing? June has arrived, and with June here Malta has gotten a lot of sun and a lot of heat.
But since May has passed I thought why not do a blog post all about my May 2017 favourites. I have been trying out some of these products for a while now, some have been at me longer than others. But anyways, here we go …
#1 Benefit – The POREfessional Face Primer
So as you know, I attended Fashion Week in Malta last week, and this basically saved me! It is quite a heavy formula and very creamy but it does the job of hiding those yucky pores I so hate!
#2 Urban Decay – All Nighter Liquid Foundation
Yes, this is quite a heavy foundation, but I really like how it sits and stays on my skin. It has a high coverage formula and just blends on nicely. I love applying this foundation with my Beauty Blender.
#3 NYX HD Photogenic Concealer
I love this concealer and have it in 2 shades. The shade I had been using mostly in May was CW 04 – Beige. I love using this shade to cover up my blemishes and any redness I would be having!
#4 Rimmel – Match Perfection Loose Powder – Translucent
I love using this powder to bake my under eye concealer. It just sets it so nicely and doesn’t get creased throughout the day. Mine has been at me for a few months now and the tub has gotten all messy! So maybe if this was in a better form of packaging I would love it even more!
#5 Anastasia Beverly Hills – Nicole Gurriero Glow Kit
I love this highlighting palette, I had saved up for it and was so happy once it had arrived. It includes six gorgeous shades, and wouldn’t change it for anything. When I am going out for a special occasion I always whip this out! My favourite shades are Glo Getter and Day Dream.
#6 Violet Voss – Holy Grail Eyeshadow Palette
This is the last makeup product I bought and for now will not be buying more… I hope. But I had been saving up for it for a while and I finally got it. I was either going to buy this one or the HUDA beauty one but decided for this one. The pigmentation of these shadows is amazing and they blend so nicely. I love the colour choice in this palette, you can create so many different looks!
However, I do have one sad thing to say – I thought the packaging would be more of high end quality, instead it is quite bulky and for the price you pay I was a little bit disappointed by the box.
#7 BH Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick – Glory
This is the perfect red shade! I love it and I love the formula of the BH Cosmetics Liquid Lipsticks. They literally last all day and they won’t go anywhere! In fact when removing them I turn into a clown because they really just stay there on the lips!
#8 Urban Decay – All Nighter Setting Spray
Last week I needed my makeup to not run anywhere, I needed it to remain the way when I finished doing my makeup. And this is the product to keep any makeup going somewhere! I love this, it doesn’t have a scent and it settles nicely on the skin!
Those were my May 2017 favourites!
Have you tried any of these products?
What were your May favourites? I would love to know!
So a few weeks ago I was invited to a launch event by VJ Salomone. The launch event was all about Thalgo, a brand from Paris which has recently been relaunched in Malta. (Visit Thalgo Malta’s Facebook Page) It consists of a collection of luxurious products for the face and the body.
The launch was dedicated to a new skincare range called Prodige Des Océans. At the launch the cream and mask were discussed. As well as the Face and Body ritual which is a 2 hour treatment to achieve total youthfulness and absolute relaxation.
Thalgo found the ocean as the key component of their brand. The ocean holds several revitalising active ingredients that are easily absorbed by the skin. It took Thalgo four years of research to select the THREE main active sources with a high concentration of marine nutrients and to help with regenerating youthfulness and contains boosting properties.
Thalgo took the three active sources – Bioactive Seawater, Native Maritime Cells and a Multicellular Alga and extracted an active ingredient –
The Intelligence Marine Régénérative
This contains 63 marine nutrients that are patented by Thalgo that all reactivate 64 proteins which coincide to youthful looking skin.
In fact people who have used products from the Prodige Des Océans brand have confirmed that after 48 hours of using these products, correction of wrinkles, firmness, dryness, complexion and blemishes were noted.
Prodige Des Océans – The Cream –
For whom is this?
For all women, whatever their age or skin type, wishing to regain perfect skin.
This contains the most effective youthful boosting ingredients for a very luxurious formula. Of course these products retail at a very high price. Besides having the Intelligence Marine Régénérative, the cream also contains two plumping and smoothing hyaluronic acids, an extract of algae and an essential sugar. These all help to achieve total youthfulness revitalisation and helps with protection of the skin.
The cream helps reduce wrinkles and redefine features. The creams blends into the epidermis and helps to achieve total comfort and a soft finish.
You could use this cream at day or night. Simply apply to the face and neck, working gently upwards and downwards and avoiding the eye area.
Prodige Des Océans – The Mask
For whom is this?
For all women, whatever their age or skin type, wishing to regain perfect skin.
This includes a revolutionary active ingredient – 3D Pure Oxygen Vector – with Hyaluronic Acid microspheres and Intelligence Marine Régénérative.
The Oxygen Vector helps improve the clarity in your complexion.
It has quite a foamy looking texture. Simply apply this all over your face avoiding the eye are and leave on for 5 minutes. This can be used twice a week. Or if you have tired or devitalised skin, then you can leave the mask on overnight for an intense infusion effect. The skin is replumped and reveals an incomparable radiance. Wrinkles are smoothed and features look smoother and softer.
My Thoughts –
When I attended the event they ever so kindly gave us this cute jewellery box. And a sample of the cream for the face and for the body and what I was so happy about is they gave us the mask too!
Left photo – with the mask one Right photo – after rinsing off the mask
I was so excited to try them out! I have tried the mask for nearly a month now, only applying it once a week. The first time I tried it, after rinsing it off, my skin felt so smooth, soft and plump. You could notice that it did cleanse your skin and detoxify it. My pores were so visible after having rinsed off the mask – therefore the mask really got deep into the skin. I also never use that much product – I guess I am trying to save it as much as possible and not use it up all at once.
I have applied the cream fewer times for both the face and the body. But when I did use it, even just applying it, the cream was doing its job as I felt immediate results. The cream left my skin feeling so refreshed and soft.
My skin is very sensitive but I did not have any bad reactions to the products. After all the products do come from the ocean – the most natural being.
Thank you goes to both Thalgo representatives who gave us an in-depth presentation at the Launch Event as well as thanks to VJ Salomone for the invite.
I hope you enjoyed reading all about Thalgo’s recent skin care range. I had never heard about Thalgo but I am glad I did.
Have you ever tried out their products?

Hope you are all having a lovely Sunday!
Since summer is quickly approaching and the days were our cars are all cool whilst being parked while we are doing errands are over; we will need something to keep our cars from the inside feel a little bit refreshing when driving back home.
Now I know there are more cars with working AC’s on however, mine is a little bit of an oldy and so I haven’t got an ac in my car. Therefore, having a car perfume oil diffuser helps just a little.
I was approached by DiCent by Mz Flo and was asked to try out one of her car perfume oil diffusers. She has plenty of scents available for both men and women. Here are the scents being offered to us ladies –
#D&G – L’IMPERATRICE
#5 #CHLOE – LOVE STORY
#EUPHORIA CALVIN KLEIN
#VERSACE YELLOW DIAMOND
#BLACK OPIUM YSL
#LADY 1 MILLION
There are also His and Hers gift sets for you to order – perfect for a present idea.
The prices are reasonable and you can visit their website – http://www.dicentbymzflo.com/
Or you can even purchase them through ebay – http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/dicent_bymzflo
or their facebook page – https://m.facebook.com/DiCentByMzFlo
I got mine in the scent of Coco Chanel and I love it. I cannot compare it to a Coco Chanel Perfume as I don’t own one but I love this scent.
It comes in a cute little pocket, packaged ever so nicely; and even leaving it in your room it makes a lovely scent and the scent goes all around. Mine is now hanging in my boiling car outside, but I know that once I open the door and go inside my car, besides it being terribly hot I have this lovely scent too waiting for me.
I hope you liked this review. What do you think about these car perfume oil diffusers?
Thank you so much for reading, happy Sunday!
Yesterday I attended the last set of shows at Malta Fashion Week. I really enjoyed going to these shows, getting dressed everyday, being in heels and basically all dolled up for an unforgettable evening!
Yesterday, I also collaborated with TRESemme Malta! I really would love to thank them for such an opportunity and for sharing with me some lovely products! Yesterday, I actually did my hair wavy for the evening.
TRESemme was actually one of the main sponsors of Malta Fashion Week and with the help of all the hair stylists, the models’ hair always looked on fleek! As was the makeup by all the makeup artists who took part!
The final fashion shows were –
Suzana Peric from Serbia presented Dancing in the Clouds.
There were lots of dresses in black and white. Some were in red too. Basically a lot of colour was going on during the show. However, each dress mostly had just the one chosen colour.
I loved the dresses, all were so flow-y and girly. Most of the dresses had floral patterns. All the models’ hair were put in a pony tail and the makeup was kept natural.
My favourite outfit of the show –
Nathan Micallef who is studying in London, presented us with a presentation entitled Really Not Real. All the pieces were so unique and the models came so close to the audience.
The colours were mostly grey and white and most of the pieces had the emblem of Nathan’s brand. Well done to Nathan for this unique presentation.
The final show was by Ritienne Żammit. She gave us a hint of Maltese in her outfits. She presented with I Love Valletta. I like how she interpreted her home country into her fashion style. Her designs and patterns on the dresses were so unique!
I would love to get my hands on this outfit – I think that even though it is sportive it just is so fashionable! I love it!
The hair of the models were either in a short black bob or else some models were rocking space buns, such a trend right now! I loved their makeup too, so earthy.
My Outfit for the night (Photos thanks to Neil Psaila) –
What I am Wearing –
Top – Pimkie
Skirt – Vintage – back when Marks & Spencers was called St.Michaels

I truly enjoyed this lovely experience and am so sad that it’s coming to an end! I hope you enjoyed my blog posts all about Malta Fashion Week!
Thank you for reading.
So yesterday I attended Malta Fashion Week once again. It is such a lovely atmosphere, with everyone dressed to impress.
Both were presentations and I did not quite manage to get a good spot and so didn’t end up taking photos. But I can say that I enjoyed watching both presentations.
Rosita’s silk was beautiful, all the shades blended ever so nicely together. Whilst Carla’s swimwear looked great and made me want to be at a beach sipping a cocktail.
An exhibition that I was looking forward to was this one from Desiree.
She presented us with an exhibition of her Hand-Painted bags and shoes. And let me tell you they are amazing, so unique, colourful and fun!
I loved the skylines presenting Mdina and Valletta – the old and new capital cities of Malta.
The first show we had on the catwalk was from Ivory & Co.
They gave us a lovely spectacle of bridal wear. I guess every one of us girls imagine that big dream wedding we wish to have. And one of the things we probably spend time thinking about is a wedding dress. And I can say that these dresses would make lots of girls cry with joy! They were lovely and princess like. The dresses each designed so eloquently.
The model’s hair were all done in an up-style and lots had plaits tied nicely round the head.
There also were other dresses besides wedding dresses.
My favourite was the jumpsuit which was white with coloured flowers all around.
And the night ended with a fashion show from Gaetano who presented us with DIVAS.
And let me tell you, Gaetano did an amazing job in created Diva-liscious outfits!
The colours popped, the sparkles and glitters were shining and the models looked amazing and with that outfit they can ‘Run the World‘.
My favourite outfit of the night –
I love how the show ended with Claudia Faniello singing Breathlessly – the Maltese Eurovision song of 2017! Claudia looked radiant in that dress!

Top – Primark
Jeans – Bershka

Thank you so much for reading, hope you all have a lovely weekend!
Hope you are all doing fine! It is Malta Fashion Week here in Malta and this year I am attending the fashion shows and bringing you all the scoop on what is being presented!!
Today’s shows were – (Including my thoughts)
Presenting The Gods
The Gods show included so many pieces in Golden Yellow. The models’ hair and makeup reminded me of Greek Goddesses. All of them had a crown or a band on their heads. The show was truly mystical with every piece better than the other.
The dresses each had a different take. With some being all black and lace-y whilst others being golden and shiny.
The final dress though was the centre of attention. A long tail behind, I laid my eyes on the most exquisite and unique ‘wedding dress’ ever. With the front and back both with a Low V cut and the striped like pattern, the dress screamed perfection.
Presenting Vanity Rebels
Marco, did an amazing job in putting together all these pieces for the Vanity Rebels Show. I guess being a rebel means you stand out of the crowd. And my having one of these pieces, you surely well!
I loved how the men had these styled jeans made up of different materials. I think they matched nicely together and really have a wow factor!
The hair was put together all so well with lots of buns paired with plaits. And the models all had that dark lip on to get their rebel inside them going!
From this show, I got reminded on how much I want a denim badged jacket. There was one that literally kept me looking at the model until she left the catwalk! I honestly never saw a ripped denim jacket … until now! I love it! It was my favourite piece out of the show. I want it!
Presenting Boho Goddess
I was looking forward to this show. There were lots of different types of outfits in this show, mostly paired with a pink pair of shoes. There was lots of orange, pink and greys going on.
There was also some knitwear involved paired with baggy loose trousers or dresses. I also loved the models’ makeup and hair. Their lips were covered with a chalky blue and it went with the outfits.
My most favourite outfit of all was a dark red crop top and matching skirt. I can see myself wearing it with the cute matching bag too. It also reminded me of The Carrie Diaries – Remember that spin off from Sex and the City, when Carrie was younger?
The last set of outfits were revolved around the colour pink. I loved how Maria paired a different shade of pink with another and used different materials. Even though the outfits were plain, having those different shades of pink made them stand out even more! And some of the models also had some sort of hair crown on them which I guess screams Boho-ness!
The last outfit was so unique. It was a strapless embroidered dress with a beautiful pattern. I think that it ended the show perfectly!
A big thanks to the following 3 photos by Neil Psaila!
